CSE-- Pg. 74 SATAN'S HAMMER, Ch.18, pg.160 "Goodnight Sweetheart" epilogue

Okay, I'm torn...TRs are for sharing your experiences at Disney Parks, so if Nebo doesn't want to share anymore, I certainly don't want to push him.

However, Nebo, your TRs tend to tak on a life of their own...with TM's songs (available elsewhere, possibly, but really, who provides greater source material than Nebo?) and the back and forth and one-up-man-ship of you and Pkondz, Ponzie's Photoshop Phun, Buzz's individual responses to each thing in your posts. . .and so much more. This makes them more than TRs; they're afterwork drinks with buds at the bar/pub; Cocktails with the girls (this is for your lady readers, TM, Ponz and yourself look to that first one); football/soccer/baseball games where the real reason you're there is to socialize with people who have something in common with you and drink.

Your TRs are quite often more about the comments than the trip.

Anyway, whether you decide for more TRs or not, I hope you have many happy, SAFE, fun trips with your darling Smidgy to both coasts.

And...Happy Halloween, y'all.

You know. We are meeting up with them next trip. Maybe I can bribe him with some vikes and some fancy $10 cocktail drinks. I'll have to get him to sign a contract first. :rolleyes1

NO TR, NO VIKES or ALCOHOL!:lmao:

Not to say he wouldn't have his own stash but it's worth a shot.

First - OK Nebo, at first I was thinking NOOOOO say it isn't so, no more Nebo trip reports but THEN I thought what are the odds that Nebo can go to WDW and have nothing happen??? I'm thinking somewhere in the same neighborhood of me getting bitten by a shark while sitting on my front porch just outside of San Antonio, TX.

.....

Isn't San Antonio like a stone's throw from the gulf? if I was there, it COULD happen!

It is not very nice to post my name and the word disappointment in the same sentence. Ouch!

I have the feeling that whatever nice thing I was to say you would find fault with.
Dear.
Geesh!

Did you see the siggy of the person who posted right above you? Barb graduates aslmost on the same day you do.

Yup, I remember. There was a picture posted too, wasn't there?

You got it, he took one of him and me with his celll phone to prove to Connie he had run into the
Dis Derelict, nebo.

Couple of things.

1. Brain empty. No need to say it, we've all known it for years. Odd though, how we keep coming back...

Oh, yeah, one more thing. You have my permission to post the result of the pool. Don't ask me to figure out who came closest though.

Oh yeah, about that, Hmm, one problem there, I can't remember the second number, it's either blank or blank,,,,it's one of two and I was busy talking when you told me and now I can't remember which one it was.

All right everyone, remember when we started guessing Ponzi's age? like we did with Buzz? Well time to chime in again on it, I had originally guressed 42, now I need to hear from all of you, ok? THere is ONE stinkin picture he posted of himself early in his trip report on the shark swim day. If I wasn't so lazy I'd try to go and get it.

Awwww, thank you Nebo. So sweet of you to recommend my PTR. :goodvibes :lovestruc And we aren't bored with what you are writing, you might be, but we still love hearing what you have to say. :goodvibes

Hey Millie, you'r aces, always have been, but you hit it on the head, you like hearing what i have to say, but sometimes I just don't have anything.

Nebo, you know I'm here. I'm like kudzu in the South, you just can't get rid of me! And yeah, your accent, or lack thereof, is about as thin as molasses. ;)

Okay, that's my best pitch I think, at least for now. But maybe I will think of something else.

Now I need to get to doing what warms your heart the most......posting several times in a row!!! ;)

Ok, ok, please don't say anything nice about me anymore, my head is going to burst and if not, Smidgy's and Ponzi's will instead.
But after thinking about it,, I guess I will have some new things to write about,,, I really haven't don'e much on Uni at all, and I have the new Harry fPotter land we haven't seen, plus maybe some new fantasy land stuff, so, ok, put me down for one more I guess, ok bartender? Probably be a short one cuz we're flying and I've used up all my good stuff on airplanes allready, but, we'll see.

So Nebo, before I go backwards to catch up on what I have missed, I have to catch you up. Tomorrow is my final two week appointment before I move to weekly visits at the doctor. I will get to experience the joy of the strep test for the third time, and nope this strep test doesn't involve checking the throat. Lucky me, what a way to start Halloween, with a not so pleasant trick! :sad2:

You mean, GASP! He's going to have to check inside your,,,,,, Elbow?

