You guys.... I just saw a tiktok where Mickey (like actual in a park Mickey) was doing the crip walk in the middle of main street with the marching band behind him!! :rotfl2:I'd share it but as the music the creator added has the actual lyrics, I wasn't sure if its allowed.

Adding I have no idea if it's real or not, but it looked pretty real

I was born in 65 and I liked it. When California Love came out in 95 I was still single, childless, and going out to clubs.

Same...I was born in 67, my younger sister in 65 and we loved it. We were in our early 20s when that music was out and they were the songs we danced to and yes...sang along to. I know what the lyrics are....I get all of that criticism, but we loved it back then. I don't listen to any new rap at all...and don't listen to that old rap a lot either, but it's from "our time". I thought it was really perfect for L.A. It is what it is...you'd either love it or hate it. I still think Prince was the best ever....but did enjoy this year.

Wouldn't that make her your older sister? LOL

Are you kidding? this is the only halftime performance I have ever enjoyed. Usually they seem to drag on forever and I'm bored, this one the time flew and I couldn't believe it when it was over so soon, definitely left me wanting more! I assumed you were the same age as me, maybe you are not though? 40 years old here and that was my music back in the day! Well, not Kendrick, everyone else though.

As far as I can tell by the gazillion comments on Social Media, this halftime show is just like every halftime show since they began (probably) - half the watchers hated it and half the watchers loved it. My young adult sons loved it and that genre. I was never a fan and only recognized Lose Yourself. I have no idea if I ever heard the others but maybe. We use the halftime to refill refreshments, use the bathroom, take the dog outside for business, etc. Perhaps those fans in attendance actually enjoy the halftime show or maybe, like me, they are using that time to do other things and not miss the game.

Ladies and gentlemen,
If we judged all the musicians in the world on their morality, there wouldn't be any left. Just appreciate the music that you like and move on. Some of my favorite music (Paul McCartney) would never align with other views I have. That's just life.
Sir Paul is my all time favorite artist!

Really? That's interesting that you were surprised by that. What do you think music producers like Dre do? Being able to play instruments, write music and songs, and understand music theory are all prerequisites for this type of job. Producers are inherently musically talented individuals.
Hey, I'm with her as well. I never knew what the heck he did. I was impressed with the piano part too.

It’s not the same argument, though. People who don’t like country, and I am one of those people, would say we don’t like the music to whatever degree of dislike we have for it. We wouldn’t denigrate the artists. Whenever the conversation is about rap/hip hop or female pop singers, it’s the artists themselves being attacked.
mmmm....I would lol. I hate country and I think Johnny Cash was a loser. :teeth: 647848

I didn't even watch that one because I cannot stand listening to Katy Perry, so I had no idea what the big deal was with left shark the next day when everyone was talking about it.
Someone's got to explain the shark thing to me now

I'm 50 and oddly enough, I wouldn't mind seeing a Post Malone half time show if the Cowboys were in the Superbowl.

I think it was at DL after the parade Monday. I've only seen the tiktok video of it. The whole band is doing it too. It's great. I'd share it, but it's got uncensored music that the user put with it. But the users tiktok name is versace something.

I feel like if you older than 37 (meant 47)or younger than 30 this was not the concert for you. Also apple bottom jeans was a 2000 song. These were for 80s kids who were teens in 95-98.
When you use the term 80's kids, that is me. 80's kids aren't toddlers oblivious to the outside world in the 80's. When you say "decade" kids, to me that means your teen and high school years. I grew up in the 80's in that I entered into and finished the teen years in the 80's. I was a parent with a full time job buying a house in the 90's. Popular culture isn't relevant to you when you're in kindergarten.

Yeah, I was born in '62, and that was the only song I recognized too. I don't expect the halftime show to always appeal to me and can't bother to get worked up over it. I liked Springsteen, U2, Prince, (not a country fan at all.)

Born in the 80s. Also I was just trying to give the age range of people who would most likely enjoy the concert. Obv there will be people on both sides who also enjoy this type of music. Not really sure what your reply is trying to say.
