Hi all just checking in from the Poly. DW and I left the kids at home and are celebrating our anniversary. Hope all is well. Have to run the volcano pool is calling.

Happy anniversary to you and Mrs. Chill. Have a great time and let us know how it went.

I think any kid that dates your daughter may have to be doubly careful, doesn't she carry a shiv? :lmao: ;)

She will cut you. Mostly with her icy wit.

The end game is for them to be self-sufficiently out of the house. Unfortunately,it's a part of life.

Nothing wrong with that. If she moves away, it better be someplace cool so I have a free place to stay when I vacation.

Buy beer in mass quantities now, hops prices have taken a huge jump, it will not be long before the price of beer is raised, could go up anywhere from $1-$4 a six pack, depending on the beer (micobrew will be the hardest hit:scared1:)

a few weeks ago bacon took a hit, it is now up around $2 across the board:scared1:, cheapest bacon here now is $4.99 on sale and a lot of companies are moving to a 12oz pack:rolleyes1

If we are going to tax subsidize things, it really should go first to bacon and beer. Keep those prices left low. :lmao:

That's why I denied any of DD's attempts to have a Chuck E Cheese birthday, they stopped serving beer jk

I fully agree with you Norm, I've been to kids parties with margaritas and beer for the parents but prob in the case it would be frowned upon, but I'll hold on to hope though.

I carried my flask of bourbon to many a birthday party.

The last couple of parties we have had I served beer & premixed bottle drinks, our son goes to a Catholic school and the response has been positive:thumbsup2, the parents have been appreciative since they are also at the parties for a few hours, I didn't know if it would backfire or not (was expecting some up tight attitudes) but it seems like the parents have great time and we now have a good sized click where the kids and parents have play dates all the time:thumbsup2, you just can't go overboard:rolleyes1

Nothing says you mean business more then using a shopping cart at the liquor store:worship:

I served alcohol as well. My family is Catholic and it is no big deal. My wife's family doesn't approve (of alcohol or me), so that is when I smuggle the flask. Bourbon makes all parties way better.

Good morning fellow dads, I woke up around 2 this morning only to discover DD did not close the lid on her hamsters cage all the way so I searched for an hr and set up traps, so hopefully we can find her this afternoon.

Just don't serve fried hamster tonite for dinner. :lmao:

Let me know when you want to swim with sharks. I'll record it and we will split the $10,000.

After enough beer, I'll try most anything once. :faint:

Well, considering the fact that DW is one of those nappers... :rolleyes1 :

I blame my dds for most of my behaviors. I eat too many cookies because my children need them in the house. :lmao:

Well despite the Lost Hamster Drama, have added Disney Magic to our Oct trip, even though it's a short simi 3 day trip, when we get home on that Sunday we will be headed back out to see Disney On Ice: Frozen so a slight way to continue Disney after getting home.

Side note: we are home now, no sign of the hamster and I may be fearing the worst.

He's drinking your beer? :confused3

300 miles down. 450 miles to go. Driving daily to campus is taking its toll. The reimbursement checks are nice, but I'm getting too old for this ....... :drive:

They mooch of us for 18 - 21 years, they can return the favor with some vacation lodging.

Good news on the added Disney magic. Bad news on the hamster.

Silly Randall, bourbon is for hamsters. :stir: :lmao:

Saw a really cool Tshirt today that read

Everyday Thousands Of Innocent Plants Are
Killed By Vegetarians.
Help End The Violence.
EAT BACON

I'm not doing well on the self sufficient part. Mine still think the toilet paper roll fairy comes in the night.:headache:

I'm planning on living in your yard so they can visit me there.

Nice plan and don't worry about the hamster. It either left or it is still there. If it is still there you will either catch it or find it by the smell in a few days.

Safe travels. When I complain about the road time my Dad reminds me I'm getting paid for drinking coffee and listening to the radio.

It may be time for you to "find" your hamster relaxing in a pet store... Or at least one that looks similar, :-)

Happy Anniversary!!

Morning guys

Morning Duck, and everyone else out there. Not going to be a good day today. Have to drop the kid off to start her internship and I am headed to the dentist. Tooth extraction time. Lucky me.

Good win by the Heat last night.

That's a campaign I can support.

I'm not doing so well with either. I just said it was the end game.

Safe travels. When I complain about the road time my Dad reminds me I'm getting paid for drinking coffee and listening to the radio.

Not complaining. There is much more difficult work. I used to be able to drive forever. Now, I'm starting to get fatigued at the end of the 1st hour.

Well, the internship thing seems like a good thing. But shouldn't she maybe drop you off at the dentist and then drive herself to her internship? I mean the tooth extraction part kind of sucks, but you might at least get some good drugs out of it. :rotfl2::rotfl:

Stupid Heat. Stupid LeBron... :headache:

This Oct? We're thinking of starting our trip next Oct with a 3 night cruise, then doing a few days at the parks

good luck with the hampster!

Please make sure my seat over near the bar is still reserved and that no one is sitting in it. Thanks. :thumbsup2

First time over here in a few months. Guess I need to start playing catch up on this thread, or just wait for the new one.

This sounds like the voice of experience.

Sorry to hear about the tooth. Hope they give you good drugs and as pain-free as possible.
