Anyone have a guess on when they will start taking reservations at Planet Hollywood? The site says it is re-opening early 2017. I would like to make an ADR for July.

They will not open ADRs until they have a firm open date. The reopening is behind schedule (pretty seriously).

Also Planet Hollywood is one of the Restaurants (and there are many in DS) that accept reservations through "Open Table" as well as a phone call to the actual restaurant.
So if you are unable to score an ADR through your MDE, you can (and should) call directly to see if you can be accommodated. We have scored an ADR there (several years ago) by just showing up. Not all their tables are "Disney" tables, it's unlike a restaurant in the parks.

You can book it on OpenTable now.
Also if you call Disney Dining they can book it for dates starting in February.
Can't be done online yet you must call Disney Dining.

The key is that if PH opens late and has to cancel OpenTable reservations, Disney is not involved and doesn't care. They aren't going to open ADRs on the site until they really believe PH will open on schedule.

I would only use Open Table or self ADR if I could NOT get an ADR through Disney...
The other good thing is if you do book it yourself, there's no penalty for a same day cancellation...
