Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Hi, all- Hope ya'll are well and had a great 4th :)!

Posting one of my "asking for my sister who won't come on the boards" questions! She has been dithering over plans for her and her daughter for the end of Dec, and she just solidified a trip that will have her flying into/out of MCO. She wants to tack a one night stay at WDW for the night of 12/31. Ideally, she'd like the ability to watch fireworks (view from room or lounge) and club level access. Her daughter might be tired, so she's anticipating NOT wanting to leave the lounge area to view fireworks. So, you know, not a big "ask" or anything, hahaha.

WL has CL available (standard or deluxe) - I have stayed there, but it was a long time ago - if she can't see anything from the room, is there a viewing balcony for fireworks (she's aware there will be obstructions due to trees)? I found some reports, but I'd rather hear it from the experts. I know that one or two of you posted NYE club things last year, looked like a blast!

Otherwise, the CLs available are CSR's GDT (deluxe suite, this may actually be a good choice, but I'm clueless about it) and BC water view. AKL has CL, but that will be a no-go.

Any advice? Truly appreciated, as always!

(Edited to correct typo and specify GDT room)

Any recent experiences with the Poly club level? Also wondering if they offer daily housekeeping at club level yet or still every other day? We have a trip in late July and was not sure what is fully back or still not yet regarding club level?

Unless they built one on I don’t recall a balcony at WL CL. Though I could be forgetting too. The CL lounge is at the worse end of the resort for unobstructed views of MK. The ends seem to have the better views. Trying to picture what view if any it would have of the lagoon for the NYE addition

All the CL have daily housekeeping now

I didn’t recall it either, but there are a few websites that mention it. 🤷‍♀️ It’s a little frustrating to watch her dither!! Her best bet is grabbing SOMETHING and then start stalking rooms, IMO. She’ll get closer to what she wants, but I think we’ve all learned that to get exactly what you want, you often need to book it early.

There are two small balconies off the WL CL lounge (irrelevant info... the current lounge actually used to be two Honeymoon Suite rooms and these were the balconies on those rooms). These are several years old, but pics attached. Not really good for fireworks viewing given obstructions, IMHO.

Worse case go out to the patio by geyser point

Ah. Those were once rooms so makes total sense to have those little balconies

I can’t imagine seeing fireworks there

Greetings,
I just spent a wonderful time at WL CL last month. Although I did not watch fireworks from the resort, I did see the castle, behind a glass pane, while walking the 7th floor hallway. See picture below.

On another occasion, I overheard the CM telling a guest that they can see fireworks from their room. So apparently some standard rooms do have the view of MK.

Many moons ago, I also stayed at a BC water view. We saw Storm-along Pool. No fireworks.

OT but just sharing how I have been thrilled beyond belief to have Minnie Van service back. We've been using it all over property just like old times. I don't have a problem with Uber/Lyft but sometimes it's just more fun/convenient to use a Minnie Van, as a parent I know what I'm getting in terms of cleanliness of the vehicle and safety, the CMs are often fantastic, etc. Other than Epcot closing one night availability was pretty decent (although that's always YMMV of course). Even saw several familiar driver faces from way back and it was a good reminder of just how incredibly disruptive the WDW closure was for so many, especially with long-closed departments like Minnie Vans. Great to have them back in service.

Thanks!! I suspect it would be tough to secure a viewing position here. ;)! Yes, there are some standard rooms with high fireworks views, obstructed a bit.

Agree on BC. YC water view rooms often deliver a fireworks view, but BC, not so much.

Minnie Vans are THE BEST. One of the best places to blow my Disney dollar…

I've watched the fireworks from those 2 WL CL balconies several times and thought it was a fine view. One of my favorite Disney memories is being out there watching the fireworks, drinking sparkling wine and eating a gold dusted cupcake, it doesn't get much better than that. I haven't seen the new show from there though. Theres a better view from the window thats at the end of the hall where the presidential room is (around the corner from the lounge) HOWEVER, no music is played here so they lose the magic some IMO.

What are your favorite breakfast places? Staying BWI and heading to MK leisurely. My husband and youngest will be golfing so want a breakfast for me and my other son. He likes plain typical breakfast food. I have Topolinos booked but feel bad going without my other son. Neither care about the characters.
I agree with others. Trattoria is great. The tiramisu French toast and caprese omelet are my two favorites. Grand Floridian Cafe is also a favorite. I LOVE the lobster Eggs Benedict with a Grand Mimosa (regular mimosa on steroids)!

How have the crowds been at the Atrium club at CR? Is it difficult to get a seat (specifically at breakfast time)?

Do they replenish the food quickly? It looks like they don’t put out huge quantity of things like muffins, croissants at one time.

I was recently there. IME it is relatively crowded during breakfast, but really not any different than other CLs IMHO - constant ebbs and flows. Dumb Genie and daily Early Park Entry gets everyone up early and I swear it has jumbled up that nice early AM window you used to have at CL, but that could just be me being grumpy. :-)

Food seemed to be replenished quickly to me - there are alot of CMs around, almost seems borderline overstaffed at times, but I hate to even put that in writing.

Ultimately I like the renovated lounge setup as they desperately needed more counter space, but it sort of makes the seating area 'feel' more crowded. I like the larger table more outside the lounge in the elevator lobby as a good spot, gets you away from the lounge commotion a bit.

HTH!
