~~ They're leaving the nest, sew it's time for a trip - or two - or three...~~ D~'s bag ~9/22 ~~

I admire your creativity, I have none. I could never make a bow let alone the bags you make, they look awesome. Our April trip is at CBR from 4/3-4/10, we are getting our annual pass on the April trip because we also have a magical deal for August, we are going 8/22-8/29 and staying at the GF, yippee. Our October trip is 10/9-10/16 at BWV and 10/16-10/18 at RPR at Universal, this is the year of Disney for us, so I love hearing about others planning and trips!

D,

The bow is awesome!! You're so creative!! Can you believe that Downton is over?? It was a great finale! It's sad that it's over though!

Enjoy the rest of your time at home! I hope you are able to spend time with everyone that you want to. :lovestruc
Thanks D! Yes I am!
20160305_123031.jpg
Love the bow. The design is so cute!!! The Mickey ice cream bar is my favorite part. I look forward to seeing what else you come up with in bow making in the future!

Yes glue guns are hot so you have to be careful. Crossing my fingers that you have learned your lessons and that it will go so much better and easier next time. Your new headband looks great even if it's a little big. I can't wait to see the next one you make.

I hope V gets well soon.

Next weekend I'm going on a peer support conference with the Cerebral palsy Association I'm a member off. I'm really looking forward to this because it always fun to meet friends again and meet people that struggles with some of the same things I do. I'm looking forward to it so much that I'm forgetting that I first have a lot of appointments during the week that I have to do first.

I know - I am such a goof sometimes... I wasn't expecting it to be quite that hot. LOL Thanks - it's quite big, I am definitely going to have to go smaller with the next one... but it was sure fun to do. ::yes::

Me too... She is a little miserable - not sure if she is going to school today or not?

This sounds like a lot of fun for you, but yes - don't forget all of your appointments, I sometimes do that too.

the hair bow looks great.

Thanks! :lovestruc

I love all the different colors and patterns that you used in your bow. I can see you wearing it to the MK on a party day, but not necessarily during the party.

That's too bad that Allison was teased about her new phone. Do all of the kids at school have phones now?

Yes - it's a bit too big for my taste... I love big hair bows - but this one is super sized, for sure. LOL I loved the idea of using the fabrics I am using in the bag for it though - that really worked out great!

She wasn't teased about this new phone yet - it was her old phones she was teased about. Yes - I think most/all kids have phones now. I honestly could not imagine trying to pick the girls up at dismissal with out a phone to navigate that zoo. LOL

Love the headband!! It is a little large and on a normal day I'd think it were strange to see out on the street...but at Disney? Anything goes!!!

Thanks - LOL - yes, it's very large.... I am not sure I could pull it off? :scratchin That's OK - I consider it practice and I think I'll try for a smaller one - I want to get a couple of different ribbons to work with too. :thumbsup2

That hair bow is SO cute! I love it! Is that a Mr. Potato Head arm holding a Mickey ice cream bar? Adorable! You are so creative! Too cute.

I'm so sorry V isn't feeling well. There is so much crud going around. My older daughter (21, in college in Utah) is recovering from the flu but the cough is lingering and it just won't go away. The doctor told her the cough might hang on for a few weeks. And my younger daughter (16, almost 17) had bronchitis a few weeks ago and is still coughing a bit, particularly at night. Same story from her doctor -- the cough might last a few weeks even after everything else was better. *Sigh*

You are so sweet to even try to keep everyone's families straight -- you're such a popular person here on the DIS and so many people follow your TRs that I'm amazed you can keep them all straight! Anyway...our phone adventure yesterday....Brie accidentally put her phone through the washer a few months ago and had been using an old iPhone 4 that we had on hand and it just wasn't working properly -- it would shut down on its own, took forever to send and receive texts, couldn't run her banking app and a few others, etc. She had insisted for months that it was fine and she could deal with it...but she is also driving and it gets snowy here, plus she has a job, and sports practice for school, and so we wanted her to have a reliable phone. But, unfortunately, I haven't found a "free upgrade" in ages -- we're with Sprint and used to get free upgrades every two years. Apparently everyone has stopped doing that now and so you have to either buy the phone outright, lease it, or purchase it on an installment plan. After much discussion, reviewing other cell phone service providers, etc., etc., etc., we decided to lease her new phone. I get a loyalty credit plus other discounts with Sprint so it will be $16 per month additional on our bill and she's going to pay that to us each month. Not a bad amount -- it's reasonable for her since she only works about 5 hours each Saturday and it was the best option of the ones we looked at. So she ended up with an iPhone 6s. She's very happy and kept thanking us over and over yesterday. I have to say, both of our girls are SO appreciative of the things we and others do for them, and neither of them are greedy or "entitled" -- they are truly appreciative. I love them so much!

