GRRRRR!!!! So, we called back and changed our dates since you guys all suggested we should, since the change to drop our first 2 days basically made a new reservation, and I wanted that all done before tonight's craziness. However, we were booked in a Royal Guest Room with a pool view. To change our dates, she said we had to lose our room type, and now we are stuck in a garden view. We really wanted pool view because that put us in Oak Manor, which I've read online is the only one with an elevator. We have 2 strollers and will have 2 sleeping girls at night so that was a must for us! So I'm bummed that we lost our room, the CM said it was an issueof inventory, not dates but I don't know what that means. We had the room, so the room should be part of the inventory, right?? I'm confused.

On a positive note, though, she said to call back tomorrow in the afternoon because lots of things could've changed by then, which was a hint that tomorrow is actually the big day. But then she said we could have her extension and call her directly because she will be there from 7a-11p tomorrow, LOTS of overtime! So that's a pretty good sign!
We stayed at Parterre Place back in 2014 and I remember it had an elevator. We also had a garden view and it faced the river. When I booked my bb in Oct POR only had RR available for the end of Sept thru the first of Oct. I think with a garden view. Absolutely breathtaking views at night!

i totally agree!! i think that might be what we will do! but if we do go for 2 rooms can i book 2 by myself?

You'd have to do one at a time. I'd recommend booking the second in a different name and link them in MDE and over the phone, but that doesn't mean you can't.

just chatted with a CM and was told I can book all three room reservations on my one MDE account. Somewhere back on the first thread someone said you could only do two. Does anyone have any experience with this?

No personal experience, but there have been threads on the theme parks board of Disney cancelling ALL the reservations when there's multiples under the same MDE account. The one I recall recently had 4. Two seems like a safe number since people often need 2 rooms for capacity reasons, but I don't know if I would chance 3 honestly.

If I have another family linked on my mde account, can I apply the discount for them?

Did you book it under your MDE or just link with the "friends/family" stuff? If it's just linked, I don't believe you can make any changes to their reservation.

I know this has been asked a bzillion times, but can I make a new reservation on my phone? I know not on the MDE app.
Booked on my phone last year. Opened web browser and went to disney page. You can go ahead and do that first before you go to bed and then it will be the first thing that opens up when you open browser again.

If I book FD with the $200 down and need to cancel, do you get that refunded if it's far enough in advance? Thanks!

I'm supposed to be booking POR tomorrow, and with all this POP talk, I just want to book there. Time to rethink everything all over again.....:hyper:
I want to switch to POR but unless a garden view opens up, I'll be staying at POP.

Is it bad that I'm trying to push my Monday travel for work to Tuesday so I can stay up tonight? Bad, bad, Disney, lol.

Was parterre place super far away from everything? The reviews I've read all day that oak manor is the place to be, because the other is a long walk from absolutely everything. River views would be great, that was our ideal choice but they were all booked. How did you like the RR?

We're thinking of adding both the Park Hopper and Water Parks and more to our vacation and we've never done the water parks. How do the water parks count for park days? Do they count as a park day or do we just get 10 water park days in addition to our park days? We'll be there for 14 days and buying 10 days at the parks. I hope this question makes sense.

Thanks.

We were at Pop this January just for a night, DH loved the atmosphere and we enjoyed the food court. He did not enjoy the bus or the full size beds(I kinda liked having my own bed, but would never tell him that!)

Question, I have always booked my Disney trips with TA, I will not be this time, decided to book with Disney online. Last year I saw what I wanted online but could not modify and even got through that morning on the phone to be told TA had to make change for me to get FD I could not, by the time I talked to TA and she got through she could only get me Preferred room at my Resort. Was a crazy week for both of us because I would see what I wanted online but she was not able to get it when she would get through to Disney. Eventually I got what I wanted but it was not fair for her and I don't think she was very happy that week.

So if FD comes out and I can not book standard and change my resort to get standard, but later in the week standard and my resort are available with FD do I have to call Disney and make the change or am I able to change my resort with FD online.

We've always gotten water parks and more. You get a "visit" for each day of your ticket. It comes from a different bank than your park tickets. Some things that are included that they don't always tell you are mini golf and Quest. We use most of our visits for mini golf

if you have 10 day water park and more tickets that means you have 10 days of tickets for the parks and 10 days to use on the water parks or mini golf etc. They are seperate.

Yay! Finally caught up! So I know CBR vs POR has been discussed a lot but could ya'll help me pick? I keep going back and forth! It will be me, my husband, my oldest daughter (7), and my twin girls (2). We will be celebrating my twins 2nd birthday while there on Sept 30-Oct 4! It's a shorter trip than normal for us but really looking for the most fun resort! We spend most of our time at MK and usually stay out late (at Mk, HS or downtown disney) so fast buses and short walks are best. We also really enjoy the 'nostalgic, Disney magic kiddie' themes that value resorts have so which of the two (POR or CBR) has more of a family feel? Which resort would you choose?
The kids pool at CBR is better than the one at POR but your girls might enjoy the RR at POR. The boat to Disney Springs is a nice plus for staying at POR. If you will be using the buses, I think I would go with POR.

Hmmm. I don't have time to run the numbers myself because I have to write a 6 page paper today :crazy2:

I just wanted everybody to know that this thread has been my motivation all day while writing my paper. The deal I made with myself was that for every 200 words written, I could read one page of posts. You guys certainly kept me motivated to write quickly! And I still couldn't keep up with everything! Now to catch up...
