I Will NEVER Eat At _______ In WDW Again!!

There does seem to be a general theme, eh? The restaurants that we have tried at least twice, usually more, that have been a total letdown every single time:

H&V dinner
CM dinner
WCC dinner
Cape May dinner
LTT dinner

Funny thing is that we have enjoyed breakfast or lunch at the same restaurants. I have come to the conclusion that, for my family, bland American comfort food is fine for breakfast but not for dinner. :rotfl:

Chef Mickey don't care for the food and not worth the $
Crystal Palace - got food poisoning

I stay away from anything with tomato sauce at WDW. We live in the NYC area and way too many good restaurants to deal with sauce that taste like it came out of a jar
The exception is Tutto Italia as I find that authentic and very much like the food we had in Italy. Didn't like Tony's but DD had two appetizers and they were very good, she had the Mozzarella and tomatoes plus the cesar salad. The restaurant is too busy and always feels dirty to me as they don't have time to pick up all the dirt that falls on the floor.

Tutto Italia. Tried it twice and both times had horrible meals. My dinner the last time tasted like Chef Boyardee out of a can, and my niece didn't even eat her food-I had to buy her chicken strips back at the hotel that night. :sad2:

Last summer was my daughter's 18th birthday, she had been asking for years to go to Tony's but my DH never thought the menu looked that good. We decided to go for her birthday with my parents as well, so a party of 6. We made sure to mention the birthday at check-in, waited about 45 to get in with our ADR. We were walked all the way to the outside patio and seated at what was a four top with a couple extra chairs so we were cramped. As I sat down the sun was directly in my eyes so I had to put the menu up to block it, there was no where to move my chair unless I turned away from the table. We mentioned this to the server and she just said if we didn't like the table we could go back up front and probably have to wait another hour. I tried to deal with it but finally just asked for a manager and they moved us to a table inside that was meant for 6 people. The food was sadly not very good either after all that and my daughter was very disappointed in the whole expierence. I don't think we will be back.

Hollywood & Vine. Ugh.

My wife and I married and honeymooned at WDW, and it was my first visit, so I really wanted to try a Disney buffet.

Too bad I picked the wrong one, haha. I read mixed reviews, but mostly positive, so we went for it. But the food was pretty horrible. Premixed salads?! Good night.

Service was great and it wasn't the price that bothered us: Just the quality of the food, and we expected a larger selection.

I don't think we will go back to Jiko. I guess my expectations were REALLY high after all the raves. DH and I didn't enjoy it.

Pizza Planet. There was nothing about that meal that I'd ever want to eat again. The salad was wilted, the pizza was blah and the dessert was dry and poorly flavored.

For me it would be Garden Grille, was expecting so much more from when I first visited and was run by Kraft. Waited 45 minutes and felt rushed and food was poor to medicore. Hollywood and Vine was ok but felt sick afterwards. Le Cellier, I was disappointed in and not worth 2 TS poor service and mediocre food. Chef Mickey's went for breafast food would have been good but it was so cold and not cooked. I love Crystal Palace but I notice each year they skimp on the buffet more and more.

For us it's Fulton's. DH was dying to go there for couple of years. I don't like seafood so I kept putting it off. Finally I booked it for our anniversary in Feb. It was terrible. Food way overpriced and his lobster was raw. My steak was just OK, nothing special. Dinner was $180.00 including tip and never again!

Same here! Spent a fortune on dinner there for my family on our last night at Disney and horribly disappointed.

Im surprised that so many people had awful experiences at Mama Melrose! We are a family of Italian-Americans and we loved it. We did the Fantasmic package and ate at MM on our last trip, and just booked it again for our upcoming trip. We did wait FOREVER in the tiny lobby, that was the only negative.
We also loved Teppan Edo which seems like it got some bad reviews on here. Oh yah and we love Crystal Palace breakfast. lol. I mainly love CP because we always schedule our ADR for an hour prior to park opening- nothing like skipping down Main St without a soul in sight. Love that.

I will never eat at Sci Fi again...blech!!!

One hidden gem we found in Hollywood Studios is Starring Rolls...very good.

Tusker House - although the atmosphere and characters were great, DH and I were very underwhelmed by the food. Everything was bland and unauthentic. Food was cold and not well stocked.

Tony's Town Square - food was alright, nothing to write home about. We would never return because, as tons of others called out, the service was AWFUL. Our server seemed straight up angry and made us feel rushed and like we were the biggest inconvenience he had ever encountered.

