In the midst of all the general chatter, I think my credit card related post got lost? I am wondering if I could get some feedback on experiences with Citi. I am looking to apply my husband for one of their cards in the next month or two. It is a targeted offer that we got in the mail. Neither of us has any Citi cards yet. He has a credit score of 780. Here is his credit history:

Bank of America BankAmericard - 01/2018
Chase Ink Cash - 03/2018
Chase IHG - 03/2018
Chase Ink Unlimited - 2/2019
American Express Bonvoy Business - 10/19

Any feedback is really appreciated. Thanks!
I recently got a CitiPremier Card, in September. I was at 3/24 though 2 of those cards dropped off in September. I have had multiple Citi cards before though, 1 Citi AA personal and 2 AA Biz since 2016, and a Sears Card since 2010. I had instant approval with a $7300 CL and a credit score >800.

I just booked the cross-Australia train trip for next September! Dh and I have wanted to do this ever since we saw it on some PBS show about train travel eons ago :cheer2: I can't believe it's really going to happen:lovestruc

Still waiting for the flights home to open up :surfweb: My guess is either November 1 (because a month's worth of Air Canada flights appeared on Oct 1) or 3 weeks from now (based on how United flights are loading each week). I am not handling the wait well:scared::laughing:
That looks awesome! I loved taking the train all over Europe and despite a horrible overnight trip where we kept having to move cars on a completely packed train because the whole train wasn't going to the final destination I'd love to do it again. This trip looks just a little more upscale! Australia is on DH's bucket list...maybe someday. Love to hear how it goes next year.

This chart could be useful to approximate when your travel time may become available for upcoming releases, however they don't always follow the exact same pattern (as you can see above) They appear to be tightening the inventory a bit this year vs. prior year's releases.

RELEASE TIMES:
  • The release on 10/30/19 went live at 7:15am.
  • The release on 9/26/19 went live at 7:30am.
  • The release on 8/15/19 went live at 10:41am.
  • The release on 5/30/19 went live at 9:20am.
If you want to search back for this post in the future - just search my name and "release". You could also bookmark this comment on the new DIS somehow (or so I heard).
Thanks for this. Added to my calendar so I can book our return flights.

And bookmarked! Thanks for this. I hope they hold off releasing late August until at least the beginning of February. We are almost completely out of SW points right now and I need the 80k from the Biz Performance to post before those flights open. I would hate to have to buy them after the release and then have to stalk the SW site for months trying to get my points back every time they adjust their prices.

I know. Champagne problems lol. I'm with you. I always get nervous but I'm sure it will work out for both of us:-)

I am embarrassed to say here that I got dangerously close to hitting my SW Biz Performance MSR without even thinking about it. Stuff was a little hectic getting our car repaired after an accident and I just threw the card down not realizing I had already put $150 spend on it. We are $220 away from hitting the 5K MSR and I have locked the card up until January. Fingers crossed that over $200 left to spend will keep those points from posting. I won't be able to forgive myself if I screw up this CP.
I came close too on one of my cards without realizing, about $150 close. I thankfully was ok and points did not post early.

Wow.. I just checked again flights to MCO are still about the same. Odd thing was the only direct flight was 10k and the next cheapest with 2hr layover was 15k. Now I checked return flights and they are like 25k! Ouch! Our return is beyond their schedule right now, but just checking the 5th/6th of June and those prices right now are NUTS! Good thing we return on a Monday. Odd tho so many flights are 'sold out' at the cheap rate, they must add seats slowly.
I always find Sunday returns to be the most expensive. Our June trip is Burbank/Anaheim, which was 12,675 points one way. Still the same as this morning. March/April to NOLA was 12,602 each way, which is now 12,965. We return on a Thursday. Nonstop return on Saturday is 14-16k but 25-30k on Sunday unless you leave at 0535 or arrive home after midnight.

All three of you are very cute!

@vanjust14 Didnt notice til @tink1970 mentioned! Your pic of you three is adorable 😍 Now if only your ds would go on a trip too so we could see the whole fam!
Thank you!
Haha, even if he came he wouldn't let me take his pic, lol. His bday happens to be tomorrow and he will be 21! I told him he needs to come on one of these vacations soon. I'll try to get a pic Friday at his bday dinner 😉

Wow!!! So crazy. I know he’s just a bit older than my oldest but 21 sounds so old and grown up!
One of my ds’s bday is today 😊

I got our May SW flights booked this morning, mostly anyways :) We're 5600 RR short for DD6's return flight. I'm planning on going for the CP for 2020/2021 and going to apply for the SW Performance Biz next week. I'm debating whether to go ahead and transfer 6k UR's over and booking her flight, or just waiting till Jan when I (hopefullly) get the SUB, then cancelling all together when I (again hopefully) get the CP in April. It's probably worth it for peace of mind to go ahead and transfer, but I'm going to ponder a little while.

I'd been hoping we'd have enough to cover everyone's flights but we didn't. Flight out was 12k RR from MCI to MCO, flight back was 11.5k RR. I'm hoping they'll go down but we'll see. This year was about 2k pp/RT higher than last year. I wasn't sure whether to fly back on Sat or Sun, but went ahead and decided to stay the Sat. night and fly back early Sun. Planning on working Mon so that should be interesting! I usually like to give myself a full day to get settled back at home. I couldn't resist the allure of a another full day at UO instead of a half-day! Maybe I'll work from home that Mon to ease back in...
