SDFP: CHANGES COMING!! Beware the 7th of June?!

Not open for further replies.
I have numerous RFid cards from 2013 that have non-expiration tickets on them (both water park and park hopper tickets). I plan on saving these tickets for down the road but could I use these card with active tickets (NON-EXPIRING) to make SDFP? They are not linked to my MDE. I hope to do this in conjunction with MB and NEW tickets that will be linked together. So to be clear as mud, old tickets (non expiring that still have valid PH tickets and water park days) to use only to obtain SDPF?

Just don't link them to profiles that will have new tickets. They'll work.

Ok Ive read and read, and this is a wonderful thread! Just want to be sure, sorry: if I deactivate one of my MB, I CAN still then use it for SDFP? I know it wont work for entry, room door, etc...but even tho deactivated, on my MDE--- it is usable for SDFP?

No, that won't work. Deactivated MBs will still be clones of other bands linked to the same profile.

After I've read the whole FAQ, I have a question. I have a Magicband from my May trip that is Inactive and plan to get a Ticket card for admission. If I link my Ticket card to my account, Would I get the additional FP from my magicband? It is on my account, but Inactive.Staying off site due to it being at Star Wars Celebration.

Just got back last night from a very busy Thanksgiving week. Was able to use ALL the great tips here and it really, really helped. Thank you for taking the time to help educate and keep us up to date!

Okay, talk to me like I'm an idiot. :)

I'm going in January with just my son. 2 people in a room. There are 3 people in my family and husband is linked to me in MDE, but won't be on trip.

I called and added my husband (he has an existing MDE) and niece (she doesn't). Neither of them will actually be there. They both now show up for me to customize their MBs.

So, I'm good, right? They don't have tickets, but I can just carry these extra bands in and use them for an extra set of FPs? I know we aren't suppose to ask questions but I'm a person who needs re-assurance. ;)

Here now and just tried to do sdfp with bands from family that did not come along. The kiosks pulled up my personal fastpasses, I tapped the screen to unselect my name but my name is the only one that comes up. It did not give me the option to select any other members of my list, including the ones who are here with me. Any help is appreciated!

to change the SDFP I've made at a kiosk?
No, but that's a good question. Once you book SDFP at a kiosk, you may be able to view your SDFP on your MDE. But you can only change SDFP by returning to a kiosk.

I used SDFP last year with no problems. It was awesome! I was able to change my SDFP on the MDE website (but not the app). Has that changed?

Thanks!

Deactivated bands are still linked to your profile.

There is a way to page down to see the other name(s). If you don't see how to do it, ask a cast member. Just tell them that you are booking FP at the kiosk for family members - which guests do constantly. It's not as though you're the only person at a kiosk with a bunch of bands. CMs have no idea that the bands are linked to guests who aren't in the park. And they don't care. They'll help you!

You have it right. Just pay attention to the issue that rebekahw is having, because you'll see this at the kiosks, too. When you tap your husband or niece's band, the kiosk screen will display the FP you have prebooked for yourself and your son. Just deselect yourself and son and page down to see your husband and niece's names which you'll leave selected for SDFP booking. if you don't see a way to page down, ask a CM. Also see the beginning of this thread - I think Marcie has photos of the kiosk screens.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!! We were at WDW from 11/16 - 11/22 and SDFP were awesome!! We would rope drop and go straight to the first ride we wanted to ride and then we'd go to the kiosks to get our SDFP. At MK we tried to get our SDFP in the same "land" as our regular FP+'s. So, if we had Space Mountain from 9-10 then we would try to get Buzz Lightyear or Tomorrowland Speedway for 9:30 - 10:30. During Thanksgiving week most of the FP+ for the big rides were gone first thing in the morning. But we did luck out and got Space Mountain on Tuesday morning and Toy Story Midway Mania on early Saturday afternoon!

Does the rfid chips cause any problems with our friends at TSA?

I will have "several" bands I will be carrying on.

Just finished up our week using SDFP and it worked great! Eas able to get things like pirates, buzz, Lil mermaid etc.

I had 4 bands from extended family members from previous trips. I made sure to unfriend them from MDE before the trip to make things easier. I also had a band from my infant. One time I scanned the infants band first and it showed me all my fastpasses for the day. I cancelled out and started with a different band so I wouldn't have that minor problem.

I also carried the band's on a big mommy hook carbine clipped to my cross body purse. I would take them off before the ride and pass out to my kids and DH. They would hold and scan them then after entering the queue they handed them back to me. Worked fine for us.

Also the ones on the infants band would show up in my MDE which was nice in case I forgot to take a photo of the kiosk for times. I never tried to modify though.

I just wanted to write a very quick report on my first day using SDFP in the parks. We flew in early this morning and were at the MK by 11:30am. Between 11:30am and 5:30pm we used 10 FPs and had a sit down meal. It was awesome

Booked in advance:
1:55-2:55 7DMT
2:55-3:55 Peter Pan
3:55-4:55 Space Mountain

the park was crowded-ish and waits were long-ish (ie it wasn't totally ridiculous but more crowded than I'd like). There were many things done for the day including what you'd expect but also things like Jungle Cruise (which in my experience generally has some availability day of).

we had a second set of phantoms that were linked to my account and I booked the following with those:
1:30-2:30 magic carpets
2:30-3:30 winnie the pooh
4:05-5:05 small world

we also had a set of used up ticket cards that I used to book the following:
12:10-1:10 buzz
2:30-3:30 pirates
4:05-5:05 tomorrowland speedway

the only thing that was really too tight was getting from 2:30 pirates to 7DMT ending 25 minutes later. We got out of pirates at 2:47 and hauled butt to 7DMT and got there exactly at 2:55... but hey I like to live dangerously (and was hoping for the grace period really).

we did
buzz
peoplemover
skipper canteen for a 12:45 lunch
magic carpets
pirates
7dmt
pooh
peter pan
15 minute sit/frozen strawberry lemonade break
small world
space mountain
tomorrowland speedway
buzz

from about noon til a bit after 5pm

it was a great day and we avoided long waits everywhere. then while on tomorrowland speedway after space mountain I decided to see if anything was left on the app for my primary account and i got the 5:10pm buzz.

It was awesome and it filled the time beautifully. I can't believe how much we got done today!

I will tell you that if your mind works like mine... in that you don't know your own name half the time, but can retain info like fp+ for 3 accounts at once without much effort, it will work well for you. This is the first time doing it and I was able to formulate a plan pretty quickly on the fly while figuring out the kiosks. I think it will only get a bit easier next time I do it.

thanks to everyone who made it possible!

Hey it's me! Your long lost friend from the 1stWeek of Dec. thread. I'm so happy to read you guys had a great first day. Seems like SDFP is a homerun. After all these months of planning and posting on here it's kind of surreal to me that you are actually THERE!!! Enjoy your Lisa. I hope you and your son have the
