Well with only 1 sleep to go until we head off on our adventure, I'm feeling fairly organised. Still obviously lots of little bits and pieces to do but the bulk of it is done.
Still grappling with how many cases to take and final packing options but that will come together as the day wears on.
I am now thoroughly excited - jumping out of my skin now actually. Surprisingly the first pangs of nerves about something going wrong only hit me at 4am. Usually I would've been feeling them for weeks, just shows how frantic things have been that I haven't started worrying until now. DD14 has a pool party (with boys there) today which has me worried. If she runs and slips or something I'm gonna have to kill her
My DS10 has sport for most of the day and then late this arvo and tonight will be finalising packing and getting the house ready for us to leave it for 5 weeks. Shouldn't be too much to do.
So just a reminder on who the family are:-
Me - 41 (cough cough), planner extraordinaire, pretty "pitcha" taker, stresser, food porn loving Disney-oholic, travel obsessed, proud mumma
DH - 40 (going on 60, old man lol) shopaholic, reluctant Disney visitor, sports mad, music mad, food loving, highly strung, hard working, proud dadda
DD14 - Diva-licous dancing queen, loves Disney as much as her mumma, loves desserts so free dining is her favourite thing in the whole world, stunning, super smart, super sweet, wants to be an interior designer, living in a fancy NYC apartment (a girl's gotta dream )
DS10 - Sports mad feral beast, makes me laugh, makes me cry, is slowly evolving out of being a fussy eater (thanks to our last WDW trip), very OCD like his mumma and pappa, still young enough to be "cute" at Disney, super smart, mummy's little man.
Okay that's us - now here's the plan:-
9 December - fly to Orlando
20 December - fly to NYC for Christmas (a lifelong dream come true)
29 December - fly to Quebec City, Canada, for NYE
3 January - fly to Toronto, private transfer to Niagara Falls
4 January - private transfer to Buffalo airport, fly to Boston
9 January - fly to Washington DC
13 January - fly home to lovely Canberra
15 January - arrive home
Everything is planned to within an inch of it's life which is the way I roll . Of course I'm more than happy to change it up if the fam want to do something else, within reason .
It's getting exciting, all the planning about to come together. Can't wait to be on the plane though, will feel much more relaxed then and might actually sleep.
Stay tuned and cross your fingers for me for a White Christmas....
