"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 - Have Yourself a Very Mickey Christmas.

Can't say I blame you. Waiting for the reviews to come in before I commit.

Ditto. Have the dessert party booked. but most likely will cancel. Need to see the reviews though before we make the final decision! Mom has mobility issues so that is why I got them....but the price is crazy tho! The last time we went to a regular wishes dessert party was 2 years ago and it was just under $30 per person!

Historically Thursday and Fridays are the busiest days bringing in the locals in addition to the tourists. However with the ever changing travel schedule of tourism the early part of December is becoming increasingly more popular. Still would lean toward either Sunday or Tuesday for your best chance to avoid the larger crowds. Also according to touringplans.com these are still your best option based on their analysis. Hope you enjoy your trip.

Thank you for the info! I was leaning towards Sunday as well. I'll have to further investigate touringplans.com for the rest of the trip!

As far as meeting Scrooge or the princesses/princes, I think it all depends your schedule. All those lines can get kind of long. I would try doing one of those meets directly after you see the Seven Dwarfs!

Awesome, good to know. Thank you!! So far everyone's advice has been to do the meet and greets right away when the party starts, do you know if the lines get shorter as the night progresses or they are continuously long throughout the night for the high demand characters?

I just thought of the character dance party, do they have that going throughout the whole night? And could you share with me what characters you've seen there if you have attended in the past? Is this like the dance party that used to happen at the Disney Jr place in Hollywood Studios for resort guests? Thanks in advance for the advice!

We have a 6:35 BOG reservation for our party night. I keep looking for something earlier but no luck so far. I'm leaning toward cancelling it altogether since we already have a lunch planned at BOG for the day before, and we're paying OOP for all meals. I also don't want to waste precious party time by having a long sit-down dinner.

The high demand characters usually stay long (Jack Skellington, Dwarfs, sometimes the princesses/princes)...but you could have luck going later in the night it just really depends.

Yes the dance parties usually go through to the end of the night. In years past there's been 2- one in Cosmic Rays and one in the Diamond Horseshoe. I believe last year Phineas & Ferb were at one and the Country Bears were at the other.

We're kind of in the same boat. I really wanted a BOG dinner so we can meet beast, but we could only get a 6:45 on our party night. The party starts at 7pm, and I htink the Frozen show is at 8pm with a parade right after... it's not worth missing the party we're paying for, I guess. I keep checking for something at like 4:30 instead, but no luck so far.

Depending on WHO you want to meet n greet, that late of an ADR could mess with your party plans. This is a pretty good guide with some good tips. Read or scroll through to the bottom to get to the meet n greets, but it's a good read just to orient yourself to the party.

IF Be Our Guest is important, first, keep checking for other ADRs throughout your stay. Second, I would try checking in to the podium around 6:00 and ask to be seated as soon as they can do it. When you order, ask them to bring your check and settle up while you're waiting on your food. This way, you can just leave when your finished eating.

We will be in the world from 12/16 to 12/26. That being said I refuse to pay $99ea for the MVMCP 20% over last year Seriously?. Time to say NO MORE. I don't see the value in it anymore.

I finally bought our tickets for 11/29. It's our arrival day - supposed to land at 11:30 so we should have plenty of time. I also have the Wishes Dessert party booked - for now. We'll see what the initial reports look like. I just ordered a cute shirt and ears to match, too!

Can anybody tell me what the crowds are like at the party? I know a limited number of tickets are sold. This would actually be my biggest reason for buying one, so that we could enjoy Magic Kingdom at night and the fireworks without crazy crowd levels. It's been jam packed with hardly 6 inches of space between people the last two times I went to Magic Kingdom at night, especially during fireworks and I actually regretted going there. I want to be able to enjoy it with a little room to breath and not spend an hour just trying to get out of the park. I'm concerned they sell a lot of tickets it will still be super crowded though.

I've only ever been to one "party" there. If it's anything like it was a couple years ago, the parade & fireworks will be very crowded. The rides will have minimal lines.

This will be my first MVMCP, but we did MNSSHP last year. It was more busy than I expected for the party specific things. We did the first parade.

For this party, we are going to try to wait for the second parade (and sleep in the next day) so we can fit more in.

How exciting! :)

1. Line up early for the Dwarfs...like 5:30-6:00pm, so you can be on of the first to meet them and not waste a ton of party time in line for them!

4. YES! Definitely plan on 2nd parade

5. Depends on what characters, but I would not count on getting to most of them at that time. Usually the lines close before then.

6. I would do character meets first and save the rides for later in the night

Agree.

#3 - do right after the 7D. They should be across from them. Line gets long as night goes on. 7D sometimes come out 15min early.