Hahaha... Yes - it's a Mr. Potato Head arm... And the best part - I can change out any of his accessories that he's holding. LOL So, if I don't feel like a Mickey bar that day - I can switch it out with something else. LOL I think I need to get more arms? :scratchin

Such a bummer - I hope everyone in your house - and out of it is feeling better soon. V did get better - so I thought - for a good week or so, but now she is down again... It's looking like she is staying home from school today.

I am glad your dd was able to get the phone she wanted, and I am glad she was able to pitch in for it. I am sad that the "free upgrades" are gone... I totally understand that phone companies can't just give out a free $800 phone... But in the same breath - it's annoying that they have to cost so much in the first place. Paying it off in installments is almost the only way that people can afford them... Oh well - there is NO way I could exist with out my phone - I run a lot of my business from it, and I communicate with friends and family... My life would be a lot different with out it.

I just want to clarify - I don't mind that kids have Iphones and other expensive phones - but like clothes/shoes/cars/anything material... I don't like it when there are kids who put others down for not having those items... And that is just the reality of life. I seriously doubt that any of our children would be that way - or treat others that way. :lovestruc And for that matter - the kids who were giving Allison a hard time about her phone - well, they are just bullies - plain and simple... If it wasn't her phone- they'd find someone/something else to pick apart. I was just a bit salty about it... It's not as if we couldn't afford to go out and buy those things - we could - it's just that we chose to teach a lesson and make her save the $$... So, I was/am a bit annoyed within that lesson - there was that other element that she had to deal with... I guess it's part of growing up, but it's never easy being a parent, or a kid. :lovestruc

In the end - I am very happy and relieved that both of our children were able to get phones and now they can communicate with us and their friends. :lovestruc

Yes glue guns are hot. The head piece is cute but big. I'd never be brave enough to wear it or any other hairpiece.
Lg's are good phones. My other job at work is cell phones and I do sell quite a few of them. Although cell phone contracts are few and far between since the carriers switched to installment plans. Hopefully Allie has better luck with her phone. I've seen a lot of broken screens even with screen covers.
Sorry V isn't feeling well. I hope she gets better soon.
I'm supposed to go to the auto show later on today and then stop at Kohl's on the way home. Right now I have to straighten up the house and finish the wash.
Have a good day.
Liz

Hahaha... Yes - they are. It's a huge hair piece - and I don't think that I can pull it off either? :scratchin But I am definitely going to make a smaller version and try again... I think it could be really cute.

I do really like my LG... So far, Allison is disappointed in the camera in her phone - which I don't understand? I don't think the camera is that horrible. :scratchin

Thanks - I hope so too. She is staying home with me today.

I hope you had fun at the car show and at Kohl's yesterday. :lovestruc

I hope you have a great Monday Liz! :D

Hey D! Just reading along and having a lazy weekend as well. I should have worked out Saturday but was just not in the mood. And then DH and I went for Mexican food last night; I ate terrible (too much and so good) and 2 margs - yikes! Mexican food here in San Antonio is just too too good. Chips and salsa really do me in.

I love your new adventure with the headbands. I foresee new projects in your future. I am not crafty at all, and when the kids had projects in high school and we used the glue gun - OUCH - that thing would always be out to get me. I know you will get the hang of it quickly. Good luck with your Halloween bag! I cannot wait to see it.

Cell phones and kids - they need them but they are so expensive. Shane dropped his a while back, and spent over $100 of his own money to fix it and it worked for a few months then bam, it would work 50/50. The repair was out of warranty so he used a half broken phone for a while; then we went in halves to buy a new LG. He is happy with it and is taking very good care of it. Now Tyler has a broken phone and he went and ordered a refurbished one. I hope its okay. Glad to hear Allison has a reliable phone now, but it was a long, expensive road. She has Europe coming up quickly.

Hope V's project gets done soon; I really detest projects. And hope she starts to get better soon.

When do you get to reserve ADR's?

Have you put any more thought into your Target job?

How's your Dad?

Have a wonderful week D! Good luck on your bags (and headbands!). I will be checking in.

Hugs, Carol

I love Mexican food - it's my favorite and always my first choice. I try hard to stay away from the chips, because once I start I can't stop. I feel your pain. But don't feel too bad - today is a new day. :lovestruc

Yes - that darn glue gun - next time, I will wear pot holders or something? :lmao: I definitely want to try it again, but on a smaller scale.

It seems that phones are just a downward sprial... We just can't live with out them - I know I can't imagine life without mine. I hope Tyler is able to get a new phone soon... I highly recommend the LG. ;) Allison will have to buy a different phone when she is in Europe - BMTL will put her on their plan or will find a pay as you go type phone for her to use while she is there....

V was working on her project yesterday afternoon... I am going to encourage her to work on it all day today - even though she is home sick, she needs to get it done.

I will reserve ADRs sometime in April... It's coming quickly! :woohoo:

Still thinking on Target - I have not made any decisions...

Dad is doing OK - I think I am going up there this weekend? :scratchin I need to call him today to see what his plan is and if he wants visitors... If I go - I'll likely take V with me and get her some interstate driving experience.

Thank you - same to you Carol! :hugs:

Phew....all caught up again....I am so so bad at this.

Your plans for V's trip look great! Two breakfasts at the Wave is totally necessary

Sorry your motivation has been struggling. Do you think it could be because you haven't been able to run? You love running and it seems to motivate you even more. Maybe once spring comes and you can get back out there, maybe things will get back to normal??

Oh that headband!
I think you have promise with it....just a bit smaller dear!

Love you!

You are doing great! I know you are busy!

I agree... 2 breakfasts at The Wave are absolutely necessary... Not sure how we are going to pull off so many breakfasts? LOL

It could be the running - or the weather - or just me in general? :scratchin This week, it's supposed to be beautiful here - so I plan to get outside and enjoy the sun as much as possible. I am really looking forward to spring! :woohoo:

Hehehehe... I knew you'd love it!!! Be careful - or I'll send it to you! :scratchin

Love you too - miss you!!!! :lovestruc

I love the bow!!! What better place to wear an over the top bow than Disney!?

Thanks! LOL - I love OTT bows, but this one is massive... I do think I need to tone it down a bit. ::yes::

I admire your creativity, I have none. I could never make a bow let alone the bags you make, they look awesome. Our April trip is at CBR from 4/3-4/10, we are getting our annual pass on the April trip because we also have a magical deal for August, we are going 8/22-8/29 and staying at the GF, yippee. Thanks!

How exciting! And fun!!! :woohoo: This is the year of Disney for us too... Except 2 of our 3 trips are already done - which is sad for me... I'll have to PM you our October dates. :thumbsup2

You are staying as a few great resorts - that's for sure!!! I'd be soooo excited for BWV! :woohoo: I just love the theme there. And GF is gorgeous too! How exciting! I hope you'll check in after all of your trips and let me know how they went (if you don't decided to do a TR of your own...). ::yes::

D the bow is amazing! I think it's adorable.

Awww... Thanks! :lovestruc

D,

The bow is awesome!! You're so creative!! Can you believe that Downton is over?? It was a great finale! It's sad that it's over though!

Thanks!!! Eeek... No talking to me about Downton yet... I was so tired last night - I fell asleep half way through it.... So, I need to take some time this morning and watch the ending. Isn't that terrible??? I've waited for 2 weeks for this episode - and then I fall asleep. LOL :scratchin I am sure Josh was laughing as I was snoring away. LOL

Thanks D! Yes I am!

Love the bow. The design is so cute!!! The Mickey ice cream bar is my favorite part. I look forward to seeing what else you come up with in bow making in the future!

Thanks!! I am glad you like it!!! LOL - the best part is that I can change out the ice cream bar, and he can hold anything in his hand. :lmao: I think I need to buy more arms though. LOL I have a few bow ideas I want to try - but I don't want to invest a ton of $$ into them, ya know? I still get the most compliments on my Donald Ears - I wish I had Jennifer's magic touch to make those... Those would be great fun to make - IMO.

**************************************************************************************************

Soooo... Yesterday....

Believe it or not - I did make it up to my sewing room and I did actually work on the bag I was supposed to work on. I am not done with it yet - but it won't take me long to finish today.

Then, I even worked on my Halloween bag for a little while... I was able to get the applique drawn out, pieced and ready to stitch. I am very excited about this bag... I am hoping I can work on it a bit over the next few days and finish it up before the weekend. No guarantees - but that is my hope.

V is starting to plan her outfits too... She has some great ideas she is working on herself. And she also has a list of bag requests for me... Sigh. At least she carries my stuff. LOL

I watched some DA yesterday afternoon.

Then I went for a nice 3 mile walk with one of my neighbors - that was a lot of fun... We had a lot of catching up to do.

I made dinner and Josh came home from the lake - he had a good and productive trip up there.

I went upstairs to watch the finale of Downton... Yah - I was so excited for it, and I fell asleep half way through... So, now I need to watch the rest at some point today. I can't believe I was so excited and then I fell asleep... Figures. LOL

Today... I will work out right away.

I have a dentist appointment... Which I am not excited for. I lost a filling I just had done a couple of years ago - so I need to go in and get that refilled. I dislike dentists in a big way. Wish me luck. :lovestruc

Then I will come home and work for a bit and finish last week's bag... If I have time - I will finish DA too.

V has an eye appointment this afternoon - which she is going to, whether she feels well or not... She is having a hard time seeing clearly with her glasses on, so I suspect her prescription has changed... With her driving now - I feel it's necessary to get this taken care of right away.

Then I will come home and make supper... All the normal evening stuff.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!! Pixie Dust to all! :lovestruc

D~

Ugh! I'm getting a filling done today too! Not looking forward to it at all!

Have a great day!

I've fallen asleep during shows that I was really looking forward to watching, but not last night. I missed whatever the special show was that aired the hour before the Downton Abbey finale, but stayed awake for the entire show. I won't say a word about it until you get a chance to see it. I avoided all spoilers and I'm glad I did. :)

Good for you for doing a three mile walk. I was bad this weekend and didn't get out. I do better during the week when I do a lot more walking.

I just want to clarify - I don't mind that kids have Iphones and other expensive phones - but like clothes/shoes/cars/anything material... I am so with you on the whole cell phone thing. It kills me that they are so expensive these days when I can buy a tablet that does so much more...for less. Our family does not own or support ANY Apple products whatsoever. I think it's terrible that it seems each new phone requires a new adapter and accessories and we hate being locked into any one company product, so we own only PC and android devices at home. My daughter seems to be the ONLY one of her MIDDLE SCHOOL friends without an i-phone and it drives her nuts...but I refuse to cave on this. I buy my cell phones directly now, either on ebay or online somewhere, with NOT contracts on them and link them to my ATT plan. Right now I have a really nice Moto G 3rd Generation phone I bought directly from Motorola and it cost less than $200, then I gave my daughter my old Moto X phone, the last phone I had from ATT when I did contract phones. She just recently dropped it and despite the protector on it the screen shattered. However it still functions, we put a screen protector over the shattered glass screen, and she will continue to use it until she can afford another one because I think in her 2 or 3 years of cell phones this was phone number 4 for her. She is going to save up to buy her own now, as she should, but at least hers does function. I think it's terrible that kids (middle school is pretty bad) find anything to pick on, which is why I'm at least thankful my kids go to a middle/high school that requires uniforms, so one less thing to pick on them about.

LOVE the hair bow that you made and agree is it pretty big. We've done a few hair bows ourselves and it really is NOT easy at all so I commend you on that!

Enjoy your day and good luck at the dentist! Many I HATE those dental visits, even for just the cleaning stuff!

So true -- the kids that are going to give others a hard time will always find someone to pick on and something to pick on them about. Living where we do (wealthiest and most expensive county in the country -- we are definitely out of place here! LOL) there are always kids like that. I am SO grateful that our daughter has good friends who don't share that mentality and who are very grounded and down-to-earth in terms of all of that. There are so many more important things about a person besides what brand of clothing they wear, what kind of phone they have, and what kind of car they drive (or if they even have a car at all!). I'm grateful that our Brie has a good head on her shoulders and doesn't let her head get turned by that kind of stuff, and that she doesn't participate in it.

I'm excited to see how your Halloween bag turns out. What kinds of bag themes does V want you to make for her?

I can't wait to see you outfits and bags and what V comes up with.

I think it's wise to get V's eyes checked so she can see clearly when driving.

Good luck at the dentist today.

OK I can NOT WAIT to start reading your TR...Just scanned through the first page...you look like such a happy person! I just started planning our (probably) last trip as the 4 of us...because my kiddos are 21 and 15....so April we are doing it one last time! Cant wait to start reading your TR:D

Ooh Looking forward ot seeing what bag idea V has for her trip! Good luck at the dentist today - I hate going there too! At least you will have DA to look forward to later tonight.
Have a great day!

Look at me go! Two in a row!!!

I can't wait to see your Halloween outfit! And V's too.

3 mile walk?! I bet that felt good :)

Josh and I feel that this is a lesson that needs to be learned

BRAVO! You are being an excellent parent. Kids do need to learn these things and unfortunately they usually need to learn the hard way. There are plenty of parents who don't have their kids learn these types of lessons and then they are ill prepared for life.

I love the bow you made. I can't believe it's your first try! You did a fantastic job.

Ugh! I'm getting a filling done today too! Not looking forward to it at all!

Have a great day!

I hope yours went well? I hate going in for dental work - I don't mind cleanings, but dental work I hate. I was in a lot of pain yesterday - after the novocain wore off, but I seem to be OK this morning... We'll see, because when I was chewing dinner last night - I was having a "nerve type" pain every time I chewed... I am fearful that whatever was done, made it worse. I guess I'll find out when I eat breakfast?

I've fallen asleep during shows that I was really looking forward to watching, but not last night. I missed whatever the special show was that aired the hour before the Downton Abbey finale, but stayed awake for the entire show. I won't say a word about it until you get a chance to see it. Good for you for doing a three mile walk. I was bad this weekend and didn't get out. I do better during the week when I do a lot more walking.

Hahaha... Yah - I am quite notorious for it. It's rare that I can stay awake for an entire movie - it just puts me to sleep, even in a theater. LOL

I did see the ending last night... I have to say that I was a little disappointed - not for how it ended, but just that it was over. I was happy that everyone found a happy ending in their own way. I hope I didn't give up too much for others there.

I hope to get out today too... I really need to. I think part of the reason I am having issues with my eating and overall feeling good about myself, is because I am needing some Vitamin D?

I am so with you on the whole cell phone thing. It kills me that they are so expensive these days when I can buy a tablet that does so much more...for less. Enjoy your day and good luck at the dentist! Many I HATE those dental visits, even for just the cleaning stuff!

I agree - that is part of the issue - we do not support Apple products, for nearly the very same reasons... The changing of cords all of the time, the having to buy this or that to be compatible with other devices... I've always felt that Apple products were a money pit. However - we did buy V an Ipad2 several years ago for Christmas - and it's still going strong. She still uses it every day... So, that was definitely a good purchase.

The phone that the girls both had from BMTL was a Motorola Moto G (2nd generation) - we did want her to buy another one, it was a great phone for her and the camera was top quality, but because it was so cracked and had no connectivity - she was not hearing of another Motorola. Allison didn't understand - her sister has had NO issues with the same phone, it was because the screen was so badly shattered that she didn't have connectivity... Oh well - she seems OK with the LG.

High school seems to be much better than middle school was - at least here... I think it's only a few select individuals who are that way... I was still very disappointed for Allison, but she handled the situation well and told them where to take their opinion. ::yes:: LOL

Thanks... It went OK... I was in a lot of pain last night after the novocaine wore off... It also seems as if the dentist tapped into a nerve ending when he was drilling. I'll see how my face feels today - the whole right side was pretty sore last night. I am hoping it was just because he had to put a spacer between those teeth and it shifted them enough to make it hurt... I am not done having work done on this tooth - so we'll see...

So true -- the kids that are going to give others a hard time will always find someone to pick on and something to pick on them about. I'm excited to see how your Halloween bag turns out. What kinds of bag themes does V want you to make for her?

You are very right about that... I was so disappointed in those kids that were giving Allison a hard time though - It's about time they grew up. ::yes::

I am very glad your kids have friends like that... I definitely wouldn't say that the kids giving Allison a hard time were her friends - from what she said, they were classmates, but no one she hangs out with. Her actual friends were very good to her. :lovestruc

Good for Brie... I am glad to hear that. :lovestruc With you as her momma, it doesn't surprise me. :D

Me too - I am so excited for my halloween bag! :woohoo: Ack... I can't give up V's themes yet... I wish I could - but there is still time to change her mind. I will say though - she has been busy making a couple of props herself... Right now, we are trying to decide on a main color for her bag... We are having a very hard time with this part - usually it isn't so difficult, but it's V and she has pretty high expectations of her mother. LOL

Yuck! I'm not a fan of dentists either. Good luck with that today.

Thanks Ariana! It went OK - I am always fearful... I don't know why? I do like my dentist - he is a nice and friendly enough guy... I think I am more afraid of the bill. LOL I was in a lot of pain last night, after the novocaine started to wear off... I am feeling a bit better this morning - but I will know more when I am eating breakfast and chewing - I was having nerve pain while chewing dinner last night, and couldn't chew on my right side... Hopefully it's better today - or I may have to go back in sooner than I'd planned.

I can't wait to see you outfits and bags and what V comes up with.

I think it's wise to get V's eyes checked so she can see clearly when driving.

Good luck at the dentist today.

Thanks!!! I am pretty excited for all of them too! :woohoo:

I am glad we did... Her prescription didn't change too much - enough that she can keep her current glasses this year and get new prescription sunglasses with our insurance (which she needs for driving) - then get new regular glasses next year. Since - we only get 1 pair per year.

Thank you - I was in a lot of pain last night after the novocaine started to wear off... I am hoping that it's better today... I'll know more when I eat breakfast.

OK I can NOT WAIT to start reading your TR...Just scanned through the first page...you look like such a happy person! I just started planning our (probably) last trip as the 4 of us...because my kiddos are 21 and 15....so April we are doing it one last time! Cant wait to start reading your TR:D

Welcome!!! I am very happy to have you here! Thank you - I like to think I am happy, most of the time. :D Well, this PTR has 3 TRs coming from it... The first 2 TRs are done - so if you want to read those, the links are in my siggy. :lovestruc My final TR from this PTR will be in October...

Awww... It sounds like you have a bittersweet trip coming up too... I thought I would be so sad going into all of these trips - but I was surprised at how much fun I had with all of them... It was such a unique experience, and I was able to enjoy every moment... I am sure you will too!!!

So - tell me more, where are you staying? Where are you eating? What are you most looking forward to?

Ooh Looking forward ot seeing what bag idea V has for her trip! Good luck at the dentist today - I hate going there too! At least you will have DA to look forward to later tonight.
Have a great day!

Me too... We just need to decide on a color for the main fabric... We are having a hard time with this.

Thanks!!! I was in a lot of pain last night after the novocaine started to wear off... I am hoping it will be better today - I'll know more when I am eating breakfast.

I did finish DA last night... I was a little disappointed in the ending... Not for how it ended, but that it ended at all. LOL I was happy that all of the characters found their own version of a happy ending though. Hopefully I didn't give away too much for those who haven't watched it.

Thank you - same to you!!!! :lovestruc

Look at me go! Two in a row!!!

I can't wait to see your Halloween outfit! And V's too.

3 mile walk?! I bet that felt good

And there she is!!!! Two days in a row!!! :woohoo: Super proud of you!!!! :lovestruc

I am excited to get it all together - it should be a lot of fun! Once I finish the bag - I think I have it all done, except for altering the shirt - which I haven't decided on yet... :scratchin

It did feel good - really good... I plan to try and go again today/this morning. The weather is supposed to be really nice again today.

We try... LOL We don't always succeed - but we do try. :lovestruc It's not always easy - but she's been struggling with this phone issue for 9 months now, I am so relieved it's over - hopefully.

