Who are the nicest /rudest celebs you have met?

Rudest or maybe I should say grossest- Joe Pesci. We were in a New Orleans restaurant at his nearby table. He was touching his date's private parts-ugh.
Back in 1970, I was 12 and my family went to Vail. I skiied into Michael Landon. He was nice about it. Saw Richard Dreyfuss and Magic Johnson at WDW. Both were sweet.

You worked for Arlo?! Lucky you! I've seen him in concert three times. :)

Thats so awesome! I rarely get to see the shows as an audience member when working so Im jealous! We were smoking a cig on the loading dock and the moon was VERY big, I went to take a picture and he said "Don't bother!" When I asked him why he then explained to me that when the moon looks close to us its just an optical illusion of our eyes and won't come out in most film. Arlo taught me about the moon:flower1:

Rudest: Kelly Ripa- I met her in May 2005 when she and Regis were hosting a week at Disney World. We got front row seats and as soon as the cameras cut, she was hateful. We saw her in the parks through out the week and she did not want anything to do with any fans. It was very disappointing for me because I had always been a fan of her on the show, so I was very let down when she was the opposite of what I imagined her to be.
Not surprised at all. She and my cousin were classmates at Eastern High School here in South Jersey, so I encountered her many times at parties, school events, etc. I NEVER liked her because she was snotty and nasty, and so when I first saw her on AMC and then on Live I was a bit salty because I never forgot how mean she was. Seeing her on TV doesn't bug me as much anymore, but every once in a while the Kelly I remember does come out on the show.

I met Shirley Jones in line for BTMR in DW many years ago. She was waiting in the regular line without security and talking to those around her. We passed her several times in line and she was always smiling and very friendly.

The worst celebrity I met was Lesley Gore ("It's My Party and I'll Cry if I Want To" singer). She was at a mall signing when I was about 10 years old. I was the last person in line and her security people were behind me to prevent anyone else entering the line. The signing went until 2. She signed a picture for the person in front of me and said time was up. I started crying in front of her and was literally the last person in line, but she got up and walked away. They tried to give me her picture card, I wasn't interested anymore!

I met Geraldo Rivera at a wedding. He was ok, not super friendly but not rude either.

My best friend goes to the same gym as Bruce Springsteen, he's really nice, even recorded a birthday message for her musician father. My husband met Max Weinberg (Bruce's drummer) he was very nice.

I saw Andrew Dice Clay in the mall but you couldn't get near him with all the security (this was in the 90's when he was popular).

I met Jay Leno when I was a teenager and he was super nice.

I also met Kailyn from Teen Mom 2 and was surprised how friendly she was. We were on a trip to the Bahamas together for Scentsy consultants. We talked for awhile and she was incredibly down to earth.

Nick Swardson was pretty cool too.

I totally forgot about this one: For any of you parents who have children who are fans of "Dance Moms"...last time I was in WDW we were on POTC and a girl in the boat in front of us stood up, mid ride, & went into a complete vertical leg extension inside the boat!! When we finally got off the ride I bumped into Kira, who is Kalani's mom from the reality show "Dance Moms" in the Gift shop. I turned around and realized the girl doing the dance move on the boat was Kalani as she was now standing right behind me. My mom was SO excited:rotfl:

Nicest by far was Matthew Lillard (Shaggy from Scooby Doo). That guy is beyond amazing. I was walking past him at a con and he just grabbed me and gave me the biggest hug. Then he thanked me and started a conversation with my daughter and gave her the most incredible pep talk about how she could accomplish anything, never give up, etc. Saw him again the next day and he hugged me again.

Tie for second would be John Denver and Norman Reedus. Had great experiences with both.

Interesting- I ran into Kelly (actually, I did almost run into her) and her husband while walking in a restaurant in NYC. She initiated a conversation with me and couldn't have been nicer.

Well, once security was mentioned, what was experiences have you guys run into?

I was in the same room with a cabinet secretary once. Not one of the big departments like State or Defense, but he was attending a public event and he had a security detail in the room. There was no mistaking his security, as they had earpieces with the curly cords. One was actually smiling a lot, but the other looked totally serious. I used to think that cabinet secretaries were protected by the Secret Service, but I eventually found out the protection is typically from the department's internal law enforcement (like DSS for State).

