Christmas music, when does it start in your house?

We start decorating basically November 1st, starting indoors. Then we move to outdoors. Other than a few quick tests, nothing is actually turned on until the Friday after Thanksgiving.

The music starts when we start decorating.

And to clarify, we are not decorating 24x7. A little time here, a little time there. We are very decorated, but not the most decorated house in the neighborhood.

Just yesterday started to find my favorite holiday CDs just in case .
I can listen to the Candlelight Processional year round.

Nov. 1, Of course there will come a time mid-way through that I'll take a break from it, to only return.

Thanksgiving. We usually put up the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. We like watching the parades and kind of feel Santa at the end is ushering in Christmas.

My wife is Jewish so we decorate for Chanukah as well (I have both a Christmas tree and a 4 foot spinning dreidel in my living room).

The earliest is the week before Christmas. Usually when I'm decorating the tree I'll put some on the TV then turn it off when I'm done. On Christmas day we usually have it on the TV just for background noise. Otherwise that's it. I used to like to listen to it from about the first of December but then the radio stations started playing it before Thanksgiving and the local station I listen to plays only Christmas music for entire month of December and I got tired of it.
