ooh anyone have good ideas on surprising the kids? They think we are staying at POR. my dd was so upset when i told her we couldnt stay at AoA. We plan to stop at AoA before heading to POR to see if we could get a tour lol so now i have to figure out the big reveal of where we are really staying when we get to AoA. I was thinking of asking the CM to hand dd a bday card that i would bring and have it say it in the card, but i want something more exciting!

We're booked here for this coming February! Taking our great-niece for her 3rd birthday and her first trip to the world. We booked a Cars suite-it's her favorite movie ! So excited lol

When you get in line to check in at AoA, could you tell your DD that you're just getting the information/map for a self-guided tour. Then when you start your "tour" you could say the CM even gave you a key to a sample room to look at. Once you're in the room you could share the surprise. Just a thought....

We're booked in a Nemo Suite in June 2013 but my kids think we're staying at Pop Century again. I'm hoping to keep the secret until will pull into the parking lot at AoA but since my DH already spilled the beans about the trip (we usually don't tell the kids we're going to Disney until about a month before we go) I'm not holding my breath on him keeping a secret about our resort for another 9 months.

Well, after seeing the LM rooms pics on Allears, I've jumped ship from POFQ to AofA. The rooms are so cute. It'll be just DH & I so the smaller room won't be an issue. I'm so looking forward to it. C'mon February!

Request a King Room, it will be nice.

Or have your husband start taking the kids on a walk. Explain that you need to go to restroom and that you will catch up to them shortly. Go check in and get your room key. You go to the room and call your husband to tell him where you are at. Surprise the kids by opening the door when they get there.

I can't wait to be here in December! It's becoming more and more difficult to keep this secret. No one in my family knows we're staying here...they think we're staying at Pop like we always do! The pictures and videos look amazing but I can't wait to see it with my own eyes. Disney makes everything magical!!

My question is this....In the food court, is the coffee STILL the nescafe or did they finally wise up and get regular good ol' joe??????

The last time we vacationed at the world I almost choked from this "coffee"......

Funny thing, with all the complaints about Disney coffee, my DH had no problem with it. We never turned the coffee pot on, just got it at LoF.

I am only a Tim Horton's coffee drinker (brewed at Tim Horton's) but DH drinks coffee every AM (from home). I don't drink it everyday and can do without it. DH needs to drink it. So we're bringing a super small travel coffee maker (yes yes I know we're technically not supposed to do that but we will unplug it when done). I don't want to deal with DH's complaining and needing to stop somewhere to find "real" coffee every AM (and mess up my plans....I say my because DH said I am planning everything I wish he would just drink the Nescafe but nope.

I still think it is dumb that there are not coffee makers in every single room on property but everywhere else seems to have them.

When you get off of Magical Express, there are greeters, and some easels set up for kids to draw on. Get your kids drawing, while you or DH go check in.

Take the tour, and end it in your room
