Club Villain

I thought I asked this, but I guess not. How early should we show up before it begins?
I have been made aware (as I haven't done this party myself) that check in starts an hour before. Then they come out with drinks while you wait in the courtyard about 30 minutes before, and then they allow you inside and the whole party takes 2 hours

Is it during this check in time you are given your assigned character times or is that information at your table?

I hope the negative aspects of recent reviews remain the exception... FINALLY just booked this for Nov...

Re: tables -- for a party of 5, all together at one or split, since it sounds like tables are SO small...?
The tables are set up for 4 (tightly). Not sure you could even fit 5 chairs around one?

The only issue you may have is missing one of your assigned M&G times.
Would you mind explaining how it's possible to miss a M&G time by checking in a little late? Since my husband and I have seen the Star Wars fireworks before, we are planning to scoot out just before it ends in order to make the starting time of the Club Villain party; but I just wanted to know what to expect if we are a few minutes late. I have character anxiety so I personally don't care much one way or the other about actually meeting and having to talk to the characters. I'm sort of a you-do-your-thing-and-I'll-just-watch kinda gal. However, my husband may not feel the same so I do not want to purposefully miss anything if it can be helped.

When you check in, your "ticket" will have scheduled meet and greet times for all 4 characters. They assign times to alleviate having long lines throughout the night, and are scheduled around the musical numbers as well. So it's possible you could arrive after your scheduled time to meet Cruella, for example. However, @beesly mentioned above that you could likely show up after your scheduled time with no problem, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Did this event on 10/1 with my 3 girls, and we had so much fun. We were seated close to Cruella's meet area, and got to talking with her handler between sets. She helped us do some really great shots on Cruella's chair/in her area -- some of my favorite from the trip. Her line was super long all night -- a fact which she crowed about several times! I was glad we had an early time to meet her; I suspect some people with later times didn't get to work their way through the line (though I didn't hear anyone complaining that night). She was just such a great character -- wrapped my youngest up in her coat with her when she heard she was cold; came out on the dance floor for the cha cha slide; you get the picture.

My middle daughter got some amazing selfies with Maleficient, who had no line by the end of the night. Not everyone can say they were taught the art of selfie taking by an evil sorceress!

I found the food excellent (and I hate spicy food). My kids were les enthused, but they loved the kids plates -- mac and cheese, corn, and chicken nuggets. And they each tried every single one of the desserts; and several of whichever one they deemed their favorite.

The only bad part of the night was the insane downpour waiting for us when they kicked us out. :)

Thank you, Cluelyss. This is very helpful.

This may have been asked and answered before (sorry) but are there photopass photographers taking photos at this event?

The food was great, but hard to get to and eat at the tiny tables.

Tables are definitely tiny. Though we've been twice now and never encountered a line for the food or bar, so I'm not quite sure what you mean by "hard to get."

The entertainment was entertaining, but I wish the characters were more involved in the musical numbers. It was also very "adult" -- the dancing girls were quite sexy.

There's no kids price for the event. Kids are allowed, but it's not a kids-focused event. The kids at both parties I've been to had a blast, but the dancers aren't really that much worse than what you see in a music video.

I found the character interaction to be less than stellar. You are given a set time to meet with the Villains and we were rushed through so quickly - there was no chance to interact beyond a couple of pictures.

I'm sorry you felt like there was no interaction. We had a blast with the characters. Lots of conversation and fun. The Queen of Hearts even remembered me. I'd worn a Maleficent outfit in February and the Queen of Hearts told me that if I ever came back to her kingdom, I'd better be wearing hearts.

She saw me in my Queen of Hearts shirt and bow and screamed "you're back and you are dressed better than ever!" We ended up spending seven minutes with her, I felt bad because there were people waiting. But she wouldn't let us leave and we were having too much fun, so we just went with it!

Wow!!! This event was not even my radar for this trip.

All the positive review have sold me that this a must do event.

We're booked for 12/2 the 8pm show. It will be DD17, DS14 and myself. I'm so excited! Disney may have taken away StarWars Fireworks and Electrical parade but they came us villains!!

Please, please, puh...puh....puh....PLEASE Disney, continue this event through February. If I have to turn 40, I want to do it with villains.

*Side note* I'm using the tag-line "If I have to turn 40, I want to do it with ______", for everything. I will be using it. A LOT.

They signed for everybody when we went in May.

I really, really hope they continue to extend this. If I could go again next August, I'd do it in a heartbeat!