Anyway, 37 weeks as of Thursday so it is definitely getting closer. The Buzz family will be picking out a few sleepers tonight in boy and girl genders from our "gently used" stuff to pack and take with us to the hospital.

It's hard to believe we almost have the new family member here! ;)

How exciting! I'm so happy for your happiness!

We have ordered kid's meals many times at DL. For some items, that's the only way they sell it (like the peanut butter painter's palette). The CMs have never said anything about it, even at a sit-down restaurant. At Knott's Berry Farm, it was a different story. DD wanted the grilled cheese sandwich, and it was only on the kids' menu. DD was probably 17 at the time. The server was very rude about it. My DSis said she was willing to pay the adult price for the kid's meal, and the server still said no. DSis said our party of 6 would be leaving, and the manager came over and said, of course DD could order the sandwich. I can understand a restaurant not wanting to give you the kid's price, but when they have the food in the kitchen and won't sell it to you at any price, that seems a little silly.

Danielle, that is exactly what I feared. But no, I have to admit that I DO want to pay the cheaper price
as well, I just don't see why there has to be an age issue involved in the purchase.

OK Nebo. You're forcing me out of the shadowed corner again!!! :rolleyes2

So, don't let this go to your head - but I think you're terrific just for being Nebo, and so are your TR's. Please don't disappear - even if it's a few photo's and a short paragraph or two of that day's WDW experience, I will be here and will stay out of the corner to cheer you on. :cheer2:

Looking forward to reading your TR's for a long, long, time. :surfweb:

Lisa, great post, boy, if I ever need a publicist......but yeah, it's looking like one more time at bat for me.

Okay, I'm torn...TRs are for sharing your experiences at Disney Parks, so if Nebo doesn't want to share anymore, I certainly don't want to push him.

Another great post, and you hit it on the head,,, this would be no where near as fun if not for Thumper man and wife, all the other contributors here and especially Ponzi, he's been my wingman. Thank you, from all of us.

You know. We are meeting up with them next trip. Maybe I can bribe him with some vikes and some fancy $10 cocktail drinks. I'll have to get him to sign a contract first. :rolleyes1

Oh wait, by me saying I 'll do a report again does that mean no vikes?:faint:

Whew, what a Halloween night! The kids had a blast, we went to a trunk or treat at our church and went traditional trick or treating in a neighborhood. DS and DD have quite a candy haul, which they have already sorted into good candy and bad candy......otherwise known as candy that DH and I can eat if we want, but most of the reject pile is YUCK!! Like those black and orange wrapped peanut butter taffy candies. :sad2: DS was a really cute Popeye and DD wore a cute Halloween shirt as she has never wanted to wear a costume......odd, I know but she pretty much marches to the beat of her own drum.

Nebo, yeah, the strep test felt like it might be taking place at my elbow, but sadly that trick was on me. It was a good checkup, no real status report to give other than the midwife said I'm still "on track" for Thanksgiving time frame. I did get a flu shot from hell though. I have had a flu shot every year for the past 14 years and never had any issues, but this nurse today was ROUGH and I have a pretty high tolerance for needle pain and such. And boy is it sore. Next appointment is next Wednesday at high noon.

And woot and hoo for doing another TR Nebo! In my opinion, you always have something to say so I can only look forward to your Christmas season report with glee. Just watch the times of day I post, they may rival the really late night club around here. I am really anticipating hearing what you and Smidgy think of Harry Potter at Universal, and of course, the new Fantasyland additions. I can't wait!! :yay:

And last but not least......Pkondz's age guess. It's tough, I agree with you, but I'm going to go with 46. I'm probably way off!

Hey Nebo, I'm still reading along. PLEASE, please do another report. We are thinking of doing a Universal trip next time and I'd love to hear your take on HP land and the rest. Even if it's a quickie!

Hope all your East Coast readers and family survived the storm. And Buzz, sorry about the trick today & your rough shot, hope you're feeling well. Happy Halloween!!

Just wanted to post a Halloween experience from last night. My DH has been working 12 hour night shifts at the electric company ever since Sandy dropped by for a visit on Monday. My DD was gone, taking out the 3 year old girl she babysits (Cinderella with fairy wings). So I was all alone to give out candy.

One of the kids comes, collects his candy, goes down the porch steps. Then he startles, like he just remembered something and comes barreling back up to the door. "Oh, please, tell Mr. H, thanks for the power!"

:rotfl:

I must admit, for the first time in 25 years of marriage and storms (that didn't come out right) I called him in the Storm Room to give him the message.

