And where are you from?
I voted like Ah-nt.

I am kind of from a few different places as my df was in the military.
We settled here in the SE part of Va because my mom's family was from here.
If I said ant, I would be corrected to use "proper" English.

Ant. Even though I live in CT now I was raised in California and Oregon.

I pronounce it ant, my son pronounces it ah-nt, and I think my daughter pronounces it ant. I raised them both the same, but for some reason he pronounces the word differently.

Ant- Canadian

Having Britsh family(inlaws) and friends I know I have heard it as Ah-nt.

I voted other, because I call my aunts "Ant ____" and DH's aunts "Au-nt ____". Mine are from western New York, and his are from Massachusetts. I just go with what sounds right to them.

Mostly its aint for us. I grew up in Texas but my Mom is from NC so most of the time it came out as aint in her beautiful southern drawl :)

It's actually proper english to pronounce it either way. Ah-nt is close to the British pronunciation but either way is correct.

I'm from NJ and always thought people who said ah-nt were trying to sound fancy. Sort of like people holding their pinky out when drinking tea (that isn't really done).
