Dog and cat food.
THIS. The entire wet cat food sections is bare. None of what the cat normally eats has been available for weeks.
Dog and cat food.
There's been a cream cheese shortage at Publix for a couple weeks. The other day they had a few tubs and the garden/veggie one was one that was back in stock. That was the one of the ones I was also looking for. Send some of the salmon down here, I like that one.The other day I noticed Shop Rite was practically wiped out of cream cheese, both blocks and tubs of whipped. They had blocks of SR brand widely spaced to make the case appear a bit full.
Specifically I was looking for Kraft (Philadelphia) whipped cream cheese with veggies. Nope. SR brand would have been OK, but the only tubs available were with salmon or other yucky flavors.
We haven't ben able to find chocolate graham crackers for a couple months now...seems like an odd thing to be out of. I also noticed no Kraft Philadelphia cream cheese at the store today. Had to buy a different brand....nothing we can't live without but it is scary to think what happens when it's more important things that are difficult to find.
Have you looked at Zeiss lenses...they come from Germany.I went to Costco Thursday (senior hour in the morning) to order my biennial pair of glasses, one regular, one sunglasses, both tri-focal. Costco is the 5th largest optical supplier in the US.
The employee taking care of me looked up my account and record and then asked if I would like either bifocals or Transitions. I thought I knew what Transitions were, but asked to confirm my thoughts. She said what I thought they were, lenses that adapt to the lighting conditions, clear to dark, dark to clear. I replied no, neither, I would like my usual (for over 30 years now) trifocal regular and trififocal sunglasses.
She said that it would be at least several more weeks to fill that order, all the lens blanks used for trifocals are on ships out in the Pacific waiting to unload. She said it's been a long time since they have had trifocals availabe for the normal one week or less delivery time. She said they were hoping for supplies before December. So, I will be wearing my 2 year old glasses for some time yet.
I guess the supply chain issues are deep and wide, even in places I would not have thought of.
How about you, have you had any supply chain issues in the past year?
I "liked" that post as a way of empathizing/identifying with the poster. I'm in the US and seeing the same thing. Certain brands like the ones our pets like are harder to get and have gone up by 40%+. Have a hard time getting them to eat anything else, so just dealing with it.so very sorry. Haven’t seen that in USA yet. I don’t know how anyone could like that.

I can find what I need but the price gouging is ABSURD!
My wife has been on a binge of cooking recipes with cream cheese the past few weeks. Cream cheese brownies. Creamed spinach and creamed cheese mashed potatoes, no shortage here.
