Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Sidebar on my email to WDW, currently sitting at 8 days from last communication. Its one thing just to completely blow off a guest and another to send some email with some sorrys in it with some kind of reason but this is just starting to drive me crazy.

At this point, has anyone with an upcoming YC stay received notification from Disney about the new dog policy?

There are always lots of other messages about MagicBands, "Things to do before your WALT DISNEY WORLD® vacation," etc., but nothing about this policy change.

How many guests will find out when they arrive at YC?

I received an email a couple weeks ago.

I check-in to YC late next week. I have not received a notice about the dogs. I’m not personally concerned. But it is a little odd not to universally tell guests in advance. (I will check back in after with my trip experience.)

we have not received any emails sadly but have made multiple calls. We have upcoming stay the week after Thanksgiving and have also been told, depending on who we spoke with, that both yes and no dogs are and aren't allowed on the club level floor !! How frustrating! So I'm assuming they will be allowed. We also have spent over an hour on the phone with guest services trying to relocate with no success. Hoping for the best but will call again at 30 days out and 5 maybe. Will a switch make me lose my fastpasses?

I found my email in my spam folder, it came from Disney Destinations

I have more than one upcoming stay booked at the YC, but have not received any notices about the new dog policy. Bookings were made online, directly with Disney.

Other email has been received, though, reminding me about online check-in, the weather, and "helpful links." Disney has my email info. Why have they not sent all upcoming guests notice about the new dog policy?

I was originally having a parcel delivered to the Hard Rock, but based on the FedEx delivery estimate it won't arrive on time, so it's being redirected to our next hotel on the itinerary - the Beach Club Villas.
Will the Beach Club charge me a fee to accept the parcel?

Staying at YC starting 12/8. We received an email from Disney Destinations regarding the change in policy the day it was announced. It did go in my Spam folder but I check that regularly as many things go there for some reason. For those that believe they have not received a proper notice, I'm really sorry to hear about that. I guess that is why we participate on this thread, to keep up with the in's and out's of the YC/BC. However, look for email from Disney Destinations, not the normal Disney email, for this notification. Since it's been over a week, it may have been automatically deleted by your email carrier by now (like mine is with AOL).

Thanks for sharing your experience. I only can address my own experience.

My email is checked several times a day, including the spam folder. Reservation confirmations from Disney Destinations always are received and never are found in the spam folder.

If I were not active on social media, I probably would not be aware of the policy change. There must be quite a few other guests with upcoming reservations at the YC, who are unaware of this change in dog policy. The only notice found on Disney's online reservation system is found under resort overview, which most people do not look at. There needs to be something noted, before an online reservation is completed.

Hopefully, Disney will be able to accommodate any special needs that uninformed guests may have, due to the change and lack of notice.

Yes, I believe there is a five dollar fee.

Sorry if I missed it, but I didn't see where anyone answered where the Minnie Van picks up/drops off at Magic Kingdom....
