Disney's ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Information & Questions

Thanks disneylover for your answer, I really appreciate it. The cruise is booked and now all we have to do is find the right resort on property for the week before.

Hi!

Does anyone know if the taxis parked at Animation Bldg will drive down and pick us up at the curb outside LM buildings?

(I stayed in a Nemo suite in Feb., and took a taxi from the main entrance - near where you wait for the bus. Will be staying in a LM room soon, and wondering if I have to walk to that main entrance to get a taxi, or if I call the front desk/concierge/someone they will send a taxi to the LM area.)

TIA!

If I didn't have 2 kids in a stroller I'd prefer the top floor myself. I found the ground floor easier with the stroller last trip.

I too have two kids in a stroller. Both under 5. We leave the stroller in the car and we carry the kids up.

My will be 15 month old twins are going to be in a double stroller when we go. I have requested the top floor in a Cars suite (our 5 year old is a HUGE Cars fan) because twin A is a very light sleeper and I am concerned about overhead noise. I am hoping that the elevator isn't going to be too much of an inconvenience!

Hey guys. So we are headed down to the World for our annual September trip and we keep changing our minds about resorts! It will be me and DH, DS12, DS6, DSalmost3,butstillfree, and my parents. Do you think that all 7 of us would be okay in a Nemo suite? I figure we will give my parents the master bedroom with the 4 of us on the other 2 beds and the baby in a packnplay. We will be going while free dining is offered so that is why we would choose the suite over 2 LM rooms. We have not stayed at this resort before. What do you all think? Thank you!!!

The suites only sleep up to six people.

If the baby won't have a ticket, the baby wouldn't actually have to show up on the reservation, I think.....

We just stayed in a LK suite last month. They are not huge, but if you are okay with not having room to spread out it would work.

I'm pretty sure that the one-extra- child-under-three exception still applies at the suites. So you would not be over-occupancy. But you may have to call to make the ressie, sometimes the website will say you have too many people.

The pack-n-play would probably need to go in the kitchen area, can't think of where else there would be floor space. So just keep in mind that access to the fridge and microwave may be limited.

We stayed at AoA in a Cars suite (me, DH, DS9 and DD1) in April for Spring Break. We loved the room and everything about the resort. It was nice that me and DH had our own room and the kids could sleep on the pool down bed. It was also nice having two full bathrooms and the small kitchen.

Originally we had booked CBR for the Pirate room for my DS 10th birthday celebration in May for SWW but after talking it over we are going back to AoA for the Cars Suite!!!!

I loved the room, the decorations around the hotel and how close our room was to the food court and transportation. It was also easy to park our car next to our room. I'm so excited we are going back.

We're doing this in October! It will be me, DH, DS4, DS2, and DS1 plus my parents. 7 total but the rule is that you can add 1 child under 3 who sleeps in a pack & play to any room occupancy.

We're planning on my parents having the master with the pack & play in it (if it will fit), then DH and I on the pull outs with the older boys.

I couldn't make the reservation online since it was over the 6 max occupancy. I just called and they set it up no problem!

I have a LM room booked for Dec.. I liked having a ground floor room at CSR during our last stay since I use a stroller the entire trip. Anyone like or dislike the ground floor at AoA, LM section preferably?

The ground floor was great for us. We had a room in the front of the LM section. I am sure that it saved us considerably on the walk to the food court

We leave next week and we also have 7 in our room as my dd is 2. We are bringing an air mattress as well, as I have asked others on here if it fits. I am actually having Amazon ship one to the resort for $15 with Amazon Prime.

When we made the sofa out into a bed, I noticed that the back cushion (all one big piece) looked like a changing-table pad underneath--sort of a U-shape. I would think you could bring a crib sheet and use that for the 3YO, unless you really want the pack-n-play to use as baby jail LOL! Either one will fit fine in the bedroom, IMO.

That's what my then 8 yo DD slept on when we were in a LK suite last June. We had an air mattress for her but she preferred that -- though I think she used the seat cushions (same "u" shape) and we left the back cushion in place. I had mousekeeping bring extra sheets and a blanket for the "cushion bed". It fit nicely between the pull-out couch and the wall -- completely out of the way. She called it her fort.

We just decided to stay @ AoA on our November trip.
our group will be DW & I, DD16 and DD's boyfriend16. we're trying to decide on adjoining standard rooms (one for DW & DD, the other for me and the boyfriend), or a family suite. our primary concern is the quality of the bedding in the sofa & murphy beds. are these thin foam or something more closer to a mattress in terms of comfort? I know comfort is subjective, we have select comfort beds @ home but DD keeps hers on partially inflated so i think a "thin" cushion may work for her. any info is appreciated.- also, the boyfriend is about 6'3 and we'd rather not subject him to a 5' bed all week. :listen:

This has probably been posted before, but I am wondering how much the refrigerator will hold. I am ordering from Garden Grocer. My family are big milk drinkers. How many 1/2 gallon containers of milk will it hold?

Are you in a suite or Little Mermaid room? The fridges in the suites are larger than the small "cube" type fridges, and hold quite a bit. We easily fit a couple of half gallons of milks and a whole bunch of other stuff (yogurts, pop, bottled water, etc.). You can also fit quite a bit in the door of the bigger fridges; the door are equipped with racks. We put pop and yogurt in the doors.

Not 100% sure about the fridges in the LM rooms, but I think they're the smaller cube type. They fit a lot less.

We ordered from Garden Grocer, and decided not to "over-order" on the milk because we were worried not all of our perishibles would fit in the fridge. We knew we could buy more milk in the food court if needed.
