Have a tentative stay last week of November 2023!

I'll pencil you in on the Be Our Guest List we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

Which resort? BC/YC or BCV?

:cool1:

Hello Dee when you get a chance please add me to Be our guest list fo 07/02/2023-07/23/223 . This year was so awesome, I wish I could just live on Disney World Property forever. View attachment 688303

Can't fault that plan. Worth one wish if a :genie: ever shows up!

I'll add you to the list for next year!

:woohoo:

Hello! Heading to BC in October with 4 teens….the last time we were there in 2020, there was no housekeeping. Has that changed? Hopefully, with so many teen boys

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest List.

:goodvibes

As others have posted, housekeeping is every other day right now

Hi - sorry if this question has already been asked. We are staying at the BC at the end of August and I'm curious - does the entrance to Epcot near the BC rent wheelchairs? I'm just hoping I don't have to go to the front of the park to grab one.

Thanks.

Barbara

I just added you to the list. (Better late than never?)

Hope you had a fantastic trip!

:dogdance:

ah thanks, debating whether i should make the switch to beach now!

I haven't read ahead to see if you switched or if others have commented.

IMHO, you should not be worried about the fact that there are no rooms available at the YC at the time of your trip. Pre 2020, both resorts and BCV were typically sold out most of the time and it is possible both will be during your trip. YC tends to be a bit quieter in general, the lobby is more serene as there are not as many non-resort guests there as there are at BC with families who are dining at Cape May. If the YC is booked with convention guests, you will not see them a lot because they will be involved in organized meetings and activities.

Changed up our week a bit, but still staying in December 2023! Now I am just looking at what room we could be getting, but it looks like touring views doesn't have our category.

What is your room category? Which resort?

There are threads on the Resort Community Subforum that have descriptions and views of a sample of rooms submitted by guests who have stayed there. Search for Beach Club Room Views or Yacht Club Room Views.

It's been just a little over a month since We came back from a week at the YC - honestly I love, love this resort and the whole crescent Lake area. Already planning an April 2023 trip, and possibly a very short trip in early December to see the Christmas lights. After not having traveled for 3 years because of the pandemic, We have a little catching up to do

This was our room view. Perfection.

I'll add your April trip to the list. Let us know if you finalize plans for December.

:cool1:

I've had that view before, a bit higher up back in 2019 - what we refer to as the before times. It's a great view. We're scheduled for a few days in September and I can't wait to get back. The YC is hands down my favorite resort and holds my best memories from WDW.

I'll add you to the list.

:dogdance:

My favorite resort. We will be there for 10 days in December for our first trip since 2019

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list

:woohoo:

We are planning a trip to Universal for next June and we’d like to visit Disney afterwards. I’ve been checking the Disney site for days and there is no availability at the end of June for either Yacht or Beach Club. Can it already be booked solid for next June? I’ll keep checking, but it caught me off guard.

Hope you are able to book something here!

:goodvibes

So my family and I are doing a split stay this December at Beach Club/AKL/Saratoga and we checked back to see if we could change the Saratoga part of our stay another hotel and we were able to grab Beach Club from December 29th-January 1st!! A little annoying to have to go from BC, AKL and then back to BC but we're super excited to be at Beach Club for New Year's!! Checking back for availability works, so don't give up.

I have adjusted your dates on the list.

:goodvibes

Well, I am super happy to report we were able to rent DVC points for our honeymoon next year so we'll be staying at Beach Club Villas instead of our backup plan of Yacht Club. Has anyone stayed in the villas that can recommend a good location to request? I know it's not till June of next year but I'm just toooo excited to start planning!
Woo-hoo!!!

Hi all, trying to sort out the differences between YC & BC. Trip would be for two (1 adult and 1 child). Am I correct in thinking that YC has "beverage coolers" and BC has actual mini fridges? I prefer the vibe of YC but if I'm correct about the fridges I guess I'll have to go BC!

Both YC and BC have the same beverage coolers. It is Beach Club Villas that has mini fridges.

Where are the current cup refill stations?
BC Marketplace, YC Marketplace and Hurricane Hanna's. :)

Was either this thread or the club levek thread where someone wanted pics of the hair dryer. Checked in yesterday. Here is the pics

Is this a Club level room? Just curious
From what I am seeing from my AAA printout and on the website, I don't think so. I could be wrong, but also when I initially booked, the direct Disney site didn't specify that it was club level.
I guess I should call to find out?

All Club level rooms at the YC are on the 5th floor. Not so for the Beach Club

I have only been twice to DW... once when I was 8 and then in 2022.
So, all of this terminology I am still learning. My guess is that most if not all Handicapped room are DVC or am I not, correct? I am speaking on all Disney owned resorts.

If you booked a resort (hotel) room at the Yacht club, the accessible room will be on the hotel side.
If you book a vacation club room (DVC) the accessible room will be on the DVC side.
There are handicapped accessible rooms on both sides of the Yacht Club.

Just a little correction: Yacht Club has a hotel only. Beach Club has both a hotel & a DVC resort.

I don’t stay DVC but I can say for sure every Disney owned resort has handicapped accessible rooms.
BCVs are configured with 3 specific rooms on all floors that are handicap accessible. Rooms x25, x28 and x30 are off the main elevator. x25 is a dedicated studio. x28 is a studio lock-off with x30 a 1BR, so can be configured as standalone studio, standalone 1BR or combined for a 2BR.
