We went last night (Wednesday, December 9th) and absolutely LOVED it. The event is incredibly well put together, and the light displays are simply outstanding.
It was festive, it was fun, but there are components that are quite moving and humbling as well. Standing in the castle, looking up at the 160,000+ stars on the ceiling that represent the children who have stayed at the Village and had their wishes granted by GJTW, is.....heart-squeezing. Its an almost reverent moment. And it will really, REALLY make you glad you supported such a worthwhile cause.
The lights, though, are eye-popping. Clark Griswold would be proud! I took hundreds of photos and will upload a few for anyone who wants a visual. The village is large so wear good shoes and come ready to do some walking!
They do have some event merchandise for purchase (credit card only, no cash) including some adorable Christmas tree ornaments, featuring the art of one of the Wish kids, that are just $7 each. All proceeds of the sale of those items goes to GKTW as well.
