Hi! We arrived today at BC and will be here until the 16th. It's me, DH, & DD. We'll be going to the dark side for one day, MK, Epcot, HS, & AK.

To start we drove, stopping over night in Tallahassee, Fl, then continuing on to Disney today.

Friday, the 9th, we stopped in Tallahassee & ate at a diner called Ruby's Diner. It was really good. We had the grilled chicken with green beans, the fried chicken breast with fries & mashed potatoes, & a hamburger with fries. image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegThis place really was a pleasant surprise.

image.jpeg Today, we checked into BC around 1pm. Our room was ready; which was awesome! So of course off to the pool we go. After some splashing fun, it was time to get ready for Captain's Grill.
We were seated right away. Our waiter was very nice. We got 10% off our meal using our Disney card, yay! To start I ordered a Mai Tai, sorry I drink some before taking pic. Then for an appetizer we had the rock shrimp. But I forgot to take a picture. Next up our entrees.
I ordered the crab legs. They were so sweet & juicy. My DH ordered the pork tenderloin with fries. He said it was tender & flavorful. My DD ordered the pan seared chicken with fries. She also enjoyed her meal. Altogether it was a wonderful meal & a great start to our vacation.

Tomorrow we'll be heading to the dark side, aka Universal. We're going to be winging it. So stay tuned to see where we end up eating.

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Today we went to Universal. We ate breakfast in our room. It was just donuts & a protein drink. Nothing special.
Universal was fun & Diagon Alley is so detailed. My DD & I were picked at Ollivander's. The wands are so expensive! Of course we had to buy DD's. A quick note about U.S., the bathrooms were very clean, I much preferred their security than Disney's (it's quicker), but the CMs at Disney are so much nicer, imo.
To the food:
We ate lunch at Finnagan's. We ordered the hamburger & fries, the Kid's hamburger & fries, & the Kid's turkey sandwich with carrot sticks & grapes. We were also given soda bread; which reminded me of a biscuit, heavy, but good. It came with butter & something else that tasted like figs, I liked it. Everything was good, nothing outstanding.
Tonight, we weren't hungry so we ate in the BC CL. Forgot to take pics. It was mostly carrot sticks, dips, bread, cheese, smoked salmon.
Tomorrow is going to be HS.

Great report so far. I've never been to Captain's Grill before but will be putting it on my list for next time. I can't believe how many crab legs are on your plate!

They were big and so good. I ate them all and waddled out. Lol.

Today was our HS day. We weren't going to park until 12 and didn't have dining reservations until 4, so we ordered room service for breakfast. I have say the guy who brought it set it up so precise and nice. We had 2 orders of eggs your way & the kids one egg meal. It was all delicious and the butter was Mickey shaped!

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg So on to HS. We had reservations at Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic package. Our check in was smooth and we called quickly. That's about where the niceness ended. Our waitress was not nice and the service wasn't good. My DH kept trying to ask her something and she completely ignored him. She brought out our appetizers before the bread. She swept by taking plates without a word to us. Dropped a piece of bread, kicked it across the floor, not joking. This continued throughout the meal. As for the food, the appetizers were good. We had the mozzarella & tomatoes, Cesar salad, & the tuna. The olive oil that came with the bread was nasty. The entrees we ordered were 2 spaghetti and meatballs & the penne alla vodka with shrimp. The meatball were good. My DD didn't care for the sauce in spaghetti and I didn't care for the sauce in the penne. So we swapped, but I didn't like the spaghetti sauce either. Then on to dessert. We were given a trio of desserts. I have no idea what they were. Our not so fabulous waitress plopped them down and mumbled what they were and left. The first one was a sponge cake type thing. It was ok. The middle one, I have no clue, it was my least favorite. The last one with the little balls was the best one. It tasted citrus and cheesecake. The total was around $160. Too much money for the service and entrees we didn't eat. And we ended up not going to Fantasmic. Oh well, next time we won't do the package and won't go back there.
Side note: not sure why pics keep coming out on top.

For lunch this Tuesday, we went to Liberty Tree Tavern. I have to say it is one of my favorites and to make it even better MK wasn't crowded!
First we had the warm bread and yummy butter. Then we order the Pilgrims Platter and the New England pot roast. Both of these were so good. After our meal we rolled out of the restaurant.

Tonight we'll be eating at Teppan Edo.

Picking up where I left off, Teppan Edo. Last night it was raining and raining, so the check in was upstairs. We were seated quickly with two other couples. Our chef was funny, though it was hard to hear what he was saying with the vents and the table across from us was loud. Our food was good as usual. We really like this restaurant. We ordered the steak and shrimp, the chicken, and the shrimp. Everything was cooked perfectly. The beef rice was really good too. They give you 2 sauces, if I'm not mistaken, they use to give three. Also, I could do without the spinach.
After eating, we had to wade our way back to our resort at BC. Seriously, there were places where the water was half way up my calf. (I'm 5') After a while of sliding in my sandals, I just took them off and continued walking. I was scared to fall with the shoes. Honestly, though it was kind of fun.

Today we're going to Akershus Royal Banquet Hall for breakfast. It'll be our only ADR today. I canceled the Chefs de France we had. Nothing against it, just wanted to be able to stay at pool (if it doesn't rain) if we want to. I am hoping to go get ice cream in France later today. I didn't get to go last night with all the rain. It would've been impossible to eat in the rain. I'll update later.

We arrived at ABH on time and were seated quickly after our picture with Belle. I took quick pics of the items. And sorry but I forgot to take a pic of the platter before everyone dug in. The food was good. My DH loved the bacon so much he got a second helping. Then the princesses came out. We had Cinderella, Ariel, Snow White, & Sleeping Beauty. They all came by each table taking a picture with you and chatting a few words.

After eating we walked right onto the Frozen ride. It's a cute ride. But I would never wait over 30min for it. I'm including a few pics for the heck of it.

We didn't eat lunch anywhere. But we did get a few snacks along the way, unfortunately I didn't get pics of all of them. First we bought a some fruit loops, a couple of bags of chips, & a container with cheese, grapes, & 1 strawberry at Sunshine Seasons. Then we went thru the world showcase. My DH & DD bought the shaved ice in Japan, they loved it, so refreshing. I bought a chocolate covered strawberry and a chocolate covered caramel square in Germany. The strawberry was so good and juicy, I gobbled it up before remembering to take a pic. I'm saving the square for later. We also picked up a rice crispy treat with m&ms and of course no trip would be complete without a large sucker (according to DD). And lastly on my out I went and got a caramel ice cream in France. Mmmmmm, so good. If there was an ice cream shop at home with that flavor, I'd be huge!!! I kind of ate a good bit before I took the pic. :rolleyes1

We will be eating at LTT for the first time on our upcoming trip! We are sooo excited about this reservation! The pictures look delicious! Were the fries part of the meal or were those ordered separately?
Thank you for your reviews!

Nice reviews! We're staying at the Beach Club in Nov. for the first time and plan to eat breakfast at Captains Grille, but dinner looks excellent! We're also going back to MM for lunch for the first time in a few years, so I'm sorry to hear about your experience - your waitress sounds :sad2: We're also having lunch at LTT and haven't been there in a few years, either. Your pictures are getting me excited!
