Hi! We've eaten there twice already since it opened. I can't compare to what it was since this is our first stay at GF. They have fresh sandwiches like roast beef, turkey, and a fresh mozz with tomato and portobello mushroom. All breads are fresh now, I am told. They have flatbreads and a salad area, as well. They prepare it but you tell them what you want. I will get some pictures on my next pass through there.

Let me know if there are specific questions. It is lovely in there.
Would love some photos!

For anyone currently at the GF, I would love to see a pic of the new allergy friendly menu at Gapsie's. Wondering if they have expanded the offerings since the refurb. TIA :flower3:

I would love to see a picture of the allergy menu or just to know if it's changed at all as well, they were great with allergies last time we were there!

Could someone please tell me more about the Deluxe Queen rooms in the Main Building? I can't seem to find square footage of the rooms or the price. We're going in June. I read the info on the first page already. We've stayed twice in a Standard room in RPC in the past. Just wondering if there's that much of a difference.

Hello there fellow GF fans...Hope that everyone is enjoying their holidays!

Marlaine In answer to your question about the CL queen deluxe rooms in RPC ...I don't have the specifics..such as square footage...in my opinion..having stayed in a queen deluxe from time to time..that the room is a bit more spacious...enough to make it more comfy..but not a whole lot more larger.....:tilt:....the entranceways are wider ...and the room configuration is just a little different..and they all have an extra sink/wet bar area...with a nice roomy cabinet underneath...the pics on the first page are very accurate as to the two different room shapes....I will poke around thru my pics to see if I have any to share...We definitely enjoy a queen deluxe..but truly..are just as happy in a standard CL room...there is one other nice difference ... the balconies are also somewhat larger...and longer...The queen deluxes that are located overlooking the courtyard area are right above the courtyard side entrace to the main building..and have a very nice view of the high MK fireworks...
Hth some...:goodvibes

I likely won't get back here before the New Year..so I'd like to wish you all a happy, healthy New Year...and lots of Disney magic in the year ahead! Preppy GF gal who is wishing as always for peace on earth... :earsgirl:

Thank you BlueSkies! I appreciate the info. Great to know about the balcony. I just love to sit outside with my coffee while I wait for everyone to get ready for the day! Happy New Year!

Hi Everyone! It's been awhile since I've posted. We haven't been to the gf since October 2015! We had our second baby in 2016, so no trip. However, we are ready to take our baby girl to wdw- she loves Mickey. If she sees his likeness anywhere, she starts squealing. It's adorable.

Anyway, we are looking at going in August. We've stayed at the GF the last two trips and we just love it. But I'm wondering if we should try the Poly. Where would you stay in August? It'll be myself, my husband, DD 6 and DD 18 months. We stayed at the Poly for DD 6's first trip in 2013. We loved it, but absolutely fell in love with the GF when we stayed Christmas 2014. Im worried if we stay at the Poly, I'll be pining for the GF. I'm considering the Poly because we'll probably be poolside a lot and I've been wanting to try their new pools. The walk to the TTC is also a bonus. We were also less than impressed with the menu at Gaspy's in 2015. My husband is a super healthy eater, and we felt the menu was really slimmed down from our 2014 stay. Any input??? Is it better post refurb?

Thank You!

Hi!
So, we were there the week it reopened. From what I understand from the CMs at Gasparilla's the selections are fresher and healthier (but still have things like flatbreads and such). I didn't get the lunch or dinner offerings on picture, but I did get the breakfast items. I'm going to be posting all of my GF-related images shortly so look out for those posts. Quickly, though, they did have fresh meat sandwiches, along with, mozz, tomato, and portabello sandwiches - all on freshly made panini bread. There was a salad station with a lot of nice, fresh offerings. I had both the mozz/tom and salad at one point. I also had the roasted tomato flatbread which was very good, too.

We have stayed at many of the Deluxe and DVC resorts over the years, but we were definitely impressed with all of the selections at the GF. One (probably silly) thing I liked about Gasparilla's is that it was a nice order area with plenty of comfortable seating. Some resorts - even deluxe - have more grab and go areas. I like being able to sit down in the QS location and eat. Everyone at Gasparilla's was so nice to us. They were excited to be reopened and there were many chefs and managers on hand throughout the day to help assist and acclimate the staff to the changes and new selections. I was definitely impressed.

Thank you so much for the feedback. We really liked GG in 2014, but went back a year later and discovered they'd made a lot of cutbacks. I'm optimistic it's better. Unfortunately my husband doesn't eat a lot of bread, so dining is hard at these places. The salad station sounds promising.
