$207 Base for VGF2. Great incentives!

1--- This must annoy re-sale buyers who paid practically the same price for "restricted" points.
2 -- Given this "bargain" relative to recent re-sale, I expect very very healthy initial wave of sales....
3 -- Past the first wave, in another 6 months.. if pricing remains in line with Riviera, it will be interesting to compare the monthly sales of each. Certainly, for the next 3-6 months, the "initial wave," GFV sales will soar higher than the other properties.

What's the price for 150pts non member?
In all likelihood, it will be a base price of $207 per point with incentives that are not as good as today's incentives for current members. Someone reported that the base price is rumored to go to $250 on April 1 but it's only a rumor and only being reported by one person so far.

They aren't going to raise the base price that fast.
Though I'm sure they will adjust based on sales and demand. At the current price, similar to recent resale pricing, I'd expect a huge initial wave of sales. If strong sales continue past the initial wave, you'll see the price hiked more quickly. If sales slow down, you won't see aggressive price increased.

I’d say thats bonkers base goes up for at least a few months

so we are looking at adding a VGF2 contract with a fixed week but can't decide if the lake view would be worth it or not? If we do a lake view it does give us the next direct pricing tier but that is of course spending more overall. Not sure how the lake view looks on the new building and if resell is going to be harder on a 180 vs 200 point contract. I figure that won't matter much right?

We just officially got our resale copper creek contract and membership set up two weeks ago and here I am thinking of adding points direct. The addonitis is real. 😬
I just got SSR resale, 200 points march use year loaded with banked 2021 points as well (and we even had 23 leftover banked 2020 points that we used for a quick night at the Poly in February, lol) and I'm already eyeing up add on contracts as well lol

We bought a FW at Riviera in Preferred View as Standard was not available at that point for week 48. Required 147 but we bumped up to 150 because it was cheaper. Have yet to use the fixed week - we have converted to to regular points and used those to book split stays in RIV Std studio and a MK resort. But when it starts getting more difficult to book RIV in the future we are good knowing we will always have that fixed week!

I’m pretty disappointed as a December UY. Has anyone exclusively as a Dec UY tried yet?

I actually wasn’t planning to use them this calendar year, but they don’t need to know that.

That's interesting. I don't think we've ever seen a FW contract for anything but the exact FW amount. I can't see DVC IT being thrilled with this.

Absolutely a major perk. Precisely why we own at BLT and BWV. The 'rear entrance' to BWV/BCV or even YC can't be beat after fireworks at EP. Avoiding crowds and busses at the end of a long day at 3 parks is completely worth it. The walk to DHS in the morning is fantastic for us as well. It's hard for me to get the family to stay at a bus resort anymore. They are spoiled. :)
Absolutely. We waited close to an hour to get on a bus after the PM extra magic hours (or whatever its called now) at Magic Kingdom earlier this month. I would have paid a lot of $$ to have been able to just walk to my room.
I am seriously considering selling my 275 point poly contract and buying a 300 points VGF. These incentives are WAY better than I expected.
We have a 100pt resale contract at BLT, that I'm seriously considering selling and buying 300 VGF points. The significantly lower than expected price is throwing me for a loop - I never even considered VGF, until now.

I kind of think it’s odd that they don’t have an exact opening date to share even though VGF members can start booking in a week and a half from now.

During the early part of COVID 2020 I picked up our Poly for 120pp and we were actually looking to add 50 more points resale in the near future. So I could easily justify this purchase based on increased value in Poly and the incentives at 300. My fear is that these VGF prices are going to absolutely KILL larger sized monorail contracts until this sells out. Why on earth would you buy restricted resale points when for 15% more you can get direct with benefits.

I have a contract like that as well that I shared about in my Fixed Week thread that I created. They will bump the points slightly to hit the incentive. Since we don't plan on using that specific FW often it made sense since that early December timeframe I think could be adjusted where it becomes a deal.

I will say once you are getting out to 20 points though they will likely start to possibly okay a separate contract smaller than the minimum required to purchase. (There is a number not positive if it was 20 or not but you need to ask the guide to try and get it approved)

IT doesn't care much since in order to cancel the FW you have to call/chat and they manually adjust the points back anyways to give you the correct total.

LOL, I think you have the same week as me! I saw your post in 2020 when your 2021 FW showed in your dashboard and mine didn't so it alerted me to call and find out what the issue was :)
