what is the weirdest tv show you have watched?

a seemingly alcohol and drug fueled very local weekly movies till dawn show that no one seemed to care about censoring one bit. amazingly the internet holds a description of it-

Back in the Hippy-Dippy days of the 70s, SOURDOH was originally known as The Old Sourdough (spelled like the Bread). Starting in 1972 and lasting until 1984. San Fransisco Bay Area TV viewers were regaled by the sophisticated humor of “The Old Sourdough and Watchikanoka - Movies ‘til Dawn” A hilarious, tongue-in-cheek take-off on a 1950s-era kiddie show that aired in the middle of the night! Many Bartenders, Strippers, Musicians, Taxi Drivers and other late night denizens of the area loved to unwind after work to the nitwittery of this off-the-wall Duo!

Easy answer - Danger 5.

Although Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace is a serious contender.

Both are certainly worth watching. Garth features a true who’s who of British comedy legends.

Masha and the Bear - Russian kids show. Freakin weird. Those people are off..... And it just feels like doom. Impending, imperial, Soviet?, doom. With a bad girl on top.

Years ago, my family was in a car accident late at night in the Northern bits of MD near the PA border. We were on the I-road, so civilization wasn't too far away, but only DH could fit in the tow truck to take our car home. The paramedics cleaned us up (minor cuts and imbedded glass, etc.) and then drove me and the kids to the fire station to wait for DH to come back and get us with the other car. They set us up in the lounge with the cable TV and the kids watched Masha for hours. I was horrified. It probably took 4 hours, but DH eventually rescued us.

And now along with Spongebob, Masha is on the forbidden media list in my household.

Now that I think back, I watched some really weird horror/sci-fi anthology series back in the 80's or older re-runs.

The Ray Bradbury Theater - it's just the usual odd Ray Bradbury stories - it had the best production values.

Tales from the Darkside - random horror and sci-fi, best tagline. Adaptions from all kinds of horror short stories, etc.

“But, there is, unseen by most, an underworld. A place that is just as real, but not as brightly lit… a DARKSIDE!”

Friday the 13th: The Series - haunted antiques - it was silly sometimes.

Freddy's Nightmares - A Nightmare on Elm Street series - whoa, it was explicit

Night Gallery - just a classic - ghosts and weird stuff.

Legion is trippy weird, loved it though.

Weirdest gaggy one would be Twin Peaks.

Cool weird was Twilight Zone.

my dh is into all this kind of stuff and hands down the weirdest/grossest one i recall him watching was 'blood drive'. i get creepy flashbacks to it whenever i eat blue bunny ice cream (if you watched the one horrific season of it you will understand :crazy2: ).

I remember all these shows! I never saw Freddy's Nightmares, I think that was on cable?
Big fan of anthologies, with the original Twilight Zone as my fave.
The 80's also had the great Amazing Stories, new Twilight Zone (it was ok), and a new Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
The 90's had a fun show called Monsters, and of course the new Outer Limits.

One of my favorite Ray Bradbury episodes is with Jeff Goldblum, who decides to stop off in a town nobody ever goes to. He's soon followed by a strange guy who's been waiting forever for a stranger to show up.
I won't go further, but I enjoyed it. Disney animator Ward Kimball has a cameo for some reason, probably pals with Bradbury.

Tales from the Darkside, I have many of those on DVD. Such a cool show. I watch the first episode every Halloween season (it's the one with that witch).

Wow! I watched Monsters too. Always hilarious. Yeah, Amazing Stories was cool, but I think that one got cancelled pretty quickly.

The new Twilight Zone and Outer Limits didn't click with me as much, but I did watch the older b&w episodes.

I think "The Veldt" is my favorite Ray Bradbury episode. It's like he knew exactly what life would be like in 2022....

Night Flight was an awesome 80's show that featured musicians (performances/interviews), animated shorts, and sometimes whole movies. They showed movies like the original 1960 Little Shop of Horrors (with Jack Nicholson) and the surreal French animated film Fantastic Planet. I've heard this show referred to as a video magazine, which is a great way to describe it.

In the mid-90's there was Weird TV. It was like a funky video collage of different segments, skits that often made little sense. Musician interviews, "Doctor" Ruehl presenting UFO news (he's also been on America's Got Talent....yep), but the meat of the show was all the real material shot by the host Chuck Cirino: Burning Man footage, interviews with people who collect or do weird stuff. Some episodes are on YouTube.

Rubber. A movie about a psychotic tire. Yes, the star of the film is a tire. Skins on Netflix, omg, super weird and kind of gross, you'll never see anything like it again.
