Whew, what a Halloween night! The kids had a blast, we went to a trunk or treat at our church and went traditional trick or treating in a neighborhood. DS and DD have quite a candy haul, which they have already sorted into good candy and bad candy......otherwise known as candy that DH and I can eat if we want, but most of the reject pile is YUCK!! Like those black and orange wrapped peanut butter taffy candies.
DS was a really cute Popeye and DD wore a cute Halloween shirt as she has never wanted to wear a costume......odd, I know but she pretty much marches to the beat of her own drum.
there should be a law that all Halloween candy is a form of chocolate, don't you love it when you see them hold that bowl full of stupid Smarties or candy corn? Oh, and I love it when they run out and now they' re grabbing anything to throw in your bag I remember once trying to upgrade by trading with my sister, "Ok Lynn, I'll give you two Hall's Mentholyptis drops and a green onion for a Reece's Cup."
Right.
Nebo, yeah, the strep test felt like it might be taking place at my elbow, but sadly that trick was on me. It was a good checkup, no real status report to give other than the midwife said I'm still "on track" for Thanksgiving time frame. I did get a flu shot from hell though. I have had a flu shot every year for the past 14 years and never had any issues, but this nurse today was ROUGH and I have a pretty high tolerance for needle pain and such. And boy is it sore. Next appointment is next Wednesday at high noon.
Glad it all sounds like it's going well. And coincidence time, I, too got the needle yesterday at my doc's who said I was way over due for blood work, so I acquesse,,,, aqwees,,,, ackwe,,,,, gave in and let them take it. And once again it took a few trys of sticking me before he hit the vein, dang I hate that. And yes Barb, I did try to drink water beforehand, it still didn't help. Buzz, I used to think I had a high tolerance of pain before too, I don't think that way anymore, everything bothers me now and I'm turning into a big wuss.
And woot and hoo for doing another TR Nebo! In my opinion, you always have something to say so I can only look forward to your Christmas season report with glee.
No, I won't be there with Glee.
Ever since the Indiana Jones Stunt Show, they won't let me anywhere near a stage. I still wish I could hve been there in laundry when whoever it was came across my peasant robe with all the bloodstains near the bottom of it.
Just watch the times of day I post, they may rival the really late night club around here. I am really anticipating hearing what you and Smidgy think of Harry Potter at Universal, and of course, the new Fantasyland additions. I can't wait!!
And last but not least......Pkondz's age guess. It's tough, I agree with you, but I'm going to go with 46. I'm probably way off!