I don't recall anyone being searched or seeing the room swept before the cabinet secretary entered the room. I can't think of POTUS entering a room without that happening first.

I met Rachael Ray's husband through work and he was thoroughly professional and quite pleasant to chat with.

I literally bumped into a pre-Daily Show Jon Stewart at a local convenience store once, years ago. He couldn't have been nicer about it. Sorry about the full-body check, Jon.

Does the Honey Boo-Boo clan count as "celebrities". We shared a hotel with them for several days a couple years back - we didn't know who they were, but people were getting autographs & selfies from the mom the entire time. We didn't bother, but she seemed a good sport about it. DD bailed out of poolside games with the kid. Said she was bossy and "I'm not going to do what she says" LOL. The dad (Sugar Bear??) spilled his snuff all over my towel & made no effort to clean it up. I considered drowning him.

Robert Irvine - Food network...He is so nice, we met him on the bus at Disney heading to DTD he was there for food and wine talked to him the whole time, very charming and very good looking, he posed for picture with us, and the next day we went to his seminar he remember us and call us over and we hung out for a while with him, the chefs from the dinner impossible shows everyone was super nice.

Bobby Dean - Food Network - Really nice southern gentleman.

Omar Benson - (CSI Miami and Ballers) We met him in Vegas we were walking through one of the casinos and he was walking in front of us, I said to my DH I think that's the guy from CSI Miami, he turned around and said yes I am, and was shocked, he stopped and chatted for a few minute's and took pictures with us. Very nice and polite man.

That surprises me about Robert Irvine. He seems like such a conceited jerk to me.

Um...I have met no one!

Ok just Abby Wamback who was really nice and smiled during the autograph session and told me I was a super cool mama taking a burst on my phone but at the same time couldn't say much to my daughter...I get it, it was an autograph session and limited time. Then we just met Carli Lloyd right before Christmas but that was also just autographs but she spoke before and seemed down to earth

I am just never in the right place at the right time I guess!

That's the women's soccer Carli Lloyd, right?

I worked a celebrity golf tournament back in the late 90's and I drove a lot of the celebs around. Most of them were athletes, but a few actors sprinkled in for fun as well. The nicest was Adam Baldwin. He is NOT a Baldwin brother which was one of the first things he said to me when I picked him up from the airport. He said it in a joking manor and we hit it off. We spoke several times over the tournament and he even took me to dinner - I drove him the restaurant and he invited me to join him when I had planned on just dropping him off. It was a great meal and he was a lot of fun.

I never drove him, but I heard Craig T. Nelson was a jerk who insisted on smoking every time he was in someone's car. Rude. Another rude guy was Alex Hyde White - way too much of an attitude for a guy probably best known as Ralph Bellamy's grandson in Pretty Woman.

Shockingly, one of the nicer guys to me was Jim McMahon, the Chicago Bears QB. I had to pick him up from the airport and I was a bit nervous since I had heard he was a jerk. He was actually very pleasant. He introduced himself and made small talk as we waited for his luggage. We were having a nice conversation when he started being recognized. I could see the physical change in him. He got very uncomfortable with the attention and was standoffish to everyone who approached him. Once we got to the car and were driving, he relaxed again and we had a great drive. He saw me a few times over the tournament and always made a point to wave or come over and chat with me for a few minutes.

I had a meet and greet with Britney Spears about 5 years ago....she was even more beautiful in person. Very shy and quiet but we took a picture together and she let me put my arm around her.

I've met a lot of celebrities at stage doors on Broadway, and some of my favorites were Jesse Tyler Fergusson, Brandy (so incredibly nice to her fans!), Harvey Fierstein, and Lance Bass.

Rudest would have to be Kelsey Grammar.

I'm glad to hear this because I was very disappointed as we ran into her multiple times during the trip since they were filming all week. She seemed like she couldn't be bothered with anyone and she was rushing around dictating the poor guide.

Edit: This was in response to Smitty. I tried to reply and quote, but it didn't work for some reason.
