MDE down for anyone else?

well its down for us too I was just going to cancel a christmas eve illuminations dessert party as I reserved it thinking it was a good idea now there are no seats I am seeing and sounds overpriced its not like we'd get christmas themed desserts and fancy stuff it looks pretty neanderthal. This is the third trip this year and I keep hoping things will improve with this system. Not long ago it was fun to go to Disney before this magic band crap.I could adjust to the magic band if it ever worked consistently I cant believe I have spent this kind of money and keep doing it for the kind of return in service and quality I cant believe others are continuing to do it too now I know I am hard headed and take awhile to figure it out cause I am addicted to Disney but its about over for me so I cant imagine an average Joe or Jane dealing with this for much more.:sad2:
 
I just can't believe this. It gets worse every day! We will be there Wednesday & I just pray something like this won't happen while we are there. I mean I hate it that it is happening now too! I have friends there. The wait for space was 180 minutes earlier today. Was this typical summer crowd or them not being about to access fp+? This is really unacceptable. People spend so much on these vacations. Maybe my family should have just went to the beach this year! Needing Pixie Dust and lots of it at WDW now.
 
MDE web site and app are down for me. I have worked in IT for almost 20 years, and if we ever had outages like Disney does, heads would roll.

I cannot understand how a company of this size has such a seemingly hapless, bumbling group in charge of its public-facing technology.

Besides the MDE problems this week, I have had to report missing photos from our Memory Maker EVERY SINGLE DAY. Some have eventually turned up, but those we wanted most (Space Mountain, Splash, and Summit Plummet) are nowhere to be found. It's inexcusable to have these ongoing "glitches".

Disney technology has sucked for years, which is why so many people were so wary of the MM+ and FP+ idea.

As has been shown over and over, our fears have been confirmed.

When I saw Space Mountain was 180 I also noticed Splash was down and another reader said 7DMT was evacuated. These items along with the FP issue probably sent everyone to Space.
 
I have been up for over a week trying to organize and book everything. Printed out and even took screen shots, but if I lose all my fast passes I don't know what I'm going to do. This system is idiotic too much advance planning no spontaneity left when you could just go to the park and plan out your day according-ling. Having to change plans around cause when you are finally able to book your fast passes times don't work with schedule. Popular fast plus attractions not available or your dining that you booked 180 days in advance doesn't coincide with your fast pass plus. I say get rid of fast passes all together go back to extra magic hours in the morning only, and if you want to ride you just have to wait your turn It use to work in the pass I don't see why its a problem now.
 
I keep checking but haven't seen any of my reservations or FP appear. I am starting to get a bit anxious about this...this morning I just figured technical difficulties but it's many hours later. :eek:
 
We just got back to Pop from AK. I didn't realize the system was down until I tried to use the app to switch a FP. The guy next to me in FOTLK told me it was a global outage. I had a screen shot of my plans so I knew what mine were. Our bands did work at the rides. Got green Mickeys all day.

When we were going on the safari this afternoon (with a FP) I asked what return time they were currently passing out. At 1:30 they were passing out cards with a 3:35 return time.

The SB wait on EE was 30 minutes. Kali has been down all day. Sure would have felt good. I've been handling the heat fine all week but today was unbearable.

Enjoying the air-conditioning before heading to dinner at Sanaa.
 
Some fast pass check points at ride entrances can tell you when you next fast pass+. Toys Story Mania could not. Muppet vision 3d could.

Charging with Magic Band seems to work. I see people using it.

We could not buy Olaf limited magic band. They could not link them to an account.
Some were having success linking with cards instead of bands.

We go see Tampa Bay play tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully everything will be sorted by to tomorrow evening.

They did sell an LE 5000 Olaf band to us. They said it's in the link it later mode.

Totally agree but stuff happens I'm an IT guy and believe in a backup so I do a screenshot.. Is Disney IT dept. the worst I have ever seen?? Sure is... I lived through the infamous UT ticket not linking issue back in oct. Took Disney IT 3 weeks to fix me. That being said MB MDE is not going anywhere anytime soon. Yes you can speak with your wallet but that doesn't seem the case as they a raking in $$$$$$$.
 
After reading this thread, I logged in to MDE and printed off all of my confirmation ADRs and room reservations, as well as, a copy of all of our FP+ reservations.

I have become too dependent on technology lately. Now I have a hard copy. Whew.

With two other families traveling with me (one that has never been to WDW) it would be a disaster to loose all of my planning in the last 45 days! FP+ can be replaced...not my ADRs. I've had those suckers booked since 180.