We'd heard such great things about 50's prime time that we had to give it a shot. Never again, food was cold and so bland it was almost tasteless. Cute decorations but atmosphere was completely lacking due to disinterested server. :sad2:

ABC Commissary at DHS hands down is the one place I would NEVER EVER EVER eat again. Never in my life have I found inedible french fries- but neither my DH nor I could eat them here! Between that, his inedible burger, and my inedible fried fish, there was literally nothing we could eat AT ALL. Apparently there have been menu updates, but we won't be going back!

We also had a really bad experience at CRT. We were at WDW for our honeymoon and went to CRT for breakfast one morning as a special treat (neither of us had ever been). The waitress refused to give either of us the sword/wand (we wanted them for the memory!), and she also refused to take our picture even though she had plenty of free time and was just standing around doing nothing (the people at the table next to us ended up offering instead!). The one time she came over to us, she told us that she didn't know what we were doing there and that it really was a place for kids and she didn't understand why we would ever want to eat there! We had our reasons, but we didn't feel like we needed to justify them to our waitress! When I tried to get her to take my TiW card for the discount she dismissed it and told me it was a holiday and they didn't accept it. When I pointed out that it was July 6th (which is definitely not a holiday that I know of!) she proceeded to say that it was "close enough to July 4th". I tried to politely point out that it didn't say that on my TiW information, to which she said "well I say it" and walked away. Not exactly an ideal memory from our honeymoon! ;)

We try to be as open minded as possible and try a place multiple times before we write it off. Even then, it's rare for us to truly say NEVER AGAIN.

Having said that, here's our list:

'Ohana: we've been 3 times, and each time it got worse. We've decided it's not worth fighting the crowds for, as the food is only mediocre, and we don't like the loud games and such.

Yak & Yeti: man, you guys. We really wanted to like this place! We've been 3-4 times, and it just...underwhelms. Last time we went I got the tuna appetizer, and it was really good, but everything else we've ever had there has been bland and under seasoned.

Marrakesh: we love Moroccan food, but this was terrible. Dry and bland and so boring. We'll be back if it gets a makeover (as so many of the Epcot restaurants are), but not until then.

Tony's- The food wasn't terrible, it was just that we waited 45 minutes and the food wasn't really that good...

San Angel Inn- Again, the food wasn't terrible, just the service. Server added a 20% gratuity to our card, after we left her cash... and she would disappear for long periods.

The maya grill!
We went Saturday night, WDW said there were no ADR available, but we walked right in. We were excited, too, since we stayed at CSR last year and didn't end up eating there.

Weeellllllll.......
Food was terrible. Hubby and I both got the steak fajitas. They were bland, meat was chewy, you could wax a car with the grease that was on the plate.

Service was more than lacking. Our server - Javier- was not friendly at all, he rolled his eyes at my 2 yr old DS when I gave him yogurt that wasn't purchased there because he didn't want anything off our plates (can't say that I blame him). He was absent most of the meal, didn't check on us at all, we had to flag him down for refills and even then, it took ages to get them.

My DS is going through a plate flipping obsession and when the server came by and saw he'd turned over a plate and made a small rice mess on the table, he shot me a dirty look that magically made his tip almost fully disappear!

Then when the dessert round came along, we were denied the option of taking it to go because both kids were exhausted, DS was acting up and we were fed up with the service. Kids got the churros and ice cream. Dd (7) looks at me and says they are hard as rocks. I taste one and they are STALE. I'm talking taste like they've been out under a heat lamp for a week. DS used it as a hammer on the table.

DH and I got the cappuccino ice cream things, these took damn near 15 minutes to arrive at our table, THEY'RE FROZEN AND PREMADE! ***!? Aaa and they were awful. Tasted rancid. We maybe took 2 bites each and said hell with it.

Worst experience ever. Ever ever ever.
Needless to say hubby sent an email to Disney about it.

I've never had a bad meal or bad experience at any restaurant in WDW. We have been trying to try quite a few new ones each trip. I guess the one that I know I wont return to would be CRT just because I thought it was much too expensive for what you get.

I agree about CRT. It was worth it once for the eating in the castle experience, but the portions were tiny and the food was just okay. The only other place I didn't like was Akershus for dinner. The cold buffet was awesome, but the entrees were pretty awful. I have heard that Akershus is better for breakfast, so we are going to try that out this trip.

Our dinner "never do again" is also Akershus. We had good princess interaction, but the food was pretty bad. That was our one FAIL of our 2012 trip.

Our lunch "never do again" was Tusker House. We had high hopes because we love Boma and so many people compare it. We waited forever, had horrible service, and it was a MAD HOUSE around the food...which we weren't impressed with.

The plus side...never a bad breakfast!
