Wait Times 400mins!!!

For me it is all about the Queue experience (Does that sound lame?)! Is it engaging, air conditioned, and visually stimulating? - then I can wait for much longer! I still think my threshold is about an hour and a half for any ride though. I start to go mentally insane at that point.

I think it depends for sure on the queue (a lot more tolerant of air conditioning, I will not wait more than 30 minutes for big thunder despite it being one of my favorites). However it is also about expectations. Usually I don't wait more than an hour, however if I am there at Christmas time I am willing to wait much longer because I know its going to be crowded. If you go to Disney at Christmas expecting not to wait in long lines, you are not going to have fun.

Not sure where you're seeing waits like that. I'm currently seeing 220 for FoP and 70 for Navi River.

Could it be an error?

That being said, 90 mins is probably top for me to wait for a ride.
It has gotten as high as 450 minutes as per several reports from park guests. The highest I've seen it so for was 320 minutes. Checked last night at about 11p because my wife and I are considering going for the "extra magic hours" next week and it was still a 2.5 hour wait. Guess we will be waiting until next year...

With wait times showing as much as 400 minutes for Flight of Passgae on the MDE app. I was curious as to what peoples limit was on wait times and what rides they would be prepared to wait a significant amount of time for?

The only line I'm waiting in for 400 minutes is one where they're handing out money at the end of it. And even then it better be more than pocket change. I'm not waiting 6 hours and 40 minutes for anything at WDW.

I think the answer is really dependent on how often you travel to WDW. We go once or twice a year, so we can skip an attraction with a long wait, knowing we will be back in the near future. If someone is coming once every 5-10 years, then they will have a longer wait tolerance for the big attractions. We normally wait a max of about 30 minutes, and that is a long wait.

HOWEVER, on our trip at the end of May, we waited 70 minutes for the Safari. YEP - we were in a posted 20 minute line, which ended up being 70. After we had waited 25 minutes, we hated to walk away. Kinda like watching a bad movie after you invested an hour of your time. Fortunately, this was an excellent safari. We had done it earlier in the trip and it was a weak safari - so we needed 1 more try.

We just got back last night and lines everywhere were the longest I've ever seen. Around midnight, FoP had 245 min and NRJ was around an hour. At one point during the week, small world had a 70 minute wait!!! It was rare to find anything less than 30 minutes posted.

ours is about 30 min but honestly we have found that it usually not even that long. We waited in line for Thunder Mountain Railroad lat year it said about 30 min wait we waited about 20. Which is not bad.

Wife and I went to EMH on 6/14/17. We waited 25 minutes for NRJ @ 1140p, and 55 minutes for FoP @ 1215a. Both rides were fantastic with FoP being the best simulator style ride on the property for my money. The entire land is absolutely stunning from a visual and immersive standpoint!!

I don't like to wait more than 15-20 minutes for a ride. If its something that I just have to do I will suffer for 30 minutes. Anything longer than that I will just skip, I just don't feel anything is worth a wait longer than that. Do people actually wait 400 minutes? That is crazy to me!

45-60 minutes is the max I am willing to wait for a new ride. 25-30 minutes for a ride I've done a bunch of times except maybe Splash, I love that one! If I can't fast pass it I will try to rope drop it. I also use the app a lot to keep up on wait times!

20 minutes is my max for most rides. If something like Frozen has a half hour wait I might do it only because it's still newer and I've only done it a couple of times. For the Pandora rides probably a half hour for the boat ride and 40 minutes for FoP. But it also depends on the time of year you go. If I was going next week I would expect to wait at least an hour for FoP. But I'm going early September right after Labor Day so I don't expect wait times to be as bad.

For those with a hard limit, assume for a moment that the posted time was your 'max' limit when you got in line, but when your max limit is reached, you still have some time in line remaining (let's say you estimate 15 more minutes before you get on). Does not mater the reason why the time was off Do you get out of line at that point, essentially wasting all of your 'max' time up to that point, or do you see the delay through even though the ultimate wait will be outside your stated boundary.

If I can see the light at the end of the tunnel I see the delay through. It really depends on the delay though. If it's a break down and there isn't an end in sight I'd probably leave but just for slow boarding or something of that nature we wait. The only time we ever left a line was for Hulk and that was a break down.

DH, DD and I waited in line for the Radiator Springs Racers for nearly three hours awhile back. I had never seen so many people shamelessly holding spots and cutting the line before.

Regarding people one once in a lifetime trip or rare trip waiting longer...

I agree to an extent, but not completely. If I was on a once in a lifetime trip, not sure if I could come back, I wouldn't waste 5 hrs in a line for a new ride. Heck, if it once in a lifetime, all the rides are new ;)

I was at universal a few months after diagon alley opened. I loved it, but not sure we will ever make it back.. But there no chance I was waiting 3 hrs for gringotts. I had never been there and I was happy to explore the rest of the park.

I waited 180 minutes for Kong at island of adventures. Biggest waste of time ever.

45 is usually my limit

I once waited 3 hours for an new roller coaster at Cedar Point, but it was a one day only opportunity and really the main reason why I went in the first place. Beyond that, if we're talking about a park I've been to before or now I'll be back to (like WDW), then I generally look for 40 minutes or less but will do an hour if my DS is super keen for it (we waited an hour for 7DMT because he loves it so much).

Usually I have a 60 minute limit, but that's only if it is something new or an old favorite I really want to ride. If it is some minor ride or one I've been on many times my limit is more like 30 minutes or less.
That said, I got into line for Avatar Flight of Passage with a posted 120 minute wait this past Saturday around 8:45 PM with the hope that it would be shorter than the posted time. It ended up being only about 70 minutes before we were in a preshow room. When we got off the ride and through the gift shop it was about 10:35 pm and we saw that the standby line was still open and still posted at 120 minutes.... so we got right back in line for a another ride.
