What discontinued snack/beverage would you bring back?

Cookies called Lemon Coolers put out by Sunshine I believe. My sister says the girl scouts sell a similar cookie but I never think to try it. A few years ago Walmart had a similar cookie but it disappeared from the store after I bought a few boxes.

I can't remember the brand name, but when I grew up you could buy a tray of mini pizzas. There were three different flavors per tray; cheese, pepperoni and sausage. Four or five of each.

They were good! My granny would always have those ready for us after school. We'd lay on the floor in front of the tv and eat them.

Tree Tavern frozen pizza. My mom would buy them for a quick dinner, probably the best frozen pizza at the time. She’d drizzle a little olive oil on it before baking.
Also, Mrs Pauls (I think), corn fritters. Bake some up and drizzle maple syrup on them. Yum. Went to Gatlinburg a few years ago and had fritters...blech. Not like the ones I remembered.

Of course, if I were to have these foods now, probably better in my memory.

Loved these cookies! I think they were covered in powdered sugar. I keep looking for them in the store even though I haven't seen them for years.

Can't remember the name (sesame something) but Trader Joe's used to have these small flat chips that were like little fortune cookie bites.

Has this been formerly discontinued, or just harder to find? I recall seeing some recently in the store (I too am a fan, so I notice if that particular product is on the shelves)....
I think it was changed a bit when it came back...very hard to find and nowhere near as good!

That's because Hostess actually went out of business (in 2012). About a year later, some other company (Apollo Global Management), purchased the "Hostess" name and products, and started selling them in 2013. They're not the same.

Technically it should be the successor and it could be absolutely identical. They have access to all the recipes and have production in several of the same bakeries using the same equipment, and they rehired most of the employees working there.

From what I understand, what happened was that they ordered that the recipes and techniques be altered to improve shelf life.

Whatever reason - it's not the same product.

I know there are alternatives, but there was never a better honey roasted peanut than the one from Eagle Snacks. I remember when Eagle Snacks honey roasted peanuts were only distributed by airlines before they became sold in stores. Also - Eagle Snack potato chips.

Actually I think history is lined with various regional and national brands that tried to challenge Frito-Lay in snack foods. There are various small-time players, but I remember when there were various brands that were available. At least in California we could find the Laura Scudder and Granny Goose brands, and I mentioned Eagle Snacks, which was owned by Anheuser-Busch. For whatever reason, none of them had the clout to remain in business in any meaningful way.

Sure - it was a business decision made under the new ownership. A lot of companies make changes even without a change in ownership. I frankly miss the old McDonald's fries that were cooked in beef fat. That was a business decision based on the public perception that "vegetable oil" was better for one's health.

Plantars Cheese Balls were my #1. Also, Ore-Ida had a cheesy hashbrown cake that was SO good. My mom would make those for weekend breakfasts. And, the Ore-Ida Frozen Mashed potatoes. The only mashed potatoes, other than REAL, that taste good.
