***Official November 2016 Thread***

OK, that list I just sent was their projected dates from 2015. This link I'm attaching has the actual wait times from last year (they weren't far off, but not exact in their predictions), along with their predictions for this year:

http://blog.touringplans.com/2016/04/07/least-crowded-disney-world-christmas-party-2016/

They predict the party dates with the best wait times for 2016 to be:

1. Tuesday, November 15

2. Tuesday, November 8

3. Thursday, November 10

4. Tuesday, December 6

5. Monday, November 7 (first party of the year)
Looks like my dates arent on there, i was hoping to go 12/1 or 12/2. Since those are weekdays i was figuring the crowds wouldnt be too bad...i hope!

I'm just guessing here, but it looks like the parks aren't that crowded that week in general. With two parties back-to-back, my guess is that it will help split the crowds coming for the Christmas Party that week as well. It shouldn't be terrible at all, but it looks like Thursdays & Tuesdays are always better than the Fridays & Sunday party dates, so I'd go with the 1st if you can't decide which. I'm sure no matter what, it'll be magical! And if you like Christmas stuff, check out Minnie's Holiday Dine as well!

Thanks! I keep moving around my park days because i cant decide. I could even do 11/29. Youre right, im sure they wont be too busy. We were originally going to go 11/15 (my birthday) but changed because of FD. I love Christmas Did you do Minnies holiday dine last year?

Nope, we weren't there last year, and I think it was the first year they did it. All of the reviews I found were very positive though! And since you have free dining, it's still just 1 table service ticket to do the dinner with the Fantasmic Dining Package:

Ok, for those who'll be there ON Thanksgiving day: what are your park/dining plans?
I'm thinking Animal Kingdom, as that's what was recommended when we went in 2014, but I'm waiting for easyWDW predictions to come out before I finalize that. I really don't know about dining... we are trying to keep it cheap this trip (dh and I are paying for 11 people), but last time we did Boma for dinner. We'll have a house, so we COULD do some cooking, but who wants to do that at Disney?!

Just found this thread today! Booked our trip this past Tuesday although I have been planning it since last October.
We're going 11/19-11/26 - Cars Suite at AOA with Free Dining.
It's me DH, DS (16) and DD (12) the suites seemed to make the most sense for us since they won't share a bed and the 2 bathrooms sounded like a good idea!
Can't wait to see everyone plans!
I have to book my ADR's before I can book my flights though since we are flying with SouthWest points and they don't release November until June 2nd!

We leave on Thanksgiving day but will have park time that day since our flight doesn't leave until evening. We may be crazy but we're planning on MK with a Liberty Tree Tavern ADR (fingers crossed). We know it's going to be incredibly crowded but we are planning rope drop and using our 3 FP+. We're just going to try to enjoy as much as possible before we have to head to the airport.

We always do cape may. I like traditional turkey but my husband likes seafood especially the crab legs. It is a buffet so it is really great. Plus I like to check out that hotel to see the giant gingerbread carousel in their lobby. Amazing smells. Also don't forget to see the giant gingerbread house at grand Floridian. You can also go see an an amazing chocolate Santa Santa scene at the swan hotel near hs.

Ha, I'm with you on the no cooking at Disney! You know easy put out a preliminary Nov. calendar? He does say there'll be a bunch of changes and it was tough to do with so much up in the air (RoL? JB show? And no evening entertainment scheduled yet) but at least it's a start.

I've considered this, too. Last year we had planned a lazy morning, brunch at the Wave and then AK/HS but that all went downhill when I caught that stomach bug. First I was going to plan the same thing, but I'm wondering if we should try MK first thing? And I like LTT lunch......

Nobody really cares if we have the "traditional" Thanksgiving foods except me lol, which is one reason I booked the Wave last year b/c they had both on the menu. We've seen all the holiday displays a couple times, thanks! Will definitely see them again this year. But last year was the first time we took the time to check out the displays at Swan/Dolphin and I'm so glad we did because that choc. Santa scene is incredible!!!!!
I'm glad to see you enjoy CMC though. I'm pretty sure we're trying it for the first time this trip :)

So right now I'm up in the air between LTT lunch, attempting Wave again or something totally different....so basically no idea! I'd love to spend a good part of the day at AK and end it with the evening entertainment whatever that is by Nov., but I hate basing a holiday on stuff that isn't set and I KNOW nothing will be set when it's my ADR day. Josh still has AK as most recommended that day but I'm wondering if, with the additions there, as it gets closer it'll end up not being the most recommended. These Thanksgiving trips are truly the only ones I spend so much time going back and forth on plans for lol.

I'm still figuring out the park. It will be our final night. So I'm thinking Spirit of Aloha since we are staying at the Poly.

I've searched his site and can't find anything but park hours for November. Can you post the link for me?

ETA: nevermind, I found it by using google!

It will almost certainly change! Animal Kingdom is possibly expanding their hours permanently into the evening, and Epcot's World Showcase will probably open up earlier once Anna & Elsa are there.

Yeah - I'm planning our meals and park days tentatively, and assuming that Wishes will continue and that Animal Kingdom will expand their night hours. Rivers of Light is messing with everything right now. I hope that by mid-summer everything gets figured out and things start to shake out with details.

T
The hours are out....
These have been online for a few weeks. And I question there accuracy. For one thing still no information on Wishes. Also I see nothing about the new AK night hours, which we know are happening , as WDW is promoting them. These hours may turn out to be somewhat accurate, but I eould bet they change quite a bit. Especially the "Wishes = None"

Historically Wishes normally runs Mon, Wed, Sat. Sometimes more often.

Undortunatly , I plan my MK days based on Wishes and the Dessert Party......

As of now WDW had offical hiur only through the 6th.....and no Wishes scheduled at all....

For what it's worth we attended the first party last year and I thought the crowds were low. We did decide to meet Jack Skellington and that line took around an hour of our party time. We pretty much walked on all the rides and regular meet n' greets. Our only hiccup was the second parade was delayed due to weather so we wasted a lot of time waiting for it. But other than that it was smooth sailing.

In 2012 we went sometime between the 6th-11th and had a long wait in the beginning for the dwarves, but other than that minimal waits for rides and characters.

We are going to the first party again this year sincce we'll be there for Wine & Dine.

Wow, busy thread today! And I see quite a few people who will be there the beginning of my trip (11/19-11/26) :goodvibes

We were there Thanksgiving week last year; the crowds the beginning of the week (Sat-Tues. before, when you'll be there) weren't that bad. It was very easy for me to get all the ADR's I wanted because for the most part, FD was over. You (and millions of others lol) had trouble because you went in the thick of it! I can only think it'll be the same again this year, a downfall of going during FD. Being that last year FD ended the Thurs. before Thanksgiving and this year it goes until the Monday before, it'll probably be even harder for you (and me......).
I can't speak to the crowds the week before Thanksgiving b/c other than last year, we've only done the week after and Veterans week years ago when there was still such a thing as "lower crowd times" at Disney ;)
Hi! Can you tell me how the crowds were last year on Black Friday? Ok so, I know it's going to be crowded..but still manageable? At Epcot specifically?

I am staying at CR 12/3-12/7 post cruise. But now am 99.9% sure that I'm going to add a night (at a different resort) on 11/25, pre cruise, so we can have a full day at Epcot before leaving to Port Canaveral.
