I've had a headache since I got up this morning, so...poor me.

However, I did call and make a reservation for the Pirates League to turn my partner into a mermaid. Ha! I wanted the 14th, but they literally didn't have a single opening, so the 13th it is.

Truth be told, I'm OK with that. It'll give us an excuse to get to MK earlier and maybe not take our time in the morning.

That is so cute!!!! Now I want to collect autographs, just so I can have the cute book. I need to rent-a-kid. We stood in line for Aladdin and Jasmine last year because that was DB's favorite movie growing up. This year I want Beast&Belle (if they are at the party) and Mickey&Minnie. I might do the free VISA pic too if I remember.

The VISA pic is at Innoventions West I think, might be east. But definitely one of the Innoventions buildings.

Thanks on the location!

Ggggrrrrr, my fat cat sat her behind on my laptop keyboard & now the text on the pages are so small! & of course I can't figure out how to fix it! :rotfl2:

OK a couple of weeks ago I came home and my cat was sitting on my laptop, had opened ITunes and the song Witchy Woman was playing. Think he was trying to tell me something?

:offtopic: since it isn't about our December trips! Ok, so with the announcement this morning of the 2013 Limited Time Magic stuff, I want them to release specifics darnit! My youngest & I are planning a mommy & me trip sometime in 2013, probably October, but I'd like to know when a few of the things mentioned are going to happen, like the pirate week, the rare character week.....

Is it just the Internet explorer? I've fixed mine with adjusting the percentage back to 100% in the bottom right corner :)

DS does not like to get up in the morning (and he has zero interest in princesses) so it's only DD and I going to the early ADR. DH and DS will come for RD and meet us. My kids can easily take two days of go-go-go, but for any longer than that we would need a more relaxed daily schedule. I'm hoping that they'll sleep all the way home in the car (it's about an 8 hour drive).

I thought about starting off at DHS, then hopping to AK and then hopping back, but I wasn't sure if it would be worth the travel time. Since DH and I have not been as grown-ups, it's hard to judge how long things will take. I have the Unofficial Guide, and I have looked at his chart on commute times. I would love to sign DS up to do one of the later JTA shows, and I know that signing up has to be done at RD. He uses anything he can get his hands on as a light saber.

Thanks to everyone who read and responded to my long post! DH refuses to discuss Disney plans. "Just tell me where to go." :rolleyes2

ETA: I made a typo in my first post. I know Dec. is party night. I meant Dec. 10. No party for us this trip.

People have different opinions on hopping. It is just me and DH and we love to hop. I have plans for us to be in 3 different parks on a couple days this trip. I think having your car helps tremendously too. No waiting for a bus and everyone has a seat. :thumbsup2 If JTA is a priority, then I would definitely do DHS at rope drop and then go from there. I dont know how the return times work, but hopefully you can get one that works with the AK parade.

So, now that the trip is paid off and I have some extra, unexpected cash, I thought I'd splurge with one thing. I'm really liking the 2012 park sweatshirt, but I don't know if I'll want to wear something that says 2012 after the year is over...

I have sweatshirts from 2007 and 2011 that I still wear all the time, both in and out of Disney. Personal preference, I guess.

December 23
Arriving early afternoonish at the Boardwalk and dropping off luggage. Headed to DTD to shop and eat lunch, if there in time, or dinner if later. Head back to Boardwalk to check-in if havent already and hanging out on the boardwalk, dinner or snack, swim a little maybe, early bed.

December 24
(Not getting Hoppers) First bus to MK for EMH doing what we can (Speedway, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates, Haunted Mansion (our musts for the day), fastpasses for those we can't get to and anything else that becomes available. If we ride nothing else than those rides above, we will be happy. Rest of the day, just stroll, grab fastpasses if we see one that fits with our schedule, watch parades (which we never do because we are always trying to get in as many rides as possible), go in shops and really take in everything that we usually miss. Fireworks at night. No ADRS and are bringing own snacks but will probably have at least one CS meal at an off time. Right now, we plan on staying all day for fear of not being able to get back in. My boys are 13 and 16 so they can handle that.

