***Post Your MNSSHP Costume Ideas***

I'm making a DIY Belle costume on a budget, but her normal everyday blue dress. Lucked out and found a perfect blue dress at Marshall's, 3/4 length white undershirt and an apron at Joanne's craft store. So excited!!

Almost have my costume ready ! I'm getting excited ! I going to be Jasmine without my stomach showing . Well it has like see through material over the stomach area, but you cant really see that much. I have a aqua colored costume with gold trim and beads on different parts from the Disney store. I bought a long black ponytail hair piece, and right now I'm working a a gold necklace with gems in it. I bought one off ebay. The gems in it were perfect but the metal was a dark color so I'm painting it with metalic gold paint to make it gold. So far it is looking pretty good ! I need to put another coat of paint on it. I already have the big gold earrings. So next is shoes I have my DGD's costume ready, but it was pretty easy she is going to be Belle and I bought her costume and shoes. I also bought her a wavy brown hair piece . Ebay has some pretty cheap hair pieces. Not sure what my daughter is going to be ?
Now I'm wandering if we should wait to change at MK before the party or change before we go to MK ? The only problem is we may ride a few rides. I'm not sure how that is going to go with us wearing costumes. DGD has a hoop at the bottom of her dress ! If we change at MK where is a good place to do that ? Oh my I have 2 weeks and 2 days before we are in Disney !! I'm so excited !!!!!! I will see if I can get some pics to add on here as soon as we get them done .

We were at the party on 9/18 and saw an AWESOME costume. A couple dressed as Gary and Mary from THE MUPPETS, complete with a Walter along for the ride.

DS is going as Cpt. America, I am making a Minnie Mouse costume, and DH wants to be Pete. We are going on 10/23 and I can't wait to get pics!

I LOVE IT!!!! You did a great job on your costume! I'm being a villain my self this year. Still working on the costume. Winifred Sanderson Hocus Pocus. Is a first for me as well. So you had fun I'm changing our plans to do two parties too.

To be honest, it was really hard to do everything we wanted to do this year because we brought my parents and everyone has different agendas. Also, because of the rain and I don't know what else there was no headless horseman and we missed half the fun we normally have. It was a harvest moon that night, though... very cool. Despite the short rain, fireworks happened and we got about 12 pounds of candy, seriously. lol

Photopass quality is much better than this, actually, but the photopass photographer will take a picture of you with your camera as well, so you could decide after the trip if you like.

Friday night no one cared and it was a total free for all with photos... We even had a lot of CMs stoP us. But Sunday was a different beast and we were repeatedly fussed at by CMs and told we couldn't even stop and let anyone take a photo *of* us... We felt so rude all night.

Mind. Blown. Seriously I'm in total awe! Where did you learn to sew like that!?

Self taught mostly, my mom taught me a bit when I was little but it's been mostly trial and error and books on historic construction. I will post a pic of us later when I have a real computer available we went 9/30 &10/5

Yeah I felt rude all sun and fri too, wish I has known you were going to Merida!! You needed hamish!

I almost got in some serious trouble because a family wouldn't leave us alone and despite me using the international sign of "no!" we were assaulted and photographed even though we struggling to get away. It wasn't pretty.

That night was a giant cluster of miscommunication it seems.

And the photo thing was crazy because I can't even tell you how many cast members (some on duty, some who were there as guests - including character performers) posed for photos with us and NO ONE cared....then by Sunday it was like they flipped a switch and went mad on you if you even tried talking to people about your costume. It was crazy especially since we've read here that official policy is photos are ok as long as you don't POSE as the character, and no autographs.

We went to the rained out party on Thursday - 10/4. We were so excited about our costumes, especially my husband!

I went as Quorra from Tron, DH was Capt. Jack Sparrow, my sister was Alice and her husband was the Mad Hatter. My husband took his role very seriously. If anyone said to him "Hey it's Jack Sparrow!", he'd immediately reply "CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow" in the accent. It was pretty entertaining.

Really...I find that hard to believe. For one, I didn't see 30 people with killer-Disney-look alike costumes, lol...plus, how would that one CM have that information? I think they were just looking to scare people. Did you have the same problem at the other party you went to?

i agree with you there! he had a radio, so i assumed he was right..... you never know... yes, the other party was the same i didnt even have my wristband on and i was being yelled at. like i was getting it on, some girl was standing next to me and i was being yelled at for "posing with her" um no, i was putting on my glove from my finger scan and getting a band put on, that is one sexy cinderella pose right there. lol!!!!!
