EPCOT DVC lounge

I think no one really knows what the intent was... although I don't think there is anywhere they want you to come in and stay-- except the gift shops...

I liked it just fine-- it's better than not having one.
That is what I thought. I guessed it was suppose to be just a place to stop by. Not a place to hang out at, for any length of time.

I think that is exactly how we are going to treat it. Rest and replenish and head back onto the surface of the sun. Hahaha.

34 days!! :tigger:

Was it designed for people to come and stay? Or was it suppose to be a quick stop to take a rest, get a drink, make an ADR?
The snack cart goes around about every 30 - 45 minutes, so I think you are supposed have your drink, eat the snack then leave.

We stopped by on 2 different days and will continue to stop during future trips if they keep it going.

I did bring a (Norway) school bread up to the lounge the 2nd day, and the CM checking me in said how much he liked the school bread, and let me up.

Just wondering, are the snacks free? That would make it a kind of nice little perk.

They also have phone charging cords to borrow if you want a few minutes of recharging while you're cooling off. We visited on our June trip - it was hot as all get out so it felt good to cool off & have a sip of something to drink & a quickie snack. I could see hanging out there for a little while say if I was waiting on someone or something.

I would maybe get more out of it at another park...for example I won't ride Primevil Whirl 'cuz it hurts my back but DH & DS always do so I sit around waiting on them. It would be nice to have a lounge area to wait in rather than hoping to share a hard bench (hopefully in the shade).

I really liked it. It does get crowded but what a nice perk to get a complimentary drink/snack.

Loved it. Spent about 30 min to an hour during the heat of the day twice.

Charged the entire groups phones as there were countless ports and cables available.

Drinks and snacks, nice seats, open and airy with SE in the distance. Hope it stays.

went their twice this past week, and enjoyed it....stayed about 20 minutes each time to lounge around a bit in air conditioning, have a diet coke, enjoy the great view, then on our way!!

Can you go in the lounge with a family who is traveling with you...staying on your DVC points in a different room...but are not official members?

TIA
Ellen

It's based on membership status not where you are staying.
A member may bring up to 5 guests (guests normally include a member's children, but I guess a joint couple could invite up to 10 others, including children)

  • Valid Membership Card and photo ID required at check-in. The name on the Membership Card must match the name on the photo ID.
  • Party size is limited to the Member and up to 5 guests per Membership Card.
  • Guests and Associates must be accompanied by a Member with a valid Membership Card and photo ID.
  • No automatic re-entry allowed. Members and their guests who leave the space must follow the same entry policy.
  • Strollers must be parked at the attraction stroller parking outside.
  • Children may not be left unattended in the Member Lounge.
  • Members should remain with their guests.
  • Personal devices should not be left unattended.
  • Personal cups may not be used with the Coke Freestyle machines.
  • Access to the Member Lounge is part of Membership Extras. New purchasers after April 4, 2016, must purchase directly from Disney to have access to Membership Extras.

Seating in the lounge is limited, large groups will find it difficult to get a seat together and you may find their are not enough seats for a large party.

Who is allowed in ??? If you buy DVC resale are you allowed in ??? Also it would be nice if they had a character picture like they do for Disney Visa card holders !!! party:

Thanks everyone waiting on Disney RFR on a Extended Old Keywest contract !!! :fish: :scared: :listen: :scratchin:disrocks:
