Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

Quick question, I currently have a suite reserved at All Star Music, but after reading some reviews, I am not sure how comfortable my 6 foot son is going to be in a pull out couch, For about $40 less (total) we can get two rooms at Pop . My son and his girlfriend would share one room and my husband and myself in the other. Any thoughts?

We stayed in a ASMu suite with two grown sons. We took turns sleeping on the pullouts. My husband and I took the couch one night. We fit but it wasn't very comfortable. We didn't try the pull out chairs- it may have been better with one person on each. We prefer two rooms at POP so we have four beds. We request connecting rooms and have always received them at POP. We didn't get them once at CSR, but were able to move two days later.

I am from the U.S. Probably the room just became available and they hadn't sent it yet. I just wanted to let others know that it's good to check in case you need the room for some reason.

I'm also from the U.S. and didn't get a text about our room on our last trip in December. Our two previous trips we had gotten the text. I think it can be hit or miss. I'm sure it is dependent on someone entering something into the system and that probably gets forgotten on occasion.

Thanks so much! That makes me feel so much better about sending down a box. We had shipped to Pop before and never had trouble but this last time to All Star Sports had me rethinking doing it again. I appreciate you reporting back, and love that it showed on your account when they checked you in.



So are the prepackaged foods (like the donuts and snack cakes etc) no longer available in the food section of the gift shop? I know in October at All Star Sports they still had them in gift shop but not the food court. Thanks!

Okay, I did find both bags and boxes of Entemann's donuts in the gift shop but they don't get many and apparently often sell out. That's why I wasn't finding them at first. So you may or may not find them depending on how many other people are looking for them as well!!

I am wondering if there is still an option for a roll away cot in these rooms? We got the two doubles option but DS can't stand having little sister in same bed LOL. Last time at an all star, I was able to request....fingers crossed it will be available again!

On the ground floor, rooms 5101-5103 and rooms 4170-4172.

Preferred pool view rooms on the ground floor are 5161 thru 5172 in bldg 5 and 4101 thru 4112 in bldg 4. This is directly from a room assignor. The rooms you referenced are classified as preferred rooms....not preferred pool view.

Waking up on day 2, after a very long and wonderful day at MK. My only complaint would be it's very noisy, very early, lol, but that's because people are up and heading to the parks or home early. I've not heard any noise from the rooms on either side, just people walking and dragging suitcases by our room.

We've had 2 dinners at the food court and both were very good. If I had to pay out of pocket, I would be in sticker shock, which makes the dining plan amazing!

We have a cot we purchased at Walmart, it's collapsible, it fits perfectly between the 2 beds.

Has anyone requested and gotten a box fan at POP? I need the white noise and circulating air to sleep.

We have - we request each time and I don't believe we have ever been turned down. Maybe for the first night, but I can't recall.

It looks just like ours! It fits perfectly between the beds. It would also fit in front of the window.

When we were there two months ago a few machines took cash (in the 60's section) but most took credit cards. I'm not sure about the other laundry rooms.

Yes you can use Disney gift cards to pay off room balance and room charges. We are currently doing that. Every day we check our charges and pay the balance.

Yes there is an iron and ironing board in the rooms.

If you like sleeping with a fan you can request one. It is first come first serve with them.

I am doing a room only at POP on my arrival day, April 4th. Checking out and checking right back into POP on April 5th for my remaining 6 days of my vacation. Have never done a room only ressie before. Anything I should be aware of? Have done on-line check-in for both ressies at POP. Also, How does the room only affect my selection of magic bands and the luggage tags that will be coming with my DME ressie?? I picked a yellow magic band for my room only stay and a red one for my re-check-in at POP on the 5th, so will my luggage tags be the yellow ones or red ones?? Sorry for so many questions

Preferred rooms don't face the lake. Rooms at Pop are considered preferred because they are closer to the food court/main building, not because they have a better view. Is there a chance you could switch it to a standard room? You'd save some money and then you could request lakeview which are all standard.

Thank you! All the standard rooms are taken so I guess preferred it is. I'll just go back and pick a century for a request rather than Lakeview.

Actually I would call and pay off balance with gift cards before your trip. They are often putting the remaining balance for the room on your credit card before you get there to check in.
