Disney Dream 4 Night Bahamas Cruise May 29, 2017

Hi Trischa. I'm from Hawaii, and have been planning (saving for) this trip for years now. Because it is so expensive to go anywhere from Hawaii, we are going to pack in everything that Florida has to offer in a single trip. The planning is so much fun, I have no idea what I am going to do after the trip is over!

Welcome Julie!!! Are you going on the cruise and then onto a park or to a park prior to a cruise? What do you have planned? We actually moved to Florida because the drive to see Mickey was too far and we're old. lol.. My husband got me here by dangling the mouse in front of me so we have several trips planned... only takes us 2 hours or so to get there. We would like to go to Aulani before our boys graduate...we have a few years to go for that. If we can help you with anything just let us know!

We are doing Universal for 5 days, then the cruise, then a week offsite somewhere to do Disney, LEGOLAND, Discovery Cove, and whatever else my kids decide they want to add to the list. I need to keep them off of youtube (or maybe it is me that needs to stay off message boards)! This will be my kids first trip out of Hawaii, and my husband's and my first trip to Disney. Very excited! The most frustrating part is waiting for the window to book airfare and hotels have opened.

I'm sure I'll have millions of questions as time goes by. I've been a lurker on disboards for a long time now, and I am very happy to finally have a reason to post something!

I have heard that Aulani is fantastic. Very expensive, but a lot of fun. That is on my list of things to do someday. If I lived on Oahu, I would go visit often, I believe a lot of local people have meals there so that they can soak in the ambiance without having to pay for a room. I think every couple of years Disney does a cruise to Hawaii - you could hop on that and make it a big adventure!

We are going on this cruise as well (had to reschedule from the 11/11/16 Dream sailing. It will be me, my girlfriend and her two nieces (5 and 8 by cruise time). We have all cruised before on other cruise lines. My GF and I have cruised DCL once before (also the Dream) but this will be girls' first Disney cruise.

I know the girls would LOVE to do the FE.

We are WDW and Universal Annual Passholders so we will probably spend a few days at the parks pre or post cruise (not decided yet).

On a side note.... HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all. We just got home from Epcot. Our sons school band played at Universal Studios on Friday, a little competition thing... and we decided to stay over and go to Epcot for Mothers Day. Just got home... best Mothers Day ever... am wore out, sun burned and ready to soak in the tub. Welcome new folks.. we can hardly wait to sail!

I have done one cruise before, way back in 2000. We didn't have nearly this much info and we didn't know anything about door decorating or Fish Extenders. I'm really looking forward to participating in the extra activities this time around.

Hi Mamasan! Welcome!! We are so glad you are joining us on the cruise! So tell us a little bit about yourself. Who will be traveling with you? Where are you from?

I will be traveling with my hubby, 3 kids, my mother, my older sister, her son and my sister in law, her hubby and their 2 kids. We are coming from Ohio, near Akron. I can't tell you much about it because I don't live there yet. We are in the process of moving from Nebraska (job transfer). When my oldest (20 now!) Went into Kindergarten we took a Disney cruise to celebrate her entrance into school. For my son (13) we went to the Disney parks and stayed on property. Now we have a 4 year old so we are making the cruise happen again.
