What Disney Snack Do You Wish You Never Bought (and Ate)?

2 things: the butterfinger cupcake at Starring Rolls at DHS. It sure LOOKED pretty, but the cupcake itself was dry, and it was just overly sweet, and just gross.

Also, the Goofy's sweet and sour candies shaped like the fab 5. I was expecting candy that tasted like sweet tarts, but OH MY GOSH, that was the NASTIEST candy I've ever had. DH had a couple and threw the entire bag away. :crazy2:

Although in defense of the school bread, it used to be a lot better. When I first had it back in 2008, it WAS really good. The next few trips after that, it just seemed to decline. Bread was drier, stiffer, less sweet. Haven't had it in the past couple trips.

I totally agree with the school bread. YUCK!
And the tie dye cheesecake. I could taste the dye. And I didn't love the rice cream either.
I do however love the Turkey legs and dole whips!

I hope no one smacks me for this one but I cannot with the Dole Whip. I was so excited to try it on my last trip, after hearing so many people here rave on about it, and I was sorely disappointed.

It's just soft serve! I don't get it! I had it with the pineapple juice and eughhhhh.

Ew all of the snacks in the Japan Pavilion, including Pocky!

*GASP* You take that back! I LOVE Pocky! :lmao:

I can't eat it now being gluten free and all, but man almighty do I miss it…

Someone else mentioned (as a good snack) the Nutella waffle from Sleepy Hollow. I used to love-love-love that, but again, gluten free me can't have it now. I do however have a jar of Nutella here, and some pancake mix to make some GF waffles… mmmmmm, I smell breakfast tomorrow! :wizard:

You should try the orange crush if you like oranges. :)

I can't have the pineapple dole whips because I'm allergic to pineapple (tongue swells and mouth hurts and mouth gets this 'fuzzy carpet' feeling all over inside) but I love the soft serve!

Funnel Cake at Sleepy Hollow. Wasn't that it was bad, but I got incredibly sick that night, and I tasted it more than once, if you know what I mean.:sick: I can't even smell them now without feeling sick.

Hm, thanks for the suggestion! Is it just orange soda? I might like that better. I did miss the "fizziness" of a normal ice cream float.

I do really love soft serve too, haha. The soft serve itself was just fine, I think I was just expecting something more awesome than what it was.

I didn't care for the gingerbread shingle. I guess there's a reason it's called a "shingle." :rotfl2:

And there was a prepackaged cookie that came with one of the CS meals that was stale and tasteless.

The Citrus Swirl at the Sunshine Tree Terrace.

The orange was so bitter, I ate less than half of it before throwing it away.

Here in Michigan we have multiple flavors of Dole whip and I love them all. What I love to do at MK is get the float with Dole whip mixed with vanilla soft serve, mmm mmm good! :thumbsup2

In HS, the bakery near TOT, we bought a large mickey-shaped cake pop. I expected actual cake, but it was very dense and very undercooked. About the same constistency as raw cookie dough. Ate it anyway :confused3

Also from the same place- this past trip we saw their "Mickey macaroons". I got one and loved it, yet when my Aunt tried it, she found it repulsive.

On a good note- the best coffee in all of the parks is served at the little stand near the exit of TOT.

There are more things I thought I wouldn't like and ended up loving, like violet lemonade, the maple cinnamon bun at Gaston's...

Ahhhhh! Did you say MAPLE??? :hyper:

/drools
//adds to list for May
///drools again

Not a fan of cake pops in general (eating or making them) but cake pops are not just a baked ball of cake. They are often baked cake all crumbled up, combined with icing to make it 'mushy' enough to stick together and roll the balls from. I can imagine mass producing them there would be a higher amount of icing than I normally use in my shop.

But I find them mushy in general....don't really care for them anywhere!

The school bread I tried back in June was dry and stiff! So maybe it wasn't fresh? I thought it was going to be soft and airy with a sweet taste. Maybe I will try it again on my next trip!! :)

Yes. Yes. Yes.

I was so excited for these cupcakes, but the cake itself is dry, and everything else is like eating a cavity. :scared1:
