Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort - 2014 Roll Call!!!

Following this thread and getting excited as to the great feedback about HHI!

We would probably do 5 nights at HHI and wanted to do either Charleston or Savannah for 2 nights...Will be flying in and out of Savannah airport...

I have heard that Charleston is a beautiful city to visit and the surrounding area...

If we are "beach lovers" does anyone know of any GREAT beaches to visit for the day while visiting Charleston? Or conversely, any GREAT BEACH RESORTS around Charleston that we could stay and visit the city of Charleston?

Wild Dunes is a great Charleston area beach resort and an easy drive down to HH from there.

If you are flying in and out of Savannah then you should stay in that wonderful city. Lots to do and some great places to eat.

You can fly in Charleston and drive to HHI then coming back to the Charleston stay in that city for a bit. Love Charleston!!!

Lots of driving from HHI to Charleston and then Charleston to Savannah.

Just a suggestion as we have done it!

Either city you will have a blast!!!

2 BR condo is appealing...Never hurts to do some research and start the planning process...That's the fun part for me!

We are HERE!!!! Sort of..... We are checking in to Disney's hilton head island resort tomorrow morning but we are JUST off the island at a hilton garden for the night. I can't wait to get to the resort! Hope to see some DISers there.

Have a great time. We were at HHI's 4th of July's activities 2 years ago. From opening flag ceremony to the fireworks at night, it was a great day!

Just booked a 5 night trip For HHI in a 2 bedroom checking in Sept 20th. Hopefully there are still plenty of things going on during that time. We have an almost 4 year old, 2 year old, and 9 month old. Hope we have fun!

The closest mini-golf to the resort is Pirate's Island. But Adventure golf is not very far away - a car ride north a few minutes.

We've played both and have enjoyed both. But Pirate's is our more favorite, themed very nicely.

I don't recall seeing one. I know they have glasses and coffe cups, as well as paper plates, and plastic spoons/forks.

If you want to make kool aid for the fridge I would pack a plastic container than can be closed.

Recent news talks more about North Carolina and Outer Banks..

So sad for so many trying to spend beach vacations during July 4th weekend!

Hope that the hurricane takes another "track" and the coast is spared! Warnings all the way up to Marthas Vineyard and Nantucket!

We're here now. Sitting outside in the sun. There was some cloudiness this morning when I went out for my run, but it has long since passed. It has brought a nice strong breeze.

Looks like the tropical storm has bypassed hhi entirely.

We are here now too sitting at the Big Dipper pool. It's starting to get windy and cloudy but I've been hearing the storm isn't going to really come through here. What were hearing is light rain but not a lot.
