Worst Movies Ever!

The Mist

The Babadook

The Christmas Sheperd

Independence Day: Resurgence (the original one is one of my favs)

Mother!

And I'm sure there's more
I just finished watching Mother! I seriously don't get it. What the heck?? My husband told me I sure know how to pick 'em. So many bad movies out there- Wild Wild West, Twilight, A Christmas Story, The Happening.

Both my husband and I looked at each other after watching Mother! and was like what.did.we.just.watch o_O.

I can appreciate artsy-style movies at times but whoa it was just way too weird for us

I worked at a video store so I saw a lot of bad movies. The worst was Glitter. Oh my gawd it was so awful! The worst movie I saw in theaters was They. I was rooting for the monsters to eat her!

Hudson Hawk, Agnes of God, A Christmas Story, The Color Purple (Spare me the Oscar talk. My mom & I toughed it out but 1/2 the theater left before it was over and I wish we had, too. So boring!)

All the Twilight movies except the last one. Funny at the time they were in the theater, I didn’t mind them so much. Now, after watching decent vampire tv shows, I see Twilight and realize what utter garbage it was.

I was going to say From Dusk ‘Til Dawn, but then I noticed The Thin Red Line was already nominated, so that gets my vote!

We don't go to the movies very often as it's expensive for our group (cheap shows don;t exist anymore), but we did do the kids summer movie series in our town a few years back, for $2 a show you can't beat the price! Never were they Disney movies, and some you dragged your feet to go see, especially if they were played during the winter matinee series as well.
  • The Smurfs (and sequels)
  • The Chipmunks (and sequels)
  • Ice Age (and sequels)
  • Yogi Bear (...was probably one of the best shown in that matinee series...:sad2:)
I know there's more, but thankfully I convinced the grandparents to take the kids, lol

I’ll probably get flamed for this, but Napoleon Dynamite. DH & I watched it with our (then) junior high age DS. He thought it was hilarious and we kept waiting for it to be good. Then it was over. Awful!

I heard those horrible reviews about Glitter, and years later I saw it at the library so I borrowed it. (I wouldn't pay to rent it, not even a dollar.)

Anyway, I didn't think it was THAT bad. Yeah, total fluff, totally forgettable, but really no worse than half the junk Hollywood produces.

I was so annoyed by Beowulf.

I had just finished reading the epic poem for my British Literature class in college and was so psyched to see it made visual.

And it was a massive disappointment from beginning to end.

I did get extra credit for writing a review for the professor. It was quite long and I ended it with, "Robert Zemeckis owes me $8."

so many to choose from............but i'll settle on 2:

eraserhead :crazy2::crazy2::crazy2:

elmo in grouchland :crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2:
-this is the gold standard in our home by which all other bad movies are judged, if someone claims to have seen the worst movie ever we ask 'but was it elmo in grouchland bad?????'.
