Happy Thursday. Played tennis last night in lieu of cutting the grass.

Better use of the time.
If you going to be abusing yourself, you should at least be enjoying doing it.

Finally woke up to a little rain this morning, but we've got our eyes to the south and the drunken meanderings of Hermine.

Hope you're not in the direct path.
It should be down to just a whole lot of rain by the time it gets here.
The current track may keep it a bit southeast too, so a glancing blow is what we're expecting at this point.

I am supposed to head over to a friend's house to cut his grass. He's got Stage 4 Colon Cancer. Sadly, he's basically given up. He's got a wife and two young boys. Planning on hanging around after I cut the grass to watch some college football. He's the one who introduced me to the wonderful world of college football (University of Tenn, in particular) so hoping we can spend some time together. Would appreciate some prayers for him.

In happier news, we're 65 days out from our adults-only/F&W/10th anniversary trip.

We're at 18 days out for a similar anniversary trip.
Anything you'd like me to reconnoiter and report back to you on?

Not on vacation but up to backside at the day job and heading to China Saturday.

May the trip be productive and offer at least a bit of diversion amongst all the required work load.

No, just a little under the weather. Nothing serious but seeing the doctor tomorrow. My guess is a slight case of anemia so I will have to drop my trousers to get a shot of B-12.

One of my old stomping grounds (Cedar Key) is bracing for a Cat. 1. Hoping it doesn't ruin Saturday's game in Gainesville. Everybody in it's path, stay safe.

It should be just past me and starting to lash the Outer Banks by Saturday, so the Gators ought to be good to go.
Now as for our WCU at ECU opener... that one may be a mite on the damp side.

Well, getting in what college football, and my Cubs on MLB, I can since opening weekend is down the toilet for me traveling. It's definitely opening night for Tennessee with UT Vols and their #9 ranking trailing Appalachian State early, Vanderbilt and So Carolina just starting and the kids school UT Chattanooga already up 31-0 still in 2nd qtr.

It's DW and my 16th wedding Anniversary tomorrow. Hope we make it another 16 years or more.

Made the trip back across the country and got home around 1 am this morning so I'm working from home today.

Lemme get this straight. You worked yesterday and then flew home (from a work trip) and got in at 1am... and they still want you to put in a day's work???

Went to the doctor this morning, and everything seems to be working. He agrees it is probably anemia so he made me drop my pants for a B-12 shot. Just waiting for the blood work to confirm. Now off to get my hair cut and run errands including provisions for tomorrow's first weekend of football.

The Pirate Princess got some good news yesterday. She applied for the Shark Research Project for her internship and they picked her. Similar to what she did when she did a couple of times during an undergraduate internship except she is focusing on drawing blood from the sharks and lab analysis.

No bourbon for me tonite. Had a great day - tennis with DW, Mass, shopping and samples at Sam's Club, and pizza & beer. Only thing missing was being in Disney World or near an ocean. It would have made it the perfect day.

Good morning everyone. Again, thank you for the wishes. Yesterday was a terrific day and one of the best anniversaries I can remember. The only thing that would have made it better was ending the day with Hallo-Wishes, Star Wars Fireworks, or Wishes at TOTWL. DW got me a new tennis bag and I bought her the "My Pillow". She's still sleeping, so I hope that means it was a good pillow. I have tennis this AM and nothing else on the calendar. The temp dropped 10 degrees here with no humidity, which made it even nicer yesterday. You all enjoy your Labor Day holiday weekend.

Morning Guys to the best day of the year. Yes, you guessed it, the first Saturday of the college football season. The batteries in the remote are changed, snacks are ready to go and my butt is about to get firmly planted on the couch. Florida plays its opening game patsy, this time it is UMASS. New Year, new quarterback and new hope for another good season. All that is left to say is GO GATORS!
