Brady Suspension Reversed!!

just because it wasn't proven, doesn't mean he didn't do it. we all know he did it, just like we all know oj did it. its over. time for some football.

WOW do you have skewed view of the importance in the world. Really comparing an allegation of letting air out of 1 ball(because that was all it was in the end) to a man who almost decapitated 2 people & brutally inflicted numerous stab woulds - yeah they are on par. You might want to rethink that comparison

just because it wasn't proven, doesn't mean he didn't do it.

In fact, the judges ruling did not make any verdict on wrongdoing or innocence by Tom. My understanding is that he ruled Goodell lacked the authority to suspend Brady, so the ruling was really more about Goodell.

But I'm definitely in agreement that it is time for some football!!

Granted, not 1 of Tom's finest moments. But, she did get the baby and a Visa commercial out of the relationship.

I think I'm one of the very few people that thinks he traded down. (Of course - not very far down)

It's a bit tiring to hear the constant accusations of cheating. There is no hard proof. I believe it was said that it was 'probable' that Brady knew of any under-inflation...probable. I truly believe that if he had known of any under-inflation of game balls, he would have taken a fine and been done with it. I like him, I truly do. But....I'm not blinded by the man and his skills. If there had been some hard proof of his knowledge and complicity, then I would have been on board with a deserving punishment. No one, not one single player, is above the 'law'.
But, nothing was proved, other than he probably knew. Would you send a man to the electric chair on a 'probably' charge? I doubt it. Tom Brady has always played fairly.....I have to think that being accused of being a cheater is what drove him to refuse to settle.

I'm a fan, but not one who fails to see shortcomings. I get tired of those that continue to beat their 'cheater' drums....when even other teams feel it's a stupid argument/assessment, it may be time to move on. Seriously......one game ball, slightly under-inflated. When replacement balls were brought in, the score went through the roof....many would have us believe that Brady felt that an under-inflated ball would provide better play. Better play was certainly not the case now, was it?? Nothing was proved (doubt there was anything to prove)...the NFL looks stupid. It's time to let it go.

She didn't get pregnant by herself. Though the blind devotion to him is amusing, he's still a cheater with no integrity.

No she didn't and he is a good father to Benjamin. Just go watch the SB parade who do you think was front & center with him - OH yeah his 1st son. He should have stayed with someone because she got pregnant? Does that make me horrible because I left my xDH when i was pregnant? Oh I should have stayed with someone I don't love - yeah makes sense to me.

And no he is not a cheater ask the FEDERAL JUDGE!!!

He didn't have to flat out dump her - cold turkey.

I would have been much more considerate and had a transition period. Maybe have weekdays with Bridget and weekends with Gisele then gradually spend an extra night a week with Gisele so that by the end of the pregnancy I would be only be spending 2 nights a week with Bridget. Then I'd spend only 1 night a week with Bridget until the kid turns 18.

See ladies, not all guys are complete heels. ;)

I was referring to your comment that she got pregnant on purpose to keep him around. They were already broken up when she found out she was pregnant, as you like to keep reminding everyone. My comment has nothing to do with whatever you chose to do in your personal life. The FEDERAL JUDGE didn't rule on whether Brady is a cheater, he ruled on the ineptness of the NFL.

CELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL-ebrate good times... COME ONNNNNN!!!!!

Suck it:

Felger
Mazz
Irsay
Kravitz
Harbaugh
Jones

And double freedom rockets to the man of the hour... Roger Goodell

You forgot Tanguay. He's been ridiculing anyone (Minihane) who thought the judge would rule for Brady.

See you on the new B's thread.

Wait a minute, so he said the head of the NFL doesn't have the authority to suspend a player? If that is what they are going off of, I would like to know how much money this cost the Pats under the table.

Apparently if you make the evidence disappear, it didn't happen.

One of Berman's key points was that Brady did not receive the proper advance notice to be disciplined by the NFL and information of the kind of penalties he could receive.

Per Berman: "The Court finds that no player alleged or found to have had a general awareness of the inappropriate ball deflation activities of others or who allegedly schemed with others to let air out of footballs in a championship game and also had not cooperated in an ensuing investigation, reasonably could be on notice that their discipline would (or should) be the same as applied to a player who violated the NFL Policy on Anabolic Steroids and Related Substances."

In his 40-page decision, Berman mentioned the league's improper denial of Brady's right to cross-examine NFL general council Jeff Pash, who was a co-lead investigator along with Wells. Because Pash was able to "review a draft of the Wells Report" and provide written comments and edits, it would have been in Brady's best interest to question him. The NFL opted not to on the grounds that Pash provided no substantive role in the Wells Report findings and that any edits or comments he made had no impact on the final result.

Per Berman: "It is logical that he would have valuable insight into the course and outcome of the Investigation and into the drafting and content of the Wells Report. It is also problematic to the Court that there was no specification by Goodell as to the ways Pash's testimony would have been 'cumulative.'"

He's only got a handful of games left in him. He's too important to allow a little cheating to keep him off the field.

Plus he's suffered enough. Dumping a pregnant ex-girlfriend so you can hook up with a supermodel is a lot more stressful than people think. ;)

Cheaters never prosper. Oh wait.

Nobody was comparing the severity of the two. Nobody. Moreover, nobody was equating the severity of the two. Nobody. He just said just because someone gets off, doesn't mean they didn't do it and used OJ as an illustration of that.

I like the Pats, like Brady.
That aside, I think he is getting off with no penalty for something that he was indeed a part of. Why else would he destroy his cellphone when it was requested as part of the investigation?

I see it in context now. Thanks for the quotes.

Well maybe the NFL should have had one of their key witnesses/Pasch available instead of denying him to the NFLPA to be cross examined. Funny when you hide a witness it kinda makes the judge pissed off.
