Yep! And I'm in Lincoln, so I'm sure the next thing I'll hear is there is a positive case here because someone who attended the tournament got it.

I'm in Seward so not far from you. someone told me the lady was sick for more than a week before she attended the special olympics event.

Now I'm expecting our schools to close very soon.

I work for a healthcare system but I work in the outpatient building (but in an admin suite) directly across the street from the hospital.

The one confirmed case in my county is at a different hospital but yesterday my healthcare system sent out an email stating this man was in one of our urgent care centers last week so the 4 employees there have been quarantined. There are two patient's in isolation at the hospital and were tested with results coming in today.

Elementary student tested positive in a suburb of Indianapolis yesterday, so an announced 2 week closure for the school starting today. The same school district has all the other schools closed today only for e-learning.

My son is at Rowan. If he has to come home he will be upset. It's his first semester on campus.

They just sent out an email a few minutes ago letting us know the plan IF administrators decide to close schools which includes online learning. They are also disinfecting and having meetings telling kids not share water bottles, wash hands, etc.

Considering that the man who tested positive is in the town next to ours, I suspect we will be closed in the next week or so.

Aaaannnndddd my son just called to let me know his spring break was extended a week. Spring break is next week and they were to go back 3/23. They don't go back until 3/30.

DD is in middle school and her spring break isn't until the week after Easter.

Here we go .... after school activities cancelled today and school tomorrow. Supposedly a traveling employee that goes to many schools now in hospital. Guess tomorrow they scramble on what to do. I expect they had no plan ... I mean only 94,000 students to coordinate ........ plans are good even if never used.

Just got an email about a confirmed case of a parent in our school district in North Texas. We are on spring break so it just reminded everyone to wash hands and that they were monitoring the situation. I guess spring break could be extended if it spreads but our district basically refuses to close for anything in order not to inconvenience parents so I could also see it running through the schools and them staying open.

They closed an entire school district because two kids who came in contact with the physician go to school there. A few people I work with have kids that go to that district. Luckily they have nannies so it won't disrupt their lives much.

My son is a senior at TCNJ, they are deciding on Wednesday if they can come back after spring break. He only has 2 classes and 1 is basketball, the other just projects, plus a full time internship, so it won’t really effect him. My friend’s daughter is a junior at IHA and their trips to Rowan and UD were cancelled. My juniors toured Rutgers today, scheduled UD in a couple of weeks. If colleges close, they can’t tour. Dd16 did a weekend at UD visiting her sister, but no tour.

Heard a similar rumor regarding schools on LI - one public school closed today. I’m bringing some things home in case we’re out for a while.

We are in Cobb and no closures here yet. Field trips have to be re-approved and overseas trips are on a temporary hold.

If it’s in Fulton, it will be in Cobb soon. The local news said Fulton County closed tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how long they stay closed. A deep cleaning of a school would be hard to get done in a day.

Our DD & older DS commute to college, but there are a lot of dorm students at their particular college.

All school-sponsored travel has been cancelled.

The students also received an email last week discussing the possibility of online learning.

And, in all the classes, students are being instructed to not come to class if they’re sick. They’ve also been reminded of proper & frequent hand-washing.

Spring Break is next week, & the email also stated that the college will be deep-cleaned over the break.

That’s what makes no sense to me. No one at the college currently has been diagnosed w/ the virus. What good does it do to clean the college over the break & then welcome the students back from all over the country after Spring Break?

All the students who went home for the break are going to come back w/ germs - and possibly the coronavirus. What good does it do to preemptively clean?

I almost think it makes more sense to let schools get to their Spring Breaks, if possible, & then just not come back after the break.

2 kids exposed and on quarantine - no signs yet. Other multiple confirmed cases in our area. School district approx 60K thousand kids, not closing, not telling us which actual schools those kids attend.

Yes. It was a teacher that teaches at a couple schools but then other staff work at even other schools, and families have kids at all levels. Domino effect. Sadly the teacher got very sick at school and taken to hospital in ambulance.

Given our system is split in half, could the half without still attend school? I mean why should they have their schedules disrupted? But like you say give it a week and every system will have someone test positive. We know its already there.

I don't think they had a plan so tomorrow will be used to clean those specific schools, probably some light cleaning at rest and the Board etc have some decisions to make. We are already out this Friday and our cluster also out Monday. A teacher I know in neighboring school says rumor is they are leaning to call it a week and have time to figure things out. Long ago these schools should have looked to the college system and be able to have video/online teaching if necessary.

And our nyc Private school closed. We got the email right after dismissal today that the whole school is closing at 6 tonight indefinitely. We are starting spring break next Monday. Three. Weeks. Is. A. REEEEEEEEALLLLLY. Long. Time.
