Can you use Disney Visa to pay dues that are late?

Or do they require cashier's check, money order or some such in those situations? Of course, I want to pay and Member Accounting is closed over the fricking weekend.

Thx. I just tried, and it said I needed to speak with Member Accounting. Won't let me pay online.

There is a problem with the three digit security code on the back of the CC. If it starts with a "0" then the website won't take it. I had this problem when I tried with my CC with a "0" security code. Took my gift cards no problem.
I'm pretty sure you still have plenty of time to pay though.

Thanks. I am late-late. Was out of work for several months last year and only now am catching up. I can pay cash, but I really would prefer to use the Visa to get the Disney Dollars.

The site won't even let me enter a card number when I try to pay. Rex just keeps popping up and tells me to call Accounting. I'd rather not wait until Monday. I just don't know if there's a point where they will insist on cashier's check/money order.

Use your Disney Visa to buy Gift cards, BJs has $100 gift cards for $94.99 online and $95.99 in store and use them to pay online. The gift cards seem to have no problem.

Are you using Chrome for a web browser? It works the best.

They probably need to add penalties and interest to your balance due so just wait and contact them on Monday.

Thanks. Yes, I am fine with all that. Fair is fair, and I have no problem paying fees and interest.

I was just looking forward to having it all squared away today, setting up installments for 2017, and then enjoying the weekend with that monkey off my back and a decent chunk of Disney Dollars headed my way.

Now I will spend the weekend wondering if they're going to make me run to the bank for some sort of certified payment. It bugs me because I am traveling for work on Monday and probably won't be able to get to my bank until Friday. I just want the matter resolved and put behind me on Monday.

If you couldn't tell, I hate waiting. ;)

BFF forgot to pay her dues when....found our when she went to book and she was able to pay online, including penalties.
Sorry you can't get it done when you want to, I know that always frustrates me

Thanks. It's just my OCD talking. ;)

Lately, it seems like urgent things always pop up after close of business on a Friday, where either I have to pay through the nose to have the issue addressed on a Saturday, or cool my heels until Monday morning before I can start tackling the problem.

I called MS this past Wednesday. We always get our bill for annual dues right before Christmas and this is the first year that we did not. MS said it was mailed out December 19th, I emphasized that I have not received it. She told me annual dues are due in February....so you're not past due yet.

I think the OP is working on paying their dues from an earlier cycle, not the 2017 dues.

Our bill arrived later than usual this year. It was available on the website long before the paper copy arrived in the mail. They probably mail them out in stages and maybe we were in the last group this year. I'm on autopay so I didn't really need the paper copy anyway since I can just print it off the website.

I might, yes. It was a rough 2016.

I hope you have a better 2017 and you can get things worked out tomorrow once Member Services is back in the office. Just think, you're almost there! :)

This is my first year paying dues as a DVC member. I didn't even realized that they mailed out bills. I found mine online just before the holidays and paid it on 12/31 using Gift Cards. It was nice to be able to knock a few dollars off of the bill using the Gift Cards. :)

Ours also came well after the online. But at least we got them this year. Two years ago we never did receive the paper copy.

Thank you for the kind words. Usually, our weekends fly by. This one, however, slowed to a crawl every time I thought about the dues. :)

Is your account still active on the member website? Will it let you make a reservation?

It is. I can log in, see my contracts, view my points, check availability and all that stuff. Can't make a res or pay dues, though. Trying to do either bumps me to a screen with Rex telling me to call Accounting.

For those keeping score, the answer posed in my thread title is "yes". :)

Oddly, they told me that I could not use Disney gift cards. Not sure if that was because I was past due on 2016, but I was under the impression that, generally, you could use Disney gift cards to pay your dues?