That is a scary thought isn't it? Kids who never have lessons taught and are not prepared for life... I sure hope I got all the major ones covered?

Thanks! I had so much fun making it! :woohoo: I still have some supplies I want to get for my next try - so it may be a while? I have a cart full of stuff on Etsy - it's not cheap... So, I am still trying to decide if it's worth the investment or not? And what I really want to do?

I hope you have a good day Debora! :D

*****************************************************************************************************

I had a pretty decent day yesterday - despite the dentist.

I worked out in the morning.

I went to the dentist... He numbed me up and cleaned out my chipped molar... Informed me that my best course of action with this tooth would be a crown... Otherwise - I will just have to have this filling replaced every few years. Sigh - crowns sound like something for a much older person. LOL They are mailing me an estimate for cost... It makes me a little nervous that it has to be mailed. I am sure it will be expensive. Anyways - I was in a lot of pain last night, after the novocaine started to wear off... I am hoping it was just because they had to put a spacer between those back two teeth to work on them, and my teeth shifted a bit, causing pain. I was feeling a bit of nerve pain while chewing dinner last night - so hopefully that part is gone. Otherwise I may have to go back in sooner rather than later.

I came home and went straight up to work - I did finish last week's order. Then I was able to work on my Halloween bag for a while - I was able to get a good portion of my applique stitched. :woohoo: It's turning out very nicely and i am very excited about it.

Then V and I went to town, to pick up Allison from school. She dropped us off for V's eye exam, and took the car to work.

V's eye exam went well - her prescription only changed slightly - so she is able to keep her glasses this year, but use our insurance to get prescription sunglasses, which she needs for driving. She found a pair that she likes - but we wanted to shop around first.

Josh picked us up about an hour later - since he had to pick up his new glasses anyways.

Then we went to the mall, so V could look at more sunglasses... She never found anything - so we will go back to the eye Dr. today and order the ones she did like there.

We went out for Mexican for dinner last night - I did not make a good food choice, and I am feeling it this morning. Sigh.

I came home and I finished Downton Abbey... I am not happy with the ending - not for how it ended, but because it ended in the first place. I am glad they ended it on a high note though... It was such an excellent series and one I will watch again and again. :lovestruc

Today... I have a busy day ahead.

I will work out - It's a heavy lifting day... I also plan to get out to enjoy the weather for a walk - probably this morning, so I can get it done? :scratchin

Then I will work upstairs all day.

I have to pick V up to go order her sunglasses and I have a meeting afterwards.

That's all...

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!! Pixie Dust to all!!!

D~

I hope yours went well? I hate going in for dental work - I don't mind cleanings, but dental work I hate. I was in a lot of pain yesterday - after the novocain wore off, but I seem to be OK this morning... We'll see, because when I was chewing dinner last night - I was having a "nerve type" pain every time I chewed... I am fearful that whatever was done, made it worse. I guess I'll find out when I eat breakfast?

I am lucky it feels pretty good and no issues, but I have another filling she wants to do in 2 weeks. I haven't had any work done in years so I guess it was time? Ugh

I am so sorry your tooth isn't feeling great that's really stressful! Hopefully it's better today!

Looking forward to seeing the Halloween bag!

I adore your giant Mickey bar headband :) and I love that you made it so you can change out accessories!! I bought a build your own potato head about 10 years ago and I am such a child--every trip I rifle through the bins to see if there are any arms or accessories I don't have yet :)

The weather is getting PERFECT for running all of a sudden!!! Living in Chicago, I rarely run at all during the Winter...because it's cold but also I am so not graceful. Icy sidewalks and running do not mix well for me! :crutches:

Yesterday, I got a good run in...well it was a good 3 miles, pretty ugly running, but I'll take it and it felt good to get out there. Hopefully you're able to get back on the running wagon soon!!

Oh boy, sorry to hear about your dental issues. When I went in for my cleaning a few weeks ago they showed me on my x-ray that one of my thirty something year old filings has a big crack in it. He wants me to get a crown, too... and yes, it is VERY expensive. I have put it off for now in favor of getting Jillian's wisdom teeth taken care of. So yeah, I definitely feel your pain!

I loved the bow, but yes, it was large. LOL! I am confident you are going to end up making something spectacular!
