Restaurants Discontinuing Items...

I went to order my husband's beloved chicken salad sandwich yesterday at Chick-fil-A only to find it is being discontinued at the end of September.

Oh, no! I didn't know they were discontinuing the chicken salad sandwich-my favorite thing at Chick-fil-A also.

McDonald's Bagel breakfast sandwiches. Does any region still have these?

It is very true for McDonalds to have regional menus. I know there are/were things in SoCal McD's that weren't available in NorCal and vice versa.

DH still mourns the loss of Outback Steakhouse's Cinnamon Oblivion. For a while, he was happy with Sydney's Sinful Sundae, but that's gone now as well.

I loved the chicken snack wraps at Mcdonald's and they discontinued those. I am still bitter about that.

It was the best healthy alternative choice!!

Have you tried ordering it. It's no longer on the menu at any of the McDonald's around here, but I've been able to get it at McDonald's all over South Florida. That & the parfait are the only things I eat there. Hopefully, they won't get rid of it completely here.

I mentioned this on another thread, but Olive Garden used to have a dish that I think was called Chicken Romero or something like that. It had spinach and whole cloves of garlic and was so good.

Chik fil-A's chicken salad sandwich. I went to order it a few months ago and they told me it was no longer being sold. I haven't been back since.:snooty:

I loved that too! And the Chicken Con Broccoli. I miss them both.

A few years back Panera had a chocolate/peppermint cookie in the fall. They haven't brought it back in a couple of years. Oh my gosh, that, and a cup of coffee, sooo good!

DH just had a bacon and egg bagel breakfast sandwich a few days ago, on vacation in the upper peninsula (Sault Ste. Marie! Michigan). It is his favorite breakfast item there.

Panera discontinued their Barbecue Chicken Salad.

YES! That is what I was coming here to post! They brought it back for a short period and now it's gone again. I've tried a number of their other salads, but there are none that I've loved.

We do still have the McDonald's snack wraps here!

On the Border discontinued tamales and flan.

Really? How can they even consider themselves a "Mexican" restaurant?

South Jersey still has them. My daughter gets an egg and cheese bagel sandwich if we stop there for breakfast (well, technically it's an egg, cheese, and bacon bagel, but she's vegetarian).

My grandson likes the Happy Meals at McDonalds, and his favorite part about it is the kids box it comes in. Recently, I've noticed that they sometimes serve it in a small brown paper bag, like they would with all other orders. I asked about it, and was told that they only serve it in the little boxes when they (McDonald's) are doing a promotion for the Happy Meals. It's kind of annoying to me, because when my kids were young, anytime we went to McDonald's and they ordered the Happy Meal, it always came in a box, not just when they were doing a promotion.

I guess I should just be glad that my grandson likes the boxes so much, because their food isn't that healthy anyway. Usually if we stop by McD, we take it home to eat, and I end up making him something more healthy, and he keeps the box to play with. Now, I keep an extra box in my car for when we stop by there, and I transfer the food from the brown bag into the box, and he doesn't care, he just likes the box.

Arby's used to have a mushroom swiss that was my favorite sandwich ever. I am still not over losing it!

Well the 3 ones closest to me (as well as the two enroute to visiting my sister) stopped having it over a year ago.:sad1:
Our closest McDonalds stopped carrying the hot mustard sauce I love with nuggets. If I ever want the nuggets (like 3x a year), I go to the next McDonalds 4 miles away because they still have my sauce. I think the franchise owner gets to decide which sauces to stock.
