***January 2022 Thread*** - Kicking Off 2022 with WDW!

Is the weather usually such that a person would have fun at a water park in January?
I think it depends on the year honestly. There's no one way to answer that. Some years they're open and some its so cold they remain closed straight through February. Right now its shaping up to look like the Orlando area in January would be quite comfortable to swim.

I am excited to have some weather good for swimming and will be using the pool at least once at the resort...
It's been a few years since I last swam haha

does the December weather indicate a mild January? just curious

I wouldn't bet on anything where weather is concerned. From my friend who lives in Orlando, January and February are the most unpredictable months of the year. She's told me they can get as much as a 40 degree swing in temps in just a couple days. My prediction of this year is simply based on the Accuweather predictions thus far, but I wouldn't rely on that until much closer to my trip.

That's what we're using right now. Even from yesterday to today we've seen a huge change in the prediction for our trip dates! We leave in 2 weeks!!!

We go almost every January and I always just plan for layers.
We usually are able to get in the pool at least once during the trip in the afternoon but the nights definitely get cool. 2020 was absolutely freezing. This year is looking a lot milder but I would still wait until a day or two before your trip to really rely on the weather apps.

Leaving Saturday also, but driving from PA. We'll stop in GA overnight and will arrive at Saratoga springs around Noon on Sunday.
First time in 6 years that our oldest (25) is able to make the trip with us so hoping all goes well. Nervous about everything going on but have controlled all we can (vaccines, boosters, masks etc).
Fingers crossed!