If Nebo don't do another report, I'd be happy to tell you about US/IoA. Lady H and I have been to HP Land. We went the year it first opened. We'll be going back again this trip.

And no Nebo, that is not an acceptance of me doing a trip report. Your fans have spoken.

That is the BEST story. Some kids are sooo nice. And yes, thank him for the power, I'm sure he doesn't get thanks enough!

Thanks T-man, my kids are getting to the thrill-ride age and I think they'd enjoy the parks there. So now YOU have to do another report too! I will need LOTS of advising! :-)

Well he said he was young and foolish on his first trip to Hawaii. I don't know how young he was on his first trip, but I can definitely believe he was foolish. Given some of the information he provided, my guess would be 44.

Oh wait, by me saying I 'll do a report again does that mean no vikes?:faint:

If you do another TR, take all the vikes you want. I'm sure your Dr. will supply more. All I have to offer is a couple of $10 Disney drinks.

I too want to echo Nancy's sentiments on hope all of you out east are doing ok, I know there has been a lot of folks from New Jersey on this thread and I hope you aren't without power for too long.

there should be a law that all Halloween candy is a form of chocolate, don't you love it when you see them hold that bowl full of stupid Smarties or candy corn? Oh, and I love it when they run out and now they' re grabbing anything to throw in your bag I remember once trying to upgrade by trading with my sister, "Ok Lynn, I'll give you two Hall's Mentholyptis drops and a green onion for a Reece's Cup."
Right.

Glad it all sounds like it's going well. And coincidence time, I, too got the needle yesterday at my doc's who said I was way over due for blood work, so I acquesse,,,, aqwees,,,, ackwe,,,,, gave in and let them take it. And once again it took a few trys of sticking me before he hit the vein, dang I hate that. And yes Barb, I did try to drink water beforehand, it still didn't help. Buzz, I used to think I had a high tolerance of pain before too, I don't think that way anymore, everything bothers me now and I'm turning into a big wuss.

And woot and hoo for doing another TR Nebo! In my opinion, you always have something to say so I can only look forward to your Christmas season report with glee.

No, I won't be there with Glee.
Ever since the Indiana Jones Stunt Show, they won't let me anywhere near a stage. I still wish I could hve been there in laundry when whoever it was came across my peasant robe with all the bloodstains near the bottom of it.

Ok, oh, I have a great name for the baby if it's a boy and you are sure you don't want to go with "Little Nebo". It's Wyatt, I think that's a cool name. Especially for a baby, then you can affectionately call him,
Wyatt Burp.

That is terrific, I'm sure most of the time all he and you hear are complaints. I get the feeling his mom told him to mention that and he almost forgot, but stilll,,,,,,it's nice to have a reason to feel proud now and then, isn't it?

No, you and Heather have gotten so good at it you have to do one too, I just mainly want to write about Harry since that's new to me.

Whoops, I did it again. Man, the more we do this stuff on the dis, the dumber we both get.

No, you and Heather have gotten so good at it you have to do one too, I just mainly want to write about Harry since that's new to me.

So let me make sure I'm reading this correctly. When you said "you have to do one too" that means you'll also be doing one. Correct? If this is correct, then we'll do one. We may not get it done as fast as you, but we'll do one.

Yeah, why not? Kind of like Mony and I covering some of the same ground right now. I do need to call you again and go over our schedules again. And I also need to get back to work on a new chapter!

This year's Flu Shot was the same for me: usually I don't even flinch when given a shot but this year, my entire shoulder ached for a week. Of course, being a dimbulb and letting them shoot my arthritis shoulder might have something to do with that.

I'll play: I'd say. . . .48. If I'm too high, I'm going to blame my genetics. I still look about 5-8 years younger than I actually am, so I tend to over age people.

If I didn't think it would be narcessistic, I'd quote myself. I realized that I equate Nebo's TRs with boozing. Mentioned drinking 2-4 times.

If it would make it a little easier, I can also send you a pm or Smidgy an email of our schedule?

Uh, anybody in the mood to read a chapter?
We are pretty much ready to go.

Yeah Mike, that would help to send me a Pm, but either way, I still need to talk to you on the phone.

We are pretty much ready to go.

Oh sure. Pick the weekend I'm hunting Bambi. I guess I can look at the bright side. It will give me something to read in the mountains at night while sipping on tequila. Hunting at night is illegal here, so that will help me pass the time.
