I don't think we know enough yet.

Agreed.

But I will say, if as a local, I plan on visiting two days in a row, I shouldn't have to pay extra for not staying on site. I think they should work it like they do a DAS and set it to have an expiration like 14 days or whatever.

It's still a misquote.

Although I do see your point. I just don't have the faith you do that they will dedicate the resources necessary to keep this a positive offering. If Disney was a company that wanted to adjust to keep up with demand, there would be no need for this "shadow" bus system. The regular system would fill the need.
I see the perk of this is to be able to leave a park and go to another by bypassing the main bus loop, main entrance and security.
If they added more buses to the regular bus loop you would still need to exit the park and re enter via the main entrance.

Anyone have the link to where I can book this? Just want to see how it works with my UK 14 day Ultimate ticket. Thanks.

Good point except there's already good options to go park to park. I think this really moves people around the additional security checks and that's the point of it.

As the information is coming out, it seems it's something you have to purchase at in park kiosks.

Well, they need to be careful with this. It almost seems like they are profiting off of the need for additional security in the parks.

I've never seen buses that go from one Park to another before.
They definitely have park to park buses already. They don't drop you off inside the secure area like this new service will, but there are definitely bus stops for each park at every other park. The only park to park lacking bus service is between MK and Epcot, since those two have the monorail.

Epcot's Eastgate bus loop is right behind the east side of the main entrance. There's a bus stop there for backstage buses that shuttle CMs from the Cast Services building (which is back by the Red Lot CM parking and Test Track) to the front of the park.

Got ya. DD worked at Epcot, parked in the CM parking and never rode a bus. She walked in a gate by TT right into park.

For AP they can easily tie it to be the length of an on site stay in some manner
Off site or those local would have to do single day but there would be a way to do multi day for on site AP holders. Just because it wasn't mentioned in the Q&A doesn't mean, to me, it's not an option. I don't think we know enough yet.

I agree with you on this one. It can be done the same way that AP holders that are local or do not stay on site can only book FP+ 30 days out, but AP holders with an on-site reservation can book 60 days out. I feel like AP holders staying on site should be able to use this service at the multi-day rate just like any other on-site guest with hopper entitlements. I have never had an AP before, but we are going to be getting them before the end of the current 13-month promotion, and since we hop at least once a day every day we go, at the $24 for a multi-day visit, this might be something worth trying. At $15 a day, think we will just stick to the existing ways of moving from park to park.

now I don't get this at all,you lost me on this onee

If one of the main benefits of this is the ability to bypass security at the second park, then part of the value of this service is built off the need for the security to exist in the first place.

Well, Disney added more security, so it takes a long time to stand in line to get into the park.

Hopping parks, as it stands now, involves standing in a security line at, say, AK in the morning; then leaving to go to, say, HS; then standing in another security line there.

People don't like this. They can/will use the new express bus option to skip the security line at their second park of the day.

Now, the purpose of the new transportation option is not to avoid the security line. However, people are regarding this as a perk of the new option. If people pay for the service to avoid additional security screenings, then Disney is profiting off the need for additional security.

I seem to be in the minority here, but this irks me. You should not have to pay extra for efficient transportation between the parks. When you buy a park hopper (or an AP I guess), you are paying a premium to go from park to park. The travel can be time consuming and Disney could do some things to fix the problem (like having more frequent buses for example). Instead they are charging people for a work around for something that surely they could improve if they chose to.

but they are not stopping the screenings though. still the same number of security cm as before

the time consuming part is not waiting for a bus at the regular bus loop, it's walking to the bus loop and then walking from the other parks bus loop, waiting for security and then waiting to get in.
Buses run approx every 20 minutes, that's not a problem. Yes there are some instances where people have waited more than that but these instances are rare.
And just an FYI, I probably will never use this, but if people are inside MK and want to go to another park, I think this will save them at least 30 minutes on walking/transporting/screening/entering the other park

I'm talking about screenings at a park you hop to.

I have no issue with people skipping screening at the second or third park of the day. But it is a definite advantage of this upsell that you (I suspect) would be going from one security area to another, and not need to be screened the subsequent park(s).
