Praying that Irma does not affect Disney World. Or the East Coast.
I pointed that same fact out earlier and was told I was "scaring" people.
I've learned not to stress too much over the ADR's because I've come across the ones I want just a day or 2 before that date. Now, as far as FP's are concerned, I've read people are able to snag those the day of sometimes. Just luck of the draw, I guess. You'd have to keep checking MDE app and wish for Pixie Dust.Ugh considering moving trip the the 24th. Big downside is we won't be able to get any of the adr we had for this week. Adr that week are extremely slim pickings with almost no character meals. And we had one for each day this week including akersus banquet hall which my daughter was extremely looking forward too. And in sure fastpasses will be difficult to get. I know to move the trip is prolly the best decision but still sux when u had everything scheduled several months ago and put alot of time into it. Irma u suck.
It's not just you. Anyone here who points out your vacation destination could possibly become a disaster zone is being demonized.
The ECMWF is the euro forecast model, and the GFS is the US forecast model. They arent some Joe blow spaghetti models. NOAA uses both to help predict their outcomeMy rant. Stop listening to people who post Joe Blow weather guy sites or spaghetti and meatballs forecast. Follow the National Hurricane Center at NOAA only. This is the true indicator for storms.
End of rant
Sam's Club at Tampa was a mad house. I went there for everything BUT water but I don't understand why there isn't a limit of the amount of water people are allowed. When you have one person buying 100 cases of water, what do you think they'll likely be doing with it?
Category 3 is still very dangerous and not to be taken lightly.Local here again...I am liking our situation as the days go by. It looks like any impact to Central Fl will be as a category 3, still strong storm but not "catastrophic" damage.
Yeah, that doesn't give much leeway at all.Really? Wow. only through Sunday? And rebook through Tuesday? Am I the only one that thinks that's too short? Right now at least.
Hmmm. Good point. I didn't even think about those possibilities.Supporting power crews, National Guardsmen, storm shelters, hospital ...many different agencies that could need that much water during/after a storm.
Smart
I worked for Yankee Candle up in Wisconsin for 11 years before moving here so my 300 jars and 700 tealights came with me (don't need anyone lecturing me on the dangers of candle usage during emergencies please) I was looking at my Tea Kettle Warmer as a way to warm a pot of soup. But now that I have my grill I think that will be more effective

Yes. They will not refund the airfare for AA. Lesson learned, do not book airfare through Disney. AA travel agent told me she would have been liberal with the voucher policy but since I booked through Disney she could not issue a voucher. Disney was great about refunding hotel and park tickets, but I'm out airfare. Better safe than sorry.
So, I'm sitting on hold, trying to cancel my first Disney World vacation. With time to kill, I'm playing around online. I currently have a room only reservation which forfeits a deposit if I cancel at this, but I can change the reservation online to a tent site a few weeks out which costs less than my deposit. I would then also be outside the five day window to cancel without penalty. Is this plan too good to be true? I'd really rather not sit on hold all morning with hopes I can have fees waived.
