Disney Gift Card Deals

Just an FYI and not related to Disney cards at all but it has been mentioned on this thread...I went into Lowe's this morning to use $450 worth of gift cards I bought from Raise (could be used online or in the store). The cashier told me that the 'string of numbers' on the gift card were part of a fraud alert they had received from corporate. He called a manager over who tried to call Raise. She was on hold for about 15 mins before she gave up and told me they could not accept the gift cards. I came home and tried to use them online and it would not accept them. I called Raise and began the process for a refund. Apparently, Lowe's changed their policy (as of Jan 7th) and will not accept these store credits anymore. Who knows if Target will follow suit?!?! Seems retailers might be trying to crack down on this.

Can you use a gift card to purchase Disney gift cards at Sam's or Walmart?
I have done that at Sam's routinely online. You can use either Sam's or WalMart gc on the Sam's site. Though I remember reading earlier in this thread that WalMart may be moving to stop this. Have heard any updates on that though.

I know that Target occasionally runs out of the Disney gc's. I went to check if they are still out, and they are. It says 'visit store to purchase' and 'shipping not available'. Just wondering, is that what it usually says when they are sold out of the cards?
This is a change. I noticed the same thing. This has me a little nervous as well.

Trying to add my eGift cards to the Target app on an android but it isn't working. I enter the gc number and at the last digit the screen disappears It doesn't ask me for am access code. And I never got a text. Are mobile gift cards a separate thing from gift cards added directly to target.com? If so, can the customer service desk at target convert these to mobile gift cards for me?

Great! I thought you could try to put it in your basket and it would say "It is out of Stock" or some variation of that. I don't remember it being blocked from even attempted. In any case, I see $100 ones are back online.

Looks like 100 cards are back in stock.

There is a huge thread on this on slickdeals.net.

I placed an order just 2 days ago (8th) with the erasers, and I DID receive the ebates cash.

Side note: ebates is offering a $25 bonus on referrals (referred person has to sign-up via your link and make a $25 purchase within a year). Nice extra chunk of change!!

Looks like it might just be the printed ecards that are a problem. Is that what yours were?

I just tried ordering and none are in stock. They must not have had too many if they are out again already!

Yes, I had bought the ecards that were supposed to be valid in store and online. But they would not work either place. The Raise person said all Lowes will be physical cards from now on.

Thanks so much for the heads up on this! I'm glad I got my toilet before this took affect! :rotfl2:
Going the Raise route was a fantastic bargain.....sad to hear that is over for this one retailer.

looks like both the $50 and $100 cards are out of stock at target now ... Anyone know how much it takes for them to come back? I have been buying them with my earned giftcards and i try and buy them right away so i don't have any temptation to buy something else from target lol!!

The 100s were in stock this morning and I got all but one that I needed and now they are both out of stock again. They were both out of stock yesterday and then this morning the 100s came back in for just a short while. I think it is hit or miss. Just keep checking :)
