The lost and found items throughout the entire complex with eventually make it to Central Lost & Found at the base of the monorail at TTC. The number for that is 407- 824-4245 I lost my glasses the 1st time we went through bag check at EPCOT ... we checked regularly over the course of the 2 weeks. I called about 2 weeks after we got home and they had only just shown up. Sent them to me no prob. They will keep items like a blanket for up to 30 days from the time it gets to them. I would suggest calling and giving a very detailed description, if it shows up they'll ship it to you.

Thanks. My sister had been calling the resort because that's who she'd been dealing with and was told yesterday to not bother calling again because it had not been found and they'd take care of it if it was. I feel bad she's a wreck and my niece keeps asking when Mickey is going to send her blanket back to her.

Maybe been discussed before but I'm on my mobile... Has anybody who went straight to their room (skipping "check in") ever received an upgrade? I am secretly hoping for an upgrade to king as we booked a two queen room and it's just me and my husband.
I can't help but feel like there's less chance of pixie dust when your just a name on the computer screen.

Plan not to get an upgrade and then if you do you got some pixie dust. We booked our trip before we knew the bridge was out and so we were fine with most sections. Once the bridge went down we knew that it was going to be too much walking for my dad just to go to the food court. We tried to get our room switched after we got our text but they said it was all booked up.

We will be doing a short 2 night stay at cbr in dec. This will be our first time at cbr. trying to decide which bldg to request. We have a pool view room booked. Just wondering what bldg would be best to request. We will have a car so being close to the main bldg or bus stop is not necessary. It will be 3 adults and 2 children 6&7. Thanks.

I am assuming that the OP is not booked Preferred. Half of Martinique and all of Trinidad North are Preferred. So unless you have a King Bed or a Water View room booked, requesting a preferred location is pointless.

@MamaMagoo The following locations are very close to OPR and are Non Preferred:

Matinique 21, 22 and 23
Barbados 14, 15 and 16

Thanks!

Leaving for CBR tomorrow! Looking forward to our Magical Trip and seeing/meeting any fellow Disboarders', feel free to say Hi!

Me too! ^5 for tomorrow people! There seems to be a few of us. :)
Woohoo! We are driving down tomorrow, too. Say hi if you see me!
(We really should have some kind of Disboards button or something so we can spot each other easier!)

Can you get park maps at the resort? I'd like to have them prior to my park visit to plan our day (I know there are ones online but I'd like to be able to see the official maps). Thanks!

Yup! You can get them at the Custom House, at the Concierge desk at OPR, just inside the front door to OPR on the wall and at the counter of the gift shop.

We got back Wednesday evening. Still going through Disney withdrawal, but I thought I'd share my thoughts about the resort.

This was our second time staying at CBR. The resort is beautiful and relaxing and the remodel is lovely. This time we were in Barbados (1326 no murphy bed), which was a bit of a walk from OPR when you are already exhausted from the parks. In 2009 we were in Aruba, building 51 and with the bridge open it seemed to be a shorter walk (of course it could have just been the fact that I was younger and weighed less:P)

The rooms: The only complaint I have about the remodel is the sink height. My DD5 could barely reach, even standing on the bottom shelf. Mousekeeping kept the rooms clean, and the beds were pretty comfortable, but after a couple days, my lower back was not happy. I've heard others say their rooms were warm, but ours was always cold.

The food: not a fan of the quick service food. We ate there three times. The omelette was decent, and the kids liked their Mickey waffles, but the biscuits, french toast and eggs :crazy2:. This wasn't limited to just the resort, Disney quick service breakfast is sub par. Had Dinner at QS once, burger was dry, can get better at any fastfood chain. Now Shutters was DELICIOUS! The char crusted stake was a favorite and the bread pudding is amazing:cloud9:! Wasn't planning on going there, but soooo glad we did!

The pool: We attempted to go to the main pool once, but found it was closed due to poop, and not the "Baby Ruth" variety.... So we had a quick dip in the quiet pool. It was nice, but DD5 didn't like it much because she could barely reach the bottom of the pool so we didn't stay long.

EMS (yes, the tradition meaning): I hope you never have to call EMS while at Disney, but if you do, this is the resort you want to be at (right across the street). So on our second evening DD wasn't feeling well, so she and DH went back to the room for a nap. when they woke up, DH called to say she felt a little warm, so I suggested he give her a children's Advil chewable (she's taken ibuprofen since infancy). She immediately starts screaming that her throat burns, water makes it worse, still screaming, says it hurts to breath:eek:. DH freaks out, calls me at Epcot, I tell him to call the front desk and ask about first aid. I rush back to the room, which took maybe 15-20 min. By the time I got there, the medic is already finishing up with her. Apparently, a tiny piece of the chewable got stuck in her throat because it was dry and cause the "burning" feeling:faint:. Whew! DH said EMS arrived in less that 5 min after he talked to the person at the front desk. She was fine! but something else to note, no charge for EMS! Apparently Disney doesn't charge for their EMS services:wizard:! So I'm not sure if proximity to EMS and Fire services is considered a perk of the resort, but we thought so!;)

Smoke: Speaking of fire, smokers, please don't throw your butts off the balcony or into the mulch! One night we kept smelling smoke or burning outside our room, but couldn't find anything. The next morning it was still there, called the desk a second time, this time they found a cigarette butt someone through in the mulch which was smoldering. I like things that remind me of rides, but the burning of Rome scene from Spaceship Earth is not one I want to relive at the resort!

Scary about needing the EMS (and not extra magic hours).......but good to know.....
and duh about flicking cig butts. Some people just don't think!

I did online check in so I technically don't have to go to the front desk right? They can just text me my room
#? But if they pre-assign the room # before we even get there, is there a way to request a joining room w family traveling w us?

Do you have two separate reservations? If so, I'd suggest that you contact Disney Travel and ask that they "link" the two reservations. Tell them that you are traveling with the XYZ family (you should have the lead person on the reservation's name and their reservation number when you call) and that you'd like to be in rooms next to each other. Or are you wanting connecting rooms? Adjoining rooms are those next to one another and connecting rooms actually have a room that is connected with a door.

We have traveled with up to three other families and have never had an issue linking all of the reservations (even when arriving on different dates).