December 25
First bus to DHS to do Toy Story Mania and grab a FP then head to RNRC and ToT. Again, our musts. Rest of the day, again see shows we normally don't see, grab fastpasses for other things if we decide to do them and they fit with what we are doing where we are. CS for lunch at an off time, ADR for SciFi Diner (asked kids where they wanted Christmas dinner, and this is where they picked!! They love it!!) This will be our first trip back to DHS since 2001. Osbourne Lights. Although we have been to MK and Epcot several times since then.

December 26 - 28
One day, we plan to do the monorail resorts, and also WL, BYC and AKL and maybe walk to Swan and Dolphin to check out decorations...rest of the time, hang out at BW, swim, etc.

Another day, if the weather permits, go to Wet and Wild water park.

Another day, completely open right now, maybe back to DTD for more shopping if want, I wouldnt mind checking out the new AoA hotel, or maybe even head to Cocoa Beach.

Like I said, we have a few more days then we typically get to spend in Orlando because we usually just fit in a day before or after a cruise, but this time if all about the CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS. I hope that even with the chaos of the crowds, our slowed down version of Disney with less feeling like we have to rush to get all the rides in, will make it for a great excperience.

Please let me know what you think.....

you know that's what all us romantics are rooting for when it comes to you and Abby...

better yet, just buy the ring, propose during your trip, and put us all out of our misery!

perfect! ::yes::

If you have a car, you'll definitely be fine hopping. Especially between DHS and AK, drive time is only about 5 minutes. I never hopped (didn't think it was worth the extra cost) until I started working there and all my admission included hopping. The only reason we hop now is because we've done everything so many times that we are fine going to a park to do a couple of things and then moving on to the next one.

Haha, propose before actually dating? I think I might scare her away. Though, we kinda had a mini-date last night. We both watched the same movie at the same time (via Netflix), and Skyped during the movie so we could talk about the movie/whatever else came to mind. It was surprisingly fun!

I love reading everyone's plans!! I can't believe we are only 44 days out!!!

Aww you're so cute. :lovestruc

So is there any cheaper option to getting park tickets? Or am I pretty much resigned to paying $1k for 4 of us?

Depending on your options you can get some discounts from Undercover Tourist. But other than that, tickets aren't discounted.

EDIT: unless you're military or FL resident.

*screams* IT'S STARTED!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

May I join?
We are a family of five- DH, DS20, DD18, DS14 and me.
We're flying in from chilly Montana (well, DS is flying in from slightly-less-chilly Colorado and DD from practically-tropical-California). It's a special trip just because the two older kids are in college now and far away from home. We just have had so many great vacays at Disney that it really seemed like the place to go for what might be our last big family trip for the forseeable future.

Sob.....

Okay, I've regained my composure a bit....

So I plan to really do this one up right! We're staying at the YC from Dec. 13-19 (they insisted we be home for Christmas).

I have ressies for the CP, EPCOT Dive Quest, and scored Be Our Guest (that was an epic feat of determined motherhood, for sure!). Actually, I'm the Belle fan, they couldn't care less about where we eat.

Really looking forward to the Osborne lights, and decorations in general as we've not been during the Holidays before!!!

I'm a touring commando, but I think I'll need dual plans so the kids can stay up as late as their little hearts desire and sleep in if they want. So staying on -site is going to be awesome since they can look after themselves (at Disney, anyway :rotfl:) if they don't want to hang with mom & dad. We have dinner scheduled for just the two of us at the Yachtsman. :flower3:

Today I had a bit of a panic because my master packing list was nowhere to be found. It's a finely-tuned list of which I save different versions depending on where we're going, and it's taken me a dozen years to refine it. I had just mislabeled it "Hawaii" because that's where we went last June. Whew! Now on to the fun stuff!

Pleased to meet you all and looking forward to sharing some great plans!:wave2:

Welcome!!!! The YC looks so nice and great location!!!!! The Osborne Lights are amazing!!!! Glad you found your packing list. :thumbsup2 I am guessing you may need a few more clothes for this trip than you did in Hawaii. :goodvibes
