**Rockin the expandable tutu!! -- F&W in 1.5 hours & a DISmeet! [updated 9.29.14]

I read through most of your trip reports over the past couple of weeks (when I'm supposed to be studying, lol) but I followed you over from the live thread.

I just wanted to say Emme reminds me so much of my dd. My dd is now nine, and it almost seems like a good deal for Disney dining, though I have a feeling I will be taking that back next year when she turns 10. We live about an hour away, and I really miss the days of a nice stroll through Epcot with a sleeping toddler. I really just miss the stroller, lol ... having to carry the bag now stinks.

I agree! Love having my jogging stroller. It sucked when I had to use an umbrella stroller...the umbrella stroller would tip over if I hung my back pack on it. :(

Disney food prices keep going up...I'm looking forward to the day where Emme eats her money's worth. That would be the day!

Thank you for joining in! :)

We're doing the P&P cruise on June 1, do you think I should bring our own blanket? Or jackets? Thanks!

Hello!

I don't think you would need one in June as the weather will be really warm. It might be slightly cool but that breeze will probably be welcomed after the brutal heat of Orlando in June.

Enjoy the cruise...it is such a wonderful experience!

Hi great report! One question, do yo remember at what time aprox you returned to CR from pirates and pals? My family is doing this in june and I was wondering if we could return to MK on a night that closes at 12 AM
Thanks!

Hello! :)

We returned at about 1030pm & then opted to stay and take pictures with Peter Pan.

You could potentially make it back to MK but I guess that all depends on the time of wishes. You may have to walk briskly from the contemporary to MK however.

Thanks for the nice comments! :)

Hello~~~:wave2:
I read your review from the beginning and really enjoyed it. Emme is so cute!!! ::yes::
It reminds me of our trips when my DS was young. I am also single mom and Korean. It was really hard to feed him at Disney on our first 2~3 trips since we mainly eat Korean food at home also. Since then, DS developed really good eating habits and palate so he eats well and appreciate fine dining at Disney.

Hello!! :)

Thanks for the nice comments!

We have so much in common. :)

We had steak and kimchi for dinner...wish we could eat that at Disney this weekend. Ha ha.

So happy your baby eats well...it's been tough trying to Americanize emme's palate but we are working on it.

Where did you get the tutus in your first pic? They are very cute!

My friend Sophie (who also creates dresses for Emme for our dianey trips) made those for us! :)

Thanks for the nice comments...I will pass it a long to Sophie. :)

updated 5/7/14

before i finish my update from january, i wanted to post some DISmeet pictures from this past weekend.

emme & i made a quick trip down to disney last weekend. we met up with barb (jabead), brenda (emmysmommy) & dh michael & beth (couchy). it was so nice to spend some time with these ladies & gentleman as my dinner in december with them was so fleeting.

up first, breakfast at captain's grill at YC:

afterwards, despite the rain, we donned our ponchos & headed over to DHS to meet beth. we had a super fun time and rode TOT, TSM, the muppets & star tours!

i really enjoyed my time with the DISladies and so did emme! i look forward to seeing them again in the not so distant future. :yay:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

our last & final meal of emme's january birthday trip was at pizza planet in DHS. i really like this place...especially for a kids meal. for $5.99, you get a heck of a lot of food for a kid & the pizza is always fresh & tasty. at most TS, the pizza is twice the price and all you get is a pizza with maybe a drink. but here and almost all QS places, the kids meal are a total bargain.

but before we made our way for our final meal, emme wanted to get her face painted.

and then we said hello to some friends:

after some more fun, we headed to pizza planet.

for lunch, emme chose:

13547751694_402f273553_z.jpg

she wanted a cheese pizza to which she added about 4 packets of parmesean cheese. instead of the cookie, we got a yogurt. you can't order the yogurt when placing your order but when your meal is given to you, you can ask to switch something for the yogurt.

the dough is a little thick but emme really enjoyed the pizza. for $5.99, this is a ton of food for a 4 year old. she didn't finish the carrots so i tucked it away in my back pack for her to have as a snack later.

this is our go to meal for her at DHS. it's a winner, every time. there's nothing gourmet about it but it satisfies her and the meal makes my wallet happy.

for my lunch, i chose:

Antipasto Salad - - tossed to order. Salami, pepperoni, Kalamata olives, mozzarella, tomatoes, chopped Romaine, and Italian vinaigrette $7.99

another view of the salad:

i noticed as we were waiting for our lunch, that each salad is made to order. so therefore, no soggy lettuce! this was a pretty huge salad filled with lots of cured meat. i wish i asked for the salad to be lightly dressed. there was a little too much dressing on it but i was really pleased with the meat to lettuce ratio. the romaine lettuce was nice & crisp and super fresh.

i also had to have a beer with my lunch. emme had her mickey milk and i had a beer.

as i was eating my salad, i realized that i was eating around the salami & pepperoni. it was just too much meat. i wish i had a slab of bread to make me a sammich so that i could finish the entire thing.

see...i need a piece of bread to make me a nice sammich.

and emme was still enjoying her lunch.

i was pleasantly surprised with my salad & thought it was really well priced. emme loved her lunch and with our belly's full & happy, we did a little more exploring and then made our way home.

i was sad that out trip was over but excited that we would be seeing our good DISfriend rachel in march for 9 days & 8 nights of disney fun. :yay:

up next, HELLO AKL JAMBO HOUSE!!

YAY for a new update! We've missed you! :worship:
Noticed in one pic, Emme is doing the peace sign just like her mama.
Have to ask, where do you get your custom shirts made for Emme, looking for ideas for our next Disney trip.
As always, can't wait to read up on your Disney adventures. :cheer2:

Great pics from your DIS meets Patty
Hope we can all catch up in October again :-)

Whoa, that is a very generous serving of meat in that salad!

Super cute photos from your DISmeet.

We will have to check out Pizza planet next time we are HS. We have never gone, but the pizza looks pretty good.

All caught up again! I've been away from reading TRs for a while, as we're moving next week, and I've been crazy busy packing & babysitting grandkids!

Hubby & I are going to WDW Sept 19-Oct 1, just ourselves, no kids, no grandkids, no anyone! Love my family, but we were just there last October with 19 of us. First trip for the four grandsons. It was a blast, but now I want some Disney time with just the DH.

We're going to be doing 1900 Park Fare for dinner for the first time, so was happy to read your report about that. We have a reservation for 7pm, and the MSEP is at 9 & Wishes at 10, so am going to keep trying for a little earlier reservation. I was concerned we wouldn't get to the MK in time for the parade, and it's the only night it's running that we can make it to the MK. After reading your report, I see that I really do want to try for an earlier time, since you always have to wait to be seated after your ADR.

We're doing a split stay. 8 nights at Boardwalk Villas and then 4 nights at Wilderness Lodge. We'll be checking into Wilderness on the 27th, which is one of the few nights the MSEP is running.

Can't wait to read about your next trip! Loving all the food pics, and the adorable pics of Emme!
