Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

You are awesome! It would be nice to know if they are standard or not. I am needing 2 connecting rooms with water view and murphy beds. :)
The only water view rooms that have been reported, as connecting and both with murphy beds, are 1245/1246 in Barbado's. I am sure there are more but those are the 2 that have been reported and appear on this list.

I requested via fax through touring plans a room on the ground floor of Aruba 51. It seemed like a good spot to walk to OPR since it's right by the bridge and close to bus stops. Has anyone stayed in that area?

Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51 are our 2 favorite locations. Both are about 3-4 minute stroll across the bridge to OPR and the Main Feature Pool. We prefer Jamaica 45 slightly over Aruba 51 but that's just because we love the bright yellow exteriors of the Jamaica buildings.

Reading these comments about the Murphy bed rooms has me thinking. If we are booked as a party of 5, I assumed we would get a room with a Murphy bed, is that incorrect? Should I have requested one? We arrive in 7 days :yay: and we've booked a preferred room. All I requested was Martinique, ground floor, close to transportation.

If you are a party of 5, all over the age of 3, you will definitely get a room with a Murphy Bed.

What I had done was search "murphy bed" and "pull down bed" throughout this thread and then grabbed any room that was posted. I definitely could have missed a few, especially if it was posted with anything other than these 2 statements. I did go back and search "5529" and still never found your post :( So then I searched posts by "themommy" and still didn't find a post with your room # on it :crazy2: I am going to see if I can find the previous CBR thread and pick up any others

I know I am missing some so hopefully, everyone will chime in.
Apparently you missed it because I called them "trundle". lol The post was in the old thread.
Just a few things pertaining to Aruba & Jamaica transportation until the bridge is fixed: The boat shuttle that runs until dusk, is awesome! It holds 10 people per trip and moves back and forth extremely quickly. The vans during the day seem very frequent. The vans late at night are VERY slow. After two nights of waiting and thinking "we could have been there by now", we decided we would walk it the last few nights.

Trundle rooms: Jamaica Building 41, room 4115 & Aruba 55, room 5529 are both rooms with trundles.

The playground is definitely accessible from OPR side! :)

If you are using Magical Express, make sure you check your boarding passes before you leave the area when checking your bags in! Apparently there were 2 people staying at CBR with the same name. DH and a man from Dallas. DH got the other guys boarding pass and they sent DH's luggage to Dallas instead of NC. We did not notice until we were about to go through security at the airport. Trust me, NOT GOOD. They fixed the boarding pass but, we did not get the luggage until Tuesday and we left on Saturday. This could happen at any of the Disney Resorts so, no matter which one you are staying at....CHECK YOUR BOARDING PASS!

So, we're staying at CBR for the first time...so excited to try out a new resort...in January. We are in a water view pirate room, so I know it will be a fair distance from the food court area (dh loves being able to just grab a quick bite to eat). Is there anything I can request, via online checkin when it's time, that might get us a bit closer? I don't think there is, but figured you guys might have some advice.

Just got back from a 12 day stay. Room 2333, corner room with no pull down bed. This was our first stay. We enjoyed our stay! We had some issues with housekeeping and no hot water one day. The food court can be crowded, especially if it's raining.
The setting is beautiful, the beaches are lovely. I was worried about the walking but wasn't bothered by it at all. We never had a problem getting a bus to or from the parks or Disney springs. So close to Epcot, Hollywood studios and Disney springs!
I liked CBR over POR and I see it debated a lot but I think it all comes down to personal preference. I really loved the setting of CBR!

I finally found it! I had forgotten to even look at the past CBR thread. That is when they were just finishing the refurb so I found several more rooms and added them to the most resent list that I posted yesterday :woohoo:

I would call and add a request of buildings 34, 35 or 36. The walk from those buildings would give you about the same walk as the back of the 80's building at Pop if you've ever stayed there.

Looks like the north end of building 35 or the water view rooms in building 34 would be your closest locations. About 1/2 of building 35 has water view rooms but a few of those water view rooms are on the back side and have a view of the quiet pool instead of the lake. The North end of building 35 with a lake view and the few water (lake) view rooms in Building 34 both would give you easy access to the walking path to OPR.

Are you booked standard and want a water view or have you booked water view???
We are 2 families of 5 booked water view. So, we both need murphy beds and would like to be next door to each other or connecting. Our MDE's are linked too.

Thanks! I already have adjoining rooms in Jamaica or Martinique in our requests from when we booked, but I'm curious if we should change that. I have no idea if our room types are available in those sections.

Thanks!!!

Jamaica & Martinique both have waterview rooms in their village and I know that there are ALOT more murphy bed rooms that are available than what is showing on the list so I think you will be fine. Can't hurt to show your requests of exactly what you want. None of us are guaranteed our requests but at least they will know where we would like to be :flower3: The only other thing that you may want to include in your request is "lake view" since some of the water view rooms are a view of the quite pool

I have added a few more rooms that have been reported as having the murphy bed in the room (utilizing the post on the first page of this thread from mickeystoontown and added some new ones that have been posted on this thread and a couple of others). PLEASE-if I have missed anyone's post or if anyone else has a room to share, please tag me using @SPOERLX3 and I will be happy to add it to my list and add a post with the newest list and @mickeystoontown can add it to the first page of murphy room listings, when time allows:
(not trying to take over mickeystoontown, just trying to help :goodvibes for those of us that are needing/wanting a murphy bed)

Thank you so very very much for updating the list and I absolutely did not feel like you were trying to take over. I've been absent from the Disboards so much lately. The day we came home from our WDW trip, my boss passed away unexpectedly, my husband's place of employment shut the doors and our lives were turned upside down. We are both now at new jobs but I am still trying to help my deceased boss's family close out his office. Working two jobs is about to do me in. I can't wait to have the chance to get to actively writing on the Dis.

I've copied and pasted your updated list and replaced the one that I had started.

Oh honey, I am sooo sorry. I will put you on my prayer list.
I hope your lives are back to normal soon.

I have made a spreadsheet at work and as anyone posts a room # with a murphy bed, I will keep it updated and periodically post it here and send you a private inbox with the info. I hope this will help you. I know that keeping up with a thread can become a full time job! I have also found some posts on other blogs that I have added to our list here and I am adding the info in a note on the touring plans room finder as they are posted here. Hopefully, someday, we can get the majority of the murphy bed rooms listed here!
Thank you for all you do to keep this thread up!
